I agree with what everyone is saying, if there's no fucking timer you can fucking roll any Monster. Why fucking paintball when you can just fucking rotate non-stop until you find the fucker.

Nah, I read the whole comment chain and one guy got it right. Plague's whining about accessibility when he isn't far enough in the game to understand WHY certain mechanics still exist. If there was no timer, the multi-monster hunts where you take on two or sometimes even three Monsters within a single hunt would be incredibly redundant. This is like complaining about losing souls when you die in DS. Yes, it's frustrating and limiting your ability to fuck around while forcing you to play efficiently in order to avoid that mechanic. That's the point.

But Pat and Woolie is the best pair

Sure, but early on he addresses that by saying "there's a better way to do that". Vague as fuck, which gives him the upper hand in the argument since no one is asking him to clarify that "better" is, but he's right.

The timer is something that can be dealt with in a better way. First by introducing new players to all these systems, then placing increasingly more difficult restrictions, like the timer, on more challenging fights. Throwing it in there from the start is why newbs like Plague of Whine will bitch about it.
