Both games suffer from an incredibly simplistic alchemy system, a generally uninteresting character cast, bland environments, and a weaker soundtrack than usual for Gust. Personally, I don't think they're bad or anything, but it's a definite step down from Dusk series.

Berseria Sold almost as much on PC as it did on PS4.
And because its a digital only title on pc it acualy made more than the western physical release on PS4.
Because retail takes as much as 60% of all profits (Manufacture, shipping, console royalties, Retail store takes a cut ) while steam takes only 33%.

Cry all you want but PC is now the second biggest JRPG platform in the world when it comes to profits from JRPGs.
And in terms of amount of content its also the biggest and i am not even counting Emulation.

I liked first game, but it really was rough on the edges, plus port was mediocre. Also, people saw initial reaction of those who played jap console versions, and this made many potential buyers way too wary. Of course, then came release, and it was yet another hack-job by Koei, and here we are.
Still, PC version probably turned some profit since most likely budget for porting was a pack of insta-noodles or two.

The massive trails 2nd failure caused enough hilarious butthurt on falcom fags, that people keep looking for the new weebtanic.

But Japanese sales cannot be compared because people in japan dont game on PC.
And the Pc version has no support for Japanese language so the publisher obviously was not targeting the Japanese audience on PC.

If we used Japanise sales to dictate the success of games than many games should not even come out of japan.
Are you sauyng that if a game doesn't sell as much outside of japan its a pitifully attempt and we should never have gotten it in the first place.
Even if you account for the sales of Berseria on pc and the fact PC digital only makes almost 2X as much for each coopy sold technically PC berseria holds 40% of all profits for the game.

The difference is that even though they developed really fast, the older ones like the Arland games and Ayesha are fantastic and EschaLogy is good. The past three Atelier games, Shallie, Sophie and Firis, are fucking awful.

This has me butthurt as fuck. Nioh is not only far superior to Automata or Berseria, it's one of the best action games released in recent years.
It's like PC gamers can't recognize good games when they see them.

It's a nice game, but it's just too expensive for a niche anime game. KT also makes it hard to want to support them as a company.

I imagine most people interested in soulslikes already played it on PS4 since Bloodborne's also there and there initially was no sign of it ever coming out on other platforms. Dark Souls III did well on PC because it was known from the start it'd get a PC release and it came out almost at the same time as the console versions.

Nioh has been on Steam 1 month only.
Berseria didn't reach those numbers immediately.
I believe Nioh is selling way better than Berseria did in similar period of time.

Nioh has been out for only a month, man give it time. That said, the "low" sales has got more to do with people being wary of KT's games like what said.

It pays nicely on my steam controller with the official Team Ninja steam controller scheme.

My expectations were a nice, simple yuri story with good character development (like Gust's other games) and 6/10 gameplay. I got a game with non-existent writing and 3/10 gameplay

Guilty as charged. I bought a PS4 for Bloodborne and bought Nioh because I didn't think it would get a PC port.
Still I bought the Steam version because I want to support PC ports (and it includes the DLC chapters which I haven't played yet) even when I already put 270 hours into the PS4 version.
