From the very start I held his opinion and I feel like I'm doing wrong the whole game, anyone else?
I like P5 but I can't help thinking he's right
>anyone else?
No
How? He murdered a bunch of people just because he wanted to get revenge on his dad, that's pathetic as fuck.
He is right though. Too bad that's not what he actually thinks
Caos fag pretending being a lawfag
Do you mean the changing hearts thing?
Well, he was right, considering the bad ending.
He's pathetic. He crafts a wholly fake public persona to gain approval, yet utterly fails to establish any meaningful bonds. He struggles for the sake of an imagined moment of comeuppance with his father, only for it to be revealed that Shido knew, was utterly indifferent, and planned on disposing of him anyways. He rages at Joker for the latter's seemingly effortless ability to establish what he so desperately wants, yet will always lack: real connections with people.
>Fuck, people might agree with Akechi, what the fuck do we do?
>I got it! He was merely pretending the whole time!
...
This. We're forgetting that he also wanted to be known as the famous ace detective, which would open up doors for the rest of his life. If you take into account what powers he had over his entire life, he actually isn't terribly clever. He just used his position to make his observations into genius inferences.
Fuck if I don't love his persona, though. I always thought it was kind of fucked up that Robin Hood would be this buff, flamboyant superhero; but after the twist it made it so much better.
>Character looks like Light Yagami
>Uses supernatural means to kill people as the "law"
Truly the Evangelion of video games.
>he actually isn't terribly clever.
He literally "solved" murders that he committed. He's definitely less intelligent than Joker.
Even ignoring that everything he said was a lie and that he's a psychopath murderer.
His arguments even before that's revealed are impossibly convenient.
>The Phantom Thieves are dangerous, they shouldn't be taking the law into their own hands!
>They were formed initially to deal with a rapist teacher. What exactly were the police doing about him?
>Er
>And after that they acted against a powerful artist who'd been abusing his students for years, were the police planning on stopping him at any point?
>Well...
>After that they took down a Mafuosa boss. Someone who'd been completely untouchable and who was preying on students. When were the police goona step in?
>Hey now...
Yeah, yeah, vigilantism goes against the rule of law, but when the police are worthless and corrupt, it's got a place.
He is right about all that law and due process shit. But he is a murderous bastard who solves his own crimes. He killed Haru's dad and sullied the title of Ace Detective. Fuck this guy.
>upset about ruining the title of ace detective
>posts yet another pretender to the throne
Make way, true ace detective coming through.
You're literally brainwashing people to fit your standards on what is right and wrong. No shit what you're doing is horrible, but the game dodges any attempts at interesting commentary by having you only do it to Saturday Morning Cartoon villains. The writing and story in P5 are absolutely horrible. It comes off like a seventh grader wrote it.
I love this game but I just hate some parts so much.
>Ryuji's entire character and how he gets pissed at everything unless someone tells him to calm down
>Morgana's narration in battles and how he speaks for you e.g. inviting art man to live at the Cafe
>Akechi talking about Justice in the TV interview is how I view the Phantom Thieves the whole game
>muh adults are horrible good thing we will never be them
Rule of law is worthless when the police don't do their job, which they explicitly weren't in P5
It's just nu-chuuni nonsense since that's what people love.
Brainwashing is fine though, whats wrong with it? They only did it on people who deserved it, and what they were doing is cleansing them of literal distortions in their mind, its objectively fine.
Daily reminder that Goro did nothing wrong.
Daily reminder that he is best boy and will be playable for the entirety of Persona Q2.
Daily reminder he will be revived and become a permanent member of the PT in the P5 remake.

>inviting art man to live at the Cafe
You wouldn't have done this?
Ryuji isn't anywhere near that bad and he takes far more than he gives.
Morgana as the players voice is the same as Yosuke in 4 and Junpei/Yukari in 3.
Akechi brings up points that are nice to hear but never once addresses the issues the Thieves were formed to solve. Without them Kamoshida would have continued abusing female students, the Yakuza guy would have gotten off scott free, Haru would have been sold, etc.
The Police were corrupt and ineffectual the entire game, Akechi knows this, he and Sae explicitly avoid working with them or sharing information with them because it's pointless. The Police allow someone like Akechi to kill someone in their HQ, after they brutalized a confession out of him. Nevermind all the collusion with Shido.
The point about the ending of the game and the discussion with Sae was about growing up properly and her creating a world they can be honest adults in.
He DID have a point and the fact that it was swept under the rug with "lol he's just crazy" was incredibly shitty writing.
Even before he showed to be crazy, he was working around and behind the police. You're meant to see he's a hypocrite since the second cutscene with Sae.
The PTs can't be trusted because vigilantism is bad. Okay sure, I guess.
But the police are worthless, so I won't work with them, I'll just do it all myself.
>Catching the people bringing people to justice is more important than stopping the rapists and murderers in the first place
