These games have aged better than just about anything in the series.
What's everyone's fave locations in the Oracle games? Pic related.

>not linking (HA!) the previous thread
I don't know exactly, but I remember when I found out about Subrosia, I got really happy. I felt like the design was nice and somewhat new for Zelda games. And its inhabitants are cute.
Dig up some more Din art
I wonder why this webm loops perfectly in chrome but kind of smoshes into a mess near the end in firefox.
>Fall
Comfiest season by far. Sole exception is that one house where the lady is waiting for Santa in the winter.
It's a rare zelda game that offers up a sub/dark world that isn't a total bummer.
>And its inhabitants are cute
"This Land is Nice, its Inhabitants Cute"
Fuck. I didn't realize it was a webm. I thought something was wrong with my monitor
Goron City in OoT was pretty awesome
I always loved going into Subrosia
I think he meant alternate/parallel realms to the real/normal one.
Like the dark world, lorule, and the twilight realm.
Not simply any underground place.
Agreed, Goron City was great (I think most of the faction towns/bases were in OOT). Nothing felt like it had the same scale as Subrosia in Seasons though, where working your way through it was necessary to advancing in the Overworld.
i wish we had bigger versions of all the oracle art
These games had some excellent dungeon tunes

>loved dimitri
>always got that fat shit moosh
Anyone would like for a remake of these games? Would also be the perfect opportunity to add the third installment which was never made.
>Dat Dancing Dragon track
I get some pretty heavy Mega Man vibes from Skull Dungeon too
Jesus christ, another one?
All you had to do was buy the flute, dumbass.
"smells like medicine"
What the hell does that even mean?
If they did a remake, they would just combine both games into one.
Loved Tarm ruins. Probably because of the music and how sad the whole area felt.
>want to get the games for my 3ds
>keep postponing it out of hope that nintendo will finally get the virtual console onto the switch
Oh how I hope that the online subscription bullshit and or the classic mini consoles haven't screwed over my chances of virtual console games on the Switch.
That I will be able to purchase and have, and not rent.
So subrosia is an underground world right? But exacly how deep in the earth is it? sometimes feels likes is in the core of the planet and other times like with the pirate ship if feels like is below
a tiny layer of earth.
Now I'm curious which companion people perfer.
sure. and certainly would not mind a third Farore game.
still. doubt it will happen.
if anything. they will try to remake LA first
As much as I'd love a remake, it'd probably just end up using ALBW's shittier art style. Nintendo pulled the exact same shit with the Mario & Luigi remake (was pretty hyped for that, got bummed after I saw gameplay)
Nintendo doesn't make the Mario & Luigi games.
The south sea in Ages.
Racing against maple was always fun
Until a heart piece or something equally valuable landed in a spot you couldn't reach.
Dunno. You take a portal there. It's probably not core level. Just a pocket of sub-earth that's got magma and whatnot flowing through.
I'm ok with that. As much as I love Oracles, LA is one of my favorite plotlines in the entire series.
You can always try to play them on an emulator
Is there any game similar to the oracles or LA on pc? Anondyne was mechanically ok but thematically kinda shit
Ittle Dew was better and some of those puzzles were hard as fuck, pity it was so short and didn't have much combat
Good point, I forgot about that. If they ever did remake Oracles, I suppose they'd likely outsource those as well (having Capcom do them would be ideal but seems unlikely)
Lynna Village's tune reminds me a bit of something you'd hear in a Dragon Quest game for some reason.
And what if they offloaded a remake to incapable hands?
I could and I have. I have the physical copies of the games too to be honest.
But I'd just really like them on something better, but still portable.
Same, I'd always revisit even tho there's not much to do after getting your gear back.
What are the people behind Oracles and Minish even doing these days?
They're no longer at Capcom are they? Are they still in the industry at all?
Spots like Tarm Ruins have so much potential from a lore perspective, it's a shame nintendo doesn't want to go to the trouble of fleshing out/revisiting. Wouldn't need to be substantial, could even be an in-game mention (like you see in Elder Scrolls). I suppose the timeline split made things pretty hard to deal with without creating canon clusterfucks.
When I first played I liked Dimitri since he was like a dinosaur but I think I prefer Ricky now

Lovely maple and her music
wish she had a bigger role like in the manga
Not really? Most of what you'll find is going to be roguelikes with random generation. There was that Lenna's Inception game that was basically a 2D Zelda clone. No idea if that ever got a release or what though.
I honestly don't even know who they are.
The subsidiary company of Capcom that worked on the game, Flagship, was shut down years ago. And apparently most of the Capcom staff that worked on those games moved into Nintendo.
Would you be behind another pair of Zeldas if the linking was as intricate and the games as nice as The Oracles?
I'm making one that's pretty far along but I don't like shilling in these threads unless people really want to know about it
Both link's awakening and the oracle game are good candidates for a remake.
fine with either even if i do prefer the oracle games
Of course! I'm kinda surprised it never happened too. I mean, it'd be a great way to make profit, and if it was good like the Oracle games, then why not? Would be maximum comfy. I like that the Oracle games were always set-up like normal Zeldas, but still were different with new characters and settings.
Quality image. That game was one of the weirdest mainline titles and probably the reason I still love it so much to this day.
I always like the Tokay island in the past. I know people hated the trading segment but I always liked it, felt like a mini dungeon
I always wondered how the fuck Link made it back to land after the ending
Different user but are there any other zelda clones released or in development you know about?
...
Link does have some pretty sick moves there.
He didn't
I'm working on one, there's a demo on my blog
spacedoggames.tumblr.com
What'd you name the kid?
it's weirdness and ending certainly give it a different feel
probably some divine help
So the wind fish just left him there? What a prick
Wait whos the green one? I only remember 2 games not 3.
>And apparently most of the Capcom staff that worked on those games moved into Nintendo.
Sweet.
>Nice tits in a tight cocktail dress
Yes this pleases my dick.
That's always been my interpretation, but the fact that the game doesn't tell you is what makes it perfect. Really gives the game an Empire Strikes Back sorta conclusion.
Why has there been daily oracle threads, are the remaking it or something?
Din btw.
Poo. He ended up being pretty robot-like desu.
You remember correctly. The third game got obliterated.
Is Din this stacked in actual nintendo art?
Well that sucks. Do we know what oracle was she?
Farore, Oracle of Secrets. You can find her inside the Maku Tree in either game
I really love both Ages and Seasons.
But Seasons really did have the better opening act. The festivities were just so jolly, and when things got wrecked I felt more motivated to set things right than in the beginning of Ages.
You can actually find her inside the Maku Tree. She calls herself the Oracle of Secrets. Kind of obvious, but she's the one who manages your secrets between linked games.
...
I wonder what Oracle she was going to be before she got shafted into being a book keeper.
Nice, I was too young when I played those games but fuck too bad they killed her game.
Agreed user. Though they're both pretty terrific openings.
Cool. I know just about nothing about your game. But good luck.
I don't think you ever see that troupe again after that opening? Maybe for the ending? I dont remember.
Nah.
Looks pretty sweet dude, best of luck to you
official art Din
Pretty sure they were all banished to the shadow realm.
This shit is bringing me back
I really liked Ralph as a pseudo-rival to Link
I liked Seasons more but Veran was sexy as all get out
He was an idiot.
youtube.com
It would be cool if he showed in a future game, even as a cameo
I doubt it would happen though.
reminds me of spending my summer days playing this shit on the trampoline outside all day long
Jesus fucking christ, he looks worse than I remember.
...
Frost dev?
I loved him but replaying the games recently kind of made me realize he's not that great of a character. Fine for a zelda side character but he didn't live up to what I remembered from playing the game as a kid
He always reminded me of the guy chasing Suicine in Pokemon Crystal. Both get shafted by the main character pretty hard.
