the great debate
The great debate
>Nintendo shit
>Actual game
What's there to debate?
Hmm. A brand new game. Or a port of a mediocre one. Gee. I wonder.
Bloodlines ≥ Rondo > IV
shit serie.
Only the most retarded brainlet could think CV4 is better than Rondo
Right has Maria, so that one is better.
I prefer IV but both are really good
>Or a mediocre port.
Fix'd
Patrician tier opinion right there.
Though III is still the best in the series.
easy, right
No debate at all. Rondo is the best in the series.
CV4 is so fucking weird.
Super IV. Rondo looks and sounds great but its too short and doesn't have as many branching paths as 3.
III > I > IV > Bloodlines > Rondo
Rondo is overrated to all hell. The level design is so fucking boring compared to III.
This guy knows whats up.
What's the best way to play Rondo of Blood?
The remake in the PSP looks terrible, a puke inducing abomination.
Protip, its actually better. Play it on oled vita for best experience.
but it looks terrible, it is one of the ugliest implementations of 2.5D
Rondo (PC SCD) was the best Castlevania of that generation. Bloodlines was not even a Castlevania game, it was like the cheap Genesis version of the series, and felt like that common Sega failure Licensed games (outside of Disney) were utter garbage. "Cool! X-Men! Waaaaait, M.O.D.O.C.K.'s Manic Maze Madness??!?!! Well, at least I get to ki- ROBOTS??!??? What the actual FUCK?" The fact of the matter was that Sega was the fail train to shitville up until the 128-bit era. Even THAT system was just slightly ahead of it's time ( though I loved it so).
You can also play the original Rondo on PSP.
Can't you also play SoTN on it, as well?
You sound like you just dont like moving backgrounds, name a good 2.5d then if it is the worst, surely you can name 100 of them.
>omg the bacground moves...my brain hurts.
Yup. The translation and voice cast is different, but otherwise it's the exact same game. I think it has the JP voices too but don't quote me on that.
Yes castlevania dracula x on psp/vita is 3 games in one once you unlock the other 2 in game, you dont even have to beat it to unlock them.
it's just fucking ugly and terrible, you retard
The newer Strider game and Bionic Commando Rearmed are better.
>name 100
no fuck off, get some taste retard
Here is dracula x chronicles games unlocked
I say Dracula X is the better. The beginning bass on Stage one always got me pumped up.
Ok now it sounds like you just like cyborg pixel shooters, I bet you didnt even by Matterfall, I did.
So play the original version of the game that's included with it you moron.
He does have to play the game to unlock the original and SoTN, though it doesn't take that long if you have a guide I guess.
You can unlock them very easily, it isnt like you have to get past the Death fight which would be a bitch, ive beaten the game, i posted my vita, death fight is a bitch
Oh I know, I've played it too and that is how I did it. I didn't mind the 2.5d graphics too much, though I much prefer the pixel and sprite based older graphics. But if he wants to play the original first then it kind of sucks that he has to at least play some of it on the remake to get to the original.
I found it as a cool reward, I mean how many games give you 3 games in one these days? Imagine if konami did a re-release of cv3 and had 1 2 and 4 as unlockables. That would be a great combo pack.
It does.
Dracula X
Rondo is a trainwreck of shit bosses, bad level design and weird sounds. Also too easy.
Neither
Bloodlines, Rondo, and SOTN are the only CV games you need
Rondo is a more balanced challenge, better music, and does more innovative stuff with the level progression but SCIV's controls are just too satisfying, and it still does everything that Rondo does better pretty well, so I pick that.
III and Bloodlines are better than both.
Fuck off, 1 and 3 are both classics
...
Both have their own merits, but personally I prefer IV, Rondo loses its steam once you've replayed it enough times. IV never gets old, just like the original CV.
Even Bloodlines is better than IV.
Diagonal whipping controls on Bloodlines are terrible. Level design is also meh.
Good music though, but that can be said about every CV game.
>Diagonal whipping controls on Bloodlines are terrible. Level design is also meh.
how so?
What was wrong with diagonal whipping?
>Castlevania 4
>Not a game
>Castlevania
>Not Konami shit
I know it's bait, but for Christ sake.
Most people here will say Rondo of Blood because it's the contrarian choice, and because Castlevania 4 is a Nintendo exclusive.
I don't like how you can't actually press diagonal up, you actually need to press up+attack. It also has a delay to it, especially when swinging. It doesn't feel well polished, although it's useful a handful of times during the game.
1 and X68000 are the best classicvanias.
