Instead we got unlicensed System Shock 3.
Human Revolution. You didn't say an active cop.
Mankind Divided is almost literally Blade Runner 2048, though. But for some reason the same kind of ending is pure kino instead of "REEE only half a movie!"
>"REEE only half a movie!"
What the fuck 2048 was two hours long and had a satisfying conclusion what are those pedophiles mad about now
It's the same issue that MD had, but it's good because they didn't have a "Replicant Your Pre-Order" promo for the movie. The movie tells one arc and ends before they get to the actually exciting shit about to go down, while the actual villains are untouched aside from one grunt.
>was two hours long
Almost three hours. I remember because I'm actually happy I held in my pee because Harrison Ford was the one enjoyable part of the movie.
>Harrison Ford was the one enjoyable part of the movie.
All this bad taste
Nope.
It isn't the same kind of ending, though. This isn't Sup Forums, so I won't sperg out too hard about it, but 2049 has a much more thematically compelling and complete finale with all of the major threads tied up.
2049 ends with K taking his life into his own hands and "becoming human" by expressing compassion through his own decisions, even if it ends up killing the revolution in the process. Mankind Divided ends when you knock out a terrorist and then complain that you don't know who the villains are.
>pedophiles have bad and wrong opinions
What else is new.
Future Cop
Sorry I see movies to enjoy myself instead of 30 bucks of wanking over how I have a high IQ.
>with all of the major threads tied up
Except the replicant rebels who expect to fuck themselves to victory, or anything with Wallace (oh no, he'll have to buy a new secretary). By the same logic MD had all the major threads tied up. Who cares about Janus or the Illuminati, those aren't major threads at all!
>The movie tells one arc and ends before they get to the actually exciting shit about to go down, while the actual villains are untouched aside from one grunt.
Did you actually miss the basic point of that movie?
PERSONAL
ACCOUNTABILITY
>Sorry I see movies to enjoy myself
I'm a low IQ low test capeshit watcher and I went to see 2049 twice.
The basic point is that audience should be bored for three hours because that's what being human is about?
>or anything with Wallace
The less Wallace on screen, the better. Fuck Jared Leto.
All the shit you're complaining about is extraneous to the plot and would only ruin the movie, you might as well complain we never got to see C-Beams glittering off the shoulder of Orion.
>thinking that the rebels and Wallace were unresolved plot threads in the context of the ending
G-Police
Torrent when
Cells.
Apparently the movie was 2deep4u because "defeating" Wallace does not matter whatsoever to the story the movie actually tells
...
Have you ever been in an institution. Cells.
That's my point. The same argument applies to MD. Either having greater conflicts unresolved with the actual story being mostly meaningless in the big picture is "half a story" or it's cinematic genius.
But when it's a 2deep4u movie, it's a good thing.
>you might as well complain we never got to see C-Beams glittering off the shoulder of Orion
I do. The universe of the story is huge, and we see a fraction of the western US. The whole conflict started off world, and we don't even get to know what that means.
When you're not performing your duties do they keep you in a little box? Cells.
What's it like to hold the hand of someone you love? Interlinked
Do they teach you how to finger? Interpinked.
>The whole conflict started off world, and we don't even get to know what that means.
That's the entire point, jackass.
The replicant's stories are invalid because they're not considered human.
Read some fucking post-colonialism literary theory.
Came here to say this
Have you actually played Mankind Divided and watched Blade Runner 2049? Honest question.
I also argued for MD's ending before playing through the game, but after actually experiencing how sudden and awful it was, my mind was changed.
Mankind Divided feels firmly like they just chopped off a three-act story at the middle of act two, 2049 tells a complete, compelling story while leaving some things open for discussion and interpretation.
>Mankind Divided feels firmly like they just chopped off a three-act story at the middle of act two

Mostly irrelevant to the story which is centered around K and his investigation into the replicant child and his inner struggles.
>By the same logic MD had all the major threads tied up. Who cares about Janus or the Illuminati, those aren't major threads at all!
Except the difference between Blade Runner/Blade Runner 2049 and Deus Ex Human Revolution/Mankind Divided is that one actually has a focus on taking down the larger evil and fixing society while the other is a more personal story with social injustice as mostly a background?
Observer.
If you're going to just copy something so you can shitpost because you know that you aren't equipped to have an intelligent conversation, at least change the wording to make it make sense.
>Mostly irrelevant to the story which is centered around K and his investigation into the replicant child and his inner struggles.
And we can say MD was centered around the mystery of the train station bombing and ARC.
>Except the difference between Blade Runner/Blade Runner 2049 and Deus Ex Human Revolution/Mankind Divided is that one actually has a focus on taking down the larger evil and fixing society while the other is a more personal story with social injustice as mostly a background?
This is a better point, although if MD existed in a vacuum, I don't know if you'd still think that.
rest in peace
>And we can say MD was centered around the mystery of the train station bombing and ARC.
Yeah. And Mankind Divided wrapped up that plot while advancing the overarching Illuminati plot more.
Although I understand the reasons why people are upset with the cut content of Mankind Divided, I'm not actually in the camp that dislikes the fact that MD didn't deal with the overarching plot in one game.
>This is a better point, although if MD existed in a vacuum, I don't know if you'd still think that.
I would because like you said, MD was centered around the mystery of the bombing and ARC. There's a larger evil at work and Jensen is trying to figure out whats going on so he can stop them which he can do.
Jensen's conflicts came secondary to this story and could actually be skipped if you chose to do so pretty much.
any game about the military
