Lawbreakers didnt really bring anything new to the table gameplay-wise
Artstyle and character design is pretty shit, because, no cliff, making your women black and ugly doesnt make them "unique"
Cliffy-B genius marketing made sure to use his big name on twitter as a political soapbox and highlight that his game have gender neutral bathrooms

So TLDR : It was gonna be a hard uphill battle
either way, and a few crucial fuckup just dragged it 6 feet under

And I could go on but this is just some of the few core stuff that I feel that they fucked up on. Really though the gameplay is self is alright but you really can't be surprised at the fact on how a game like this did not sell.

This game is no more, it has ceased to be, its a stiff, it rests in peace, its demised, its passed on, if there was physical copies it would be pushing up the daisys.

That and the fact that people looking for "hardcore" FPS games already have three dozen cheaper options. but "the game failed because the characters are ugly and Cliffy B tweeted about gender neutral bathrooms" is pithier and makes way, way better shitpost fuel than market saturation.

Looking at the older streams on his twitch, he announced the giveaway last week, and only started playing the game bloody 2 weeks ago. How did he even get hooked on it, i don't know. Imagining Cliffy B actually using people like this to try and market the game is horribly sad and pathetic.
