I want MMX9 too, but I have no idea how they are going to have it make sense after they wrote themselves into a corner with the zero series.
X7,X8, and command mission are all in canon limbo so I'm unsure of how they could reconcile continuing the series without major retcons or conflicting with games that take place later in the timeline.

X6's Zero ending is like the placed at the end of the X timeline, allowing for more sequels

That's what was said, but that also means that no further X games can ever have major happenings or developments because the future is set in stone. Unless they outright admit to multiple timelines they have to play it safe. The exeption being if they want to finally make that elf wars game, but we're never going to get that.

You know, while I want a legit X platformer more, I'd take one more healthy injection of characters into the universe. Especially if they do better at the RPG aspects this time around.

Disagree, the bosses were more fun for me and more varied, and there were also more of them. I was only disappointed by the lack of a hidden boss.
The hub was also much less of a pain to navigate

I think the rpg mechanics of command mission were great, but it heavily suffered from having environments on the level of a compile heart game

Am I the only one worried about the mega man x collection? For any of you who played the mega man legacy collection you know it has sound issues and input lag and it’s actually better to play the vc versions or emulate it for a much better experience

When I say "RPG aspects" I mean more like plot and character development. There's very little in the way of a grand story and the side characters barely matter at all.
The combat, however, was surprisingly pretty fun.

snes is better when playing it, psx is better for listening to in the background. The remixed themes don't fit the stages, but they are usually a nice take on the track.

I don't want it because I would want it to be based on sprites. Gaming companies as big as Capcom almost always avoid doing sprite games now. If it just absolutely could not be sprites then I would want to see them do at least a stylized 3D look. The remake of Megaman X looked they made looked shit.

That was working with PSP hardware. Now they have stronger hardware to work with. For PSP games, MHX (and Powered Up) look alright, when you consider the hardware at the time.
