The gameplay and level design were better in MD compared to HR. Too bad the story didn't go anywhere. Still, it's a decent game to get on sale

DX isn't entirely about megacorps though, just how power in general corrupts, overall the message I got from the first game was quite pessimistic, even the idea of JC merging with the AI to become some sort of messianic entity that would guide mankind seemed completely silly.

Bought it on sale and I dig it but I spend most of my time talking to people. I've never even had to pull out my revolver yet.

md was a pleasant surprise, I honestly thought it'd be the same as hr, but it took a lot of improvements off of hr, but it still doesn't surpass the original

Somebody at Square Enix wanted Mankind Divided to flop so they could strongarm Eidos into working on the Marvel deal in its place.

Don't forget they've added singleplayer microtransations in MD. And they've done it at the very last moment, after they sent the copies to the reviewers. It didn't affect the gameplay but it was still and extremely shitty thing to do

considering how this totally fucked the game's reputation as anything but an unfinished cash-in, it feels like it was thrown in intentionally to ruin everything. clearly somebody at eidos pissed in some jap's cornflakes.

Has Square Enix ever done anything right? They ruined both companies by merging, most of the key staff that made each company what they were either were fired or left because of shitty business practices, they kill developers and IPs, promoted fucking Nomura so long ago that neo Sup Forums actually can't wait for the shit he is allowed to direct (despite being a fucking artist who doodles fifty fucking belts and spiky hair on everybody), and have successfully ruined their own flagship IP by allowing the aforementioned and some waifu obsessed poet to have free reign of it.

Literally the Japanese EA, except EA actually knows how to make money.

Doesn't help they also had that stupid pre-order unlock incentive disaster too that was cancelled.

I mean I played through HR like 3 times if you count halfway through run on the leaked version yet I haven't picked up MD yet either

I'ts better if it dies this way, they had to figure out an ending where all those augs dissapear, jensen dissapers, all the locations you went to dissapear and none of it is mentioned in the future, it was gonna be garbage
