It takes several days to get across the pacific, and to mobilize the forces needed to get across the pacific, and to equip the forces to get across the pacific. How would the US not notice that, the US has/had the largest navy, multiple pacific naval bases and naval surveillance networks to track soviet subs in both oceans. Your telling me we were so focused on fighting in Europe that noone in CINCPAC noticed the russians building up a huge ground force in one of the very few pacfic ports they have, loading them onto disguised container ships, and then traversing the ocean to a rallying point near seattle. That would have taken months to orchestrate, and be stupidly obvious, and all it would have taken is one tor two carrier groups to shrek it.

Canonically, the US pacific fleet at that time was engaged heavily and distracted by the Soviet pacific fleet.
The fleet wouldn't have stopped the troop transports, the Coast Guard would have.

Now that you mention it, I think that you are right, after the Chinese joined the war they pushed america out of the pacific. That would make for an interesting scenario though. After the failure of taking seattle China decides to rush their fleet to the panama channel in order to delay the eventual transfer of ships from the atlantic. As wic is placed after the Falklands war, and Argentina may block the south from america's ships too. that could ignite a war in south america and make the conflict even bigger
