>see air drop
>guarded by 3 humans
>decide to test out new weapon on them
>windmill attack them with my saw axe to the head 9 times
>they dont die and keep getting hits on me
>have to use medkits
>run out of combat stamina and use gun
>draws zombies
>now have to deal with zombies and human enemies
>none of them ever die
>they're indestructible despite me slicing them in the head with a huge axe many times
>finally kill them all and have no medkits for the mission I was headed to before I got sidetracked
why is it so hard to have fun in this game?
See air drop
Bow and arrow. Arrows can be retrieved and you can pick off excess in the group you don't need for testing. Also learn to sneak.
>>windmill attack them with my saw axe to the head 9 times
The problem is you keep doing the same thing over and over. Mix up your attacks and maybe craft some better weapons.
What you encountered was everything that's bad with
>randomized loot drops
>crafting system
>"rpg elements"
Take the "fun elements" out, smash them with a hammer and repackage them as food for retards. That being said the leveling system in Dying Light actually serves a purpose, holy shit that's rare nowadays.
Don't be shit maybe? Even on max difficulty nothing tanks like that beyond the first few shitty levels with crap weapons.
Objectively the only bad mechanic in the game is weapon durability.
Not to mention losing a shit ton of exp points each time you die.
Just stop dying
>not just throwing all your super weapons at their heads
>Have to kill both the human enemies AND the zombies
What, do they not kill each other?
Well, that's an unforgivable flaw for a zombie game, thanks for warning me!
>What, do they not kill each other?
They do
>Mix up your attacks
And that'll do more damage... how exactly?
OP's problem was the enemies weren't dying.
>using two handed weapons in this game when single handed weapons are superior.
Of course they kill each other. OP's issue is he thinks he has to do everything right then and there instead of considering a more strategic approach, or ignoring it altogether.
Aim better, humans die in one headshot with any weapon. If you want to kill them without guns use alternative attacks on the faggots that keep parrying (the throw is your best option).
cool now im in an arena with all my weapons taken from me besides a knife facing 6 guys
>not just running around baseball batting motherfuckers with EXPCaliber
even when it breaks it still flings motherfuckers if you heavy swing with it. unless they fixed that.
Get the gundam head stomping skills you bastard. Level combat until 12 or 13 for that and voila, game got easier.
Do you even survival skills bro?
I love Dead Island despite it flaws. Will i like this one? Same developer right?
this gmae is fucking broken in every aspect god damn I hope I am not the only one that thinks this
I fucking love dying light. Easily the best zombie survival game. The devs are based as fuck and still giving it content.
I was getting a little pissed off though with the be the zombie invasions. Invaders would just spam slam into tackle or spit then instantly tackle me so I'm locked into the vault animation. Not sure how to counter that. I think i thought up a way before. How muc damage does throwing your weapon do? Can you grapple the guy after he charges? Or is the best way just to shoot the guy with a gun.
Dying light is literally "Dead Island but without Deep Silver fucking with the devs "creative freedom"
>Throw one molotov on the 3 humans
>They all die fairly quickly
Wow that sure was tough
they barely even flail around or make a peep because this game fucking sucks
You're the only one who thinks this.
Cool, gonna buy the GOTY edition now. Mite b gud.
Have fun user. Dying Light is easily one of my favorite zombie games.
>mfw cutting a human in half vertically with a sneak attack
How? I thought sneak attack only snap the neck like Zodd snapped neck?
This game is easy as fuck lol. The only hard part is night time the first few times then you level up and get better weapons. Btw your weapons can break and be useful so you have to be able to use your eyes and look.
Play the game with a trainer after you beat it
It's a whole fucking new game and it's amazing
Who the hell need weapons in this game? Gun, molotov and your Isaac Clarke head stomping foot is all you need.
The game can be fucking brutal even during the day if you play on nightmare. regular biters deal like, 50 points of damage if they hit you and if you encounter a runner there's always like, at least 3 of them. Until you get the bow you're going to be going through medkits like candy.
Never tried that mode before. I'll probably anxiously run if i get invaded. Is it fun to be a volatile?
I loved when i got the grappling hook and max level then started maxing out punching damage
Punching? You piqued my interests. Just started the game.
You have to stick and move brother, you gotta always stay moving and use your environment
>reee why can't i oneshot everybody
have you considered lowering the difficulty level?
also
>game built around mobility and running from threats
>refuse to run and just get into every fight possible like a retard
>he doesnt know how to grapple
>he doesnt know how to melee
>he doesnt know how to molotov
>he doesnt know how to stun
etc etc etc
I played on nightmare with mostly just melee and I actually had to grind levels mid game just to keep up the same level of difficulty because I was 1 shotting people.
I think i had to get to like lvl 50 legendary before enemies were nightmare difficult again cause the game is soooo easy.
You just dont understand the combo system and youre just flailing around.
It's been awhile since I played it but I used some flaming sword, so it might not have been a "stealth attack" but I was sneaking through a building and stayed hidden after it.
Now I'm missing this game, its a shame you get so OP at the end.
When you reach max level (25 I think?) you get to level up specific things like firearm damage plus 30 percent, bow and arrow damage 30 percent etc
The be the zombie mode if fucking insane. You're like if all the left for dead special zombies combined into one super zombie. You even get your own skill tree and level up through playing.
You onyl get invaded if you toggle it on. Even even then you can toggle it to be once a night, once every three nights, or toggle the quest itself and it will FORCE nighttime so invasions happen faster and more often. You get rewarded though if you win and durability/stamina both get disabled during an invasion so you gain exp like crazy.
Never stop moving. You stop and you're dead. Nightmare difficulty is based as fuck.
Found the cuck
Ahh, i misread that, I thought you have punching skills in this game. Pretty rad if it is exist.
Oh shoot that is rad, pleb question do i still get invaded if i don't have ps plus?
I know i know ps4 version ughh
Yeah true, being OP kinda kill the fun a bit. But head stomping never get tired to be honest.
I'm on pc so I'm not sure but i assume if you don't have ps+ you can't get invaded. ps+ is tied to online, right?
I don't wanna sound like I'm advocating for ps+ but the invasions are really good.
Aww man, it's fine, im about to top up too for Monster Hunter beta.
Nice. I can't wait for mon hun. I fucking love that game. Going to have to sit here all mopey while you guys get to play it for a few months.
>throw sledgehammer at bandit
>he fucking parries it with a kitchen knife
>Kill brooding mutant goon.
>get that slab of concrete weapon
>proceed to pancake smash every zombie followed with head stomp.
Still fuck durability. I want my slab to stay forever dammit.
holy shit you are bad.
Think THAT'S ridiculous?
>Playing Dark Souls 3.
>Get invaded.
>Guy has a zweihander.
>Attacks.
>I parry it.
>With my bare fist.
I have had massive trouble with every single second of the game so probably yes
This game is pretty frustrating to be honest, atleast early on. Once you get modded machettes and swords, it works pretty out alot better.
i just cleared the part where jade dies and the frustration hasn't stopped
Jade Aldemir does things to my heart. And now my heart cries because she's dead.
You can spec into unarmed damage but aside from the stealth attack there aren't any new moves you can learn. It's also done once everything else is levelled so you can't really do it on your first go. But maxed out your punches will do x350 the damage they normally would
