Why doesn't South Korea make vidya?

Why doesn't South Korea make vidya?

Actual vidya, not the grindy p2w online games they make.

They want to literally make money I suppose.

They could still make money.
>Make game
>Release it
>People buy it

Umm

I KEEP TELLING YOU FUCKS TO LOOK UP THE SAME 3 GAMES EXCEPT NONE OF YOU DO.

THE SAME 4 PEOPLE GIVE YOU THE REASONS WHY THE GOOKS DON'T MAKE GAMES ANYMORE THAT AREN'T MOBAGE SHIT OR PW2 MMOS. CONTRACTING, LAWS, AND OTHER LITIGATION BULLSHIT MAKES IT NOT EVEN WORTH IT TO TRY AND EVEN MAKE COMPREHENSIVE AND/OR ORIGINAL SHIT ANYMORE

Please elaborate.

Because they dont want to compete with Japan.

>CONTRACTING, LAWS, AND OTHER LITIGATION BULLSHIT MAKES IT NOT EVEN WORTH IT TO TRY AND EVEN MAKE COMPREHENSIVE AND/OR ORIGINAL SHIT ANYMORE

Can you expand on this?

Which part

Not him, but I read before that South Korea cannot legally make traditional video games for some reason.

>LOOK UP THE SAME 3 GAMES
and
>CONTRACTING, LAWS, AND OTHER LITIGATION BULLSHIT MAKES IT NOT EVEN WORTH IT TO TRY AND EVEN MAKE COMPREHENSIVE AND/OR ORIGINAL SHIT ANYMORE

They made Superbeat Xonic or whatever

South Korea literally has laws about what kinda of games they're allowed to make.

Why doesn't North Korea?

The three games made by the gooks that I enjoyed the most and constantly recommend for you to somehow find and play are as follows
>Seal Travelers of Destiny. RPG with ATP Bar combat.
>War of Genesis 3: Tactics game.
>Kingdom Under Fire: Started out as an RTS but spawned into other genres
These are from the late 90's before everything turned into MMOs.
The context of the gook's shitty lifestyle is partly to blame. Education is always fucking cutthroat and schools end way later in the day so the average korean "gamer" back in the day and now have very little time to actually play games. Those that do mostly play all their stress away in unhealthy sessions of constant gaming. This is why gooks constantly have issues with videogames being hindering to their kids' lifestyle and this eventually spawn the Pro-Gaming career to shut these people up. Console-wise, korea got the worst case scenario. Imagine all the GTA controversy linking games to violence, bad behavior, and poor health took root in America instead of being rightfully ignored. Most koreans back then treated this shit like the plague and console gaming in particular took the biggest hit. The public ethics committee oversee this shit and even after some revision, making their own games that aren't on PC is difficult as shit and just not worth the effort.

Thus we come to the absolute ease and risk-free venture of MMOS. Cheap to make and since asians abso-fucking-lutely love trends for some reason, they cash in on these hard. It's pretty simple to figure it out from there. Mobages took over in the past decade for the same reason it took off in Japan and China, a lot of people just need a time-killer as they go to and from work.

Every scientist is hired to make poverty nukes

Because if you do anything you'll be forced with human experimentation

Not to mention that the government can regulate playing time on MMOs, but not on offline console games. Some can actually go to jail for playing too much. Life is really shit over there.

Korea is absolute hell if you're a student or a lowly salaryman. But that applies a lot in Asia.

They're decades behind to really make anything of decent quality.

If Koreans started making games they would destroy Japan's economy.

Korea needs to do away with their absurd gaming/internet laws along with their anti-pornography laws.

Do you think they'll ever start making games and join the industry?

Japan has outlawed porn too, hence the loophole known as pixelation which somehow makes it not-porn. The Yakuza also have some sway in that market too.

kek

Maybe in a couple decades.
I'm hard-pressed to believe that.
