Hell, I wish I just got more rain. Desert life sucks. 300 days of sunshine a year isnt as neat as it sounds. Any time it does rain it's a 10 minute spritz that feels like the dog sneezed straight up in the air while getting belly rubs. Sunsets are pretty though so theres that. An average sunset in the desert is better than an excellent sunset over the ocean.

Makoto is boring. Her appearance is cute, but nowhere near as good as many of the other girls in the game (Tae, Hifumi, Sadayo, Futaba, and definitely Ann have her beat. Sae too.). Her personality is bland, and she is literally only more interesting than Haru, who gets the least chance to develop a personality.

Did anybody else feel like none of the girls were attractive at all? Maybe it was the translation but I didn't think any of them had stunning personalities or felt particularly well written. It just didn't feel like you had any real sort of conversation with any of them - you're often helping them deal with something fairly serious. I felt like you had a better "conversation" with Iwai and Tae while browsing their store.
Futaba I think was the closest thing because she was adorable as fuck but she was pretty much a cartoon character.

I felt really bad for Kawakami too. But there was nothing by the conclusion of her story that made me want to plow that. All the characters had these incredibly charming moments or interactions with each other that made you melt but that behavior was a one-off thing.
It's so fucking weird. I got the impression from Sup Forums that this was a fucking waifu overload simulator but it wasn't. You helped them through a major crisis and that's about it.
I felt like Ryuji was like, the most endearing character. He was fully invested into the horndog shitter chasing tail and failing with a heart of gold and you could use him as a verbal punching bag and everyone else dogpiled on him. It felt like a real group dynamic with him whereas everyone, especially the women, were just kinda there giving color commentary. Yususke just gave up on being fucking weird when with the group. In fact, everyone gave up on their quirks when with the group or with the texts.
I think the game would have been the same, if not better, if it was just Ryuji, Futaba, Morgana, and Yusuke and it was written with them constantly exchanging the bantz non-stop. Ann could have been mostly herself but could be like a condescending bastard looking down at how weird everyone was and whenever it was needed that she slut herself up she could've been really "fuck all y'all".

I didn't really get that impression at. I felt Yusuke and Futaba were actually pretty characterful in the texts, with their banter back and forth, and Yusuke's speech pattern shines through there as well.
I do agree there definitely could have been more interplay between characters when they're all together. A lot of the time it does feel like Morgana is just throwing exposition at you with the others occasionally chiming in for flavor.
Yea. P4 advantage was that there was a lot of chemistry between characters in Investigation Team.

The only real interaction is maybe Joker, Makoto and Morgana.
But that was ONLY with Futaba. He pretty much gives up on being a freakshow with everyone else. I felt like the dynamic really changed after Mokoto came along. Like I said, if it was just the first three companions, Joker, and Futaba without getting watered down by the Mokoto and Haru, I think everything would have been better and we could've really focused on the interactions between each character.
And I agree that Morgana sucked for the most part and didn't really do much until Futaba came along. I think they could've really put in a lot more bits and gags and character interactions if we didn't get caught up with the others. We could have had Ryuji constantly ripping into Morgana for being a cat and Yusuke for being a weirdo, lots more moments of Joker fucking up their coffee, Futaba chasing Morgana around to pet, everyone perving out on Ann like when Morgana and Ryuji tried to look up her skirt, and a ton more nice moments that just didn't happen enough. I understand the Palaces feature each character but to be honest I think the gameplay fucking sucked for the most part so there would be no great loss if two of the Palaces didn't involve Makoto or Haru.
I wanted Sae to say she was going to rip your balls off for dating her sister. I wanted to feel like SOME of our decisions mattered. I've been so fucking spoiled by Witcher 3.

Not the guy you just responded to, but I agree that the game should of had the characters interact with each other more. Whenever they did play off each other I was more interested because then it actually felt like they were an actual group, rather than the feeling I got sometimes like they were all people just connected because of Joker, even when that's not what they were supposed to be.
Also yeah I noticed that the group and tone seemed to change when Makoto was introduced to the group. Maybe she was an actual good character, but I'll never know because the game did a fucking awful job at getting me interested in her because of how they handled it.

I have hair like Joker. I got it because I don't put gel or style my hair in the morning because my job doesn't require me to look presentable. It just naturally falls like that.
It's not that great. It's tangled, knotty, and the barber hates it. If you keep your hair clean it looks like a homogeneous fluffy mass and doens't have the wisps of stuff in random directions. The only way for it to look as good as Joker wears it is if you fail to shower for a week and it gets disgustingly greasy, which I don't make a habit of. It has to be naturally greasy because that's how you get the randomness to look natural; if you use product, you would have to manually sculpt the randomness but it would look "fake" because the it would be obvious you're using product.

Hairstyles in games are designed to look good from one single perspective. You can't get hair like that in real life without trying to crab walk around everyone you meet. See Yukari as a perfect example of this.

The whole game felt like a missed opportunity to character interactions. It could have easily been an exceptionally amazing group dynamic backed up by fantastic visuals.
You could have easily gotten a situation where if you fuck up peoples' coffee enough the others stop asking for it or refuse to let you make it because the others told you how fucking bad you are at it compared to Sojiro. I really wanted Ann to be the resident hottie who gets pissed at the guys for being such pigs. I wanted Ryuji to tell Futaba, "fuck off omg" when her trolling finally gets to him.
I'm sorry to say that the goofy comics and fanart people make of the game are better writing than the actual situations in the game.
I want more than anything for the anime Joker to have a serious Christmas Cake fetish and completely ignores all the other women his age. I want that to be the hardest gag in the entire anime and everyone gives him a hard time about it. But that's just not going to happen. It would just be too fucking good and funny. You know how all the older women react funny when you tell them you love them - well you just skip that part in the anime because everyone knows what those scenes look like - instead, you have all the other characters reactions. Someone has to say, "What the fuck Joker; the fucking goth doctor at the clinic?"
