The fuck have they been doing? Three years holed away with no hint except that it isn't a Metroid or Donkey Kong? Surely there's gotta be at least some semi-credible leaks by now.
The fuck have they been doing? Three years holed away with no hint except that it isn't a Metroid or Donkey Kong...
Well I wanted them to do Metroid, but mainly just because they had been successful. Now that Metroid is covered I'd love to see them shine with a new IP.
It hasn't really been that long, between Corruption's release and DKCR's announcement 3 years passed. Wait until next year's E3 to start worrying.
They were making the Prime Trilogy compliation between those years, though.
Eternal Darkness
It would be cool to see a new IP from them.
Fuck you for putting doomed hope in my heart, user.
Point being
That it wasn't a total three year gap. This is. This is the longest they've ever spent without releasing a title or without even saying what they're working on.
It's a shame that longer dev times don't automatically mean huge games. As FFXV and SKyward Sword taught me too well.
F-Zero
No racing game needs that long to develop.
F-Zero isn't your average racing game
I don't think the switch could even handle an F-Zero in handheld mode. That's a game that kind of demands the best possible frame rate at all times.
The switch is the exact same in handheld mode as docked mode nigger
Who knows, maybe they've teamed up with GF and are trying to get Pokemon Switch ready. If anyone is competent enough, it would be Retro.
The N64 pulled it off. Why would a switch not be able to? Or are you just shit posting?
They would not have picked Retro to do the Switch Pokemon game. Retro is Nintendo's ace-in-the-hole WESTERN developer, and they sure as shit aren't gonna hand over their second most valuable IP to a westerner.
Prime Trilogy is an easy to do filler title.
Eternal Darkness remake
Why three years? F-zero is not a very complicated game to make, even for a racing game. The only that might make it take that long to make is good graphics, something the series has never really had save for maybe the original SNES title, and something the Switch might struggle to handle given the insane speed
Not so much that it didn't take months out of their schedule to make it, so still less than three years.
I really doubt Nintendo would revive that series given how little interest they've ever had in it, but even if they did it would not take three whole years to remake that thing.
Are you ready? Don't read this if you're not.
Golden Sun
Metroid and Donkey Kong are both titles that are dear to the higher ups at Nintendo. Golden Sun isn't, and honestly I don't even know what the fuck you could do with the franchise anymore.
>Gave you the answer
>You quote me and type some retarded shit instead.
I ASKED IF YOU WERE FUCKING READY.
I didn't quote you.
Don't try and play mind games to worm your way out of it. I gave you the answer, I asked if you were ready. You quoted me in your reply and replied directly to the post.
Knock it off.
Well to be honest I wouldn't be ready for it. Dark Dawn was big letdown, and aside from retconning it I don't see how Retro can salvage anything from where that game left off. I'd be immediately suspicious that it could ever live up to the amazing memories I have of the two games on the Gameboy Advance.
There actually was a hint like a year ago if you were paying attention. The composer for the original Deus Ex and the Unreal games, Alexander Brandon, is working with them on a project. It's heavily implied to be a sci-fi type of project but since it's not Metroid Prime, we don't know if it's a new IP or what.
