Realistically, how long will PC bros have to wait?

too long ;-;

Somewhere in between a month and a year

if anyone is familiar with how Capcom releases info on monster Hunter, it'll be a year, and they won't give a solid answer until a week before official launch. their marketing team seems to hate the fans.

They said early to mid 2018 IIRC

I've been very tempted to pick up a used PS4 purely for this, but I can wait, barely, it's always hardest when the game launches

source

WHAT THE FUCK DOI PLAY WHIEL IW AT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

PC World beta's article says Early to Mid 2018 for PC release. Not sure where did they pull those dates

if they give a set date people will think "okay I only have to wait 6 months" or "I only have to wait one year"
the idea is to keep people uncertain so they'll end up buying both

...

Hopefully it's cancelled. Then you and nintenkiddos can cry about it until the end of time

their marketing team is fucking incompetent. Monster Hunter should already be huge in the west but they keep fucking it up

have you seen the beta threads? it can't be as popular as it is in japan because people have shit taste and are retarded

>it's not free
>it will be in 2018
What took them so long?

I really don't care about this game, like at all, I had my fill of grind many years ago.

>MHW meets sales expectations
maybe 4-6 months or something
>MHW doesn't meet sales expectations
1 year+, just look at RE7's DLC that was supposed to come out in fucking spring

>the idea is to keep people uncertain so they'll end up buying both

People actually do this in the real world? I was always under the impression that PC versions were delayed precisely because the platform is simply nowhere near as robust as consoles, as the vast majority of consumers buy games on consoles. Only the weirdos who have a console and a PC will be the ones buying a game.

Im sure they want people to double dip so PC release will be one year later

One year later because maximum double dip potential

They said the PC version is delayed currently because of manpower and resources. So I would guess after the release of the console version, they'd devote all people to PC.

>steam has the highest amount of concurrent users
>PC is the largest market
>nowhere near as robust as consoles
kek

No specifics yet but it's gonna be a bit. Honestly not even mad about waiting the performance is fucking terrible on my base PS4 in the beta and I've heard the pro is not much better. Gonna wait for digitalfoundrys video after launch to see if they fix the performance problems at all to decide whether I double dip or not.

this is the right answer.

no, I don't think it's an attempt at a double dip. that's kinda dumb and is kind of tinfoil-y. you really think they are banking on something like that? it's the equivalent to spending thousands of dollars to save a few cents. I'm starting to think it's malice or straight up incompetence desu.

you know it's some moron on the marketing team saying, "keep them in the dark, let's not give them a time frame, estimates or any info then when we give them info, it'll be really hype"

and you know what, I'm frankly surprised they even mentioned it was coming to PC in the first place. maybe the let an intern take a crack at it.

How do I use the grappling hook? I didn't use it once besides climbing up vines by pressing X.

play MHP3U on PPSSPP online like the rest of us

online's been picking up lately

RE6 didn't meet sales expectations and its PC port took 4-6 months or something

Gonna do some rathalos and diabolos for a few hours. 8nRWcuQPusx

At least until next fall. They have basically said they have barely worked on it, so expect at least 8 months if they rush it.

Just killed Diablos and Rathalos with a hammer.

God damn is the hammer cool. But I still don't understand the whole charge mechanic, in advanced tips, it says by using it I can stop being staggered by the Monster, but it never works.

No, it's a tried and true tactic mostly championed by Squeenix.

Console players get the game on time, and then PC users salivate over something they can't play yet, which drives hype
They either sit and fume about not having the game or their hype pushes them to rush out and get the console + game (ma0ybe there are kickbacks going on here from Sony as incentive to drive sales of more consoles)

then they release the PC version and those same people who couldn't keep it in their pants buy the game again. You turn one sale into two

>robust

Yet multiplayer games die faster than a baby in the middle ages, leaving servers empty in less than a month.

Btw, is someone here at least a bit perplexed as I am for the lack of steam logos on pretty much every trailer?
Either they don't have anything to market yet, or no distribution outlets for pc.

There's no pc mention because they probably haven't even start working on it.

>Btw, is someone here at least a bit perplexed as I am for the lack of steam logos on pretty much every trailer?
sony did the same thing with nier automata why would they want to advertise another platform

That’s really not accurate. The only games I’ve ever found that to be true in are fighting games and they frequently die fast on consoles too

Ok? So why are you posting in this thread?

Yes they have.

I won't say laying out the basic ground work working, I fully expect it to come out 2019 or Q4 2018 but I'll be happy if they prove me wrong.

Fps suffer too, excepting behemoths like overwatch or call of duty.
Mmos can't even try to exist nowadays.
Strategy games are also wastelands nowadays.

Yet xbox is listed in ps4 trailers

I'd play it if they have more imaginative monsters, better looking armors and characters that doesn't look like shit. Dauntless is going to die when MHW comes out. It needs to improve drastically in design(monster & armor), aesthetics(character face) and gameplay(it's too barebones right now).

here's your (you)
Thank you for playing

Sure that has anything to do with PC gamers and not everything to do with the stagnation of those types of games in general?
