Defense Grid: The Awakening
I still haven't beat some of the expansion maps.
bloons
>yfw Dungeon Defenders 2
Gem TD, Protector and Kingdom rush were always my favorite. And bunch of war3 maps like youtd, gemcraft and legion.
Legion TD got a standalone version right? I wonder if people are playing it.
DD is a mix of hero defense and tower defense
Even in the endgame the mage who's like all in on the towers can't keep it up if he won't start killing stuff himself
GemTD is my all time favorite. It's the one where you need to build your own maze.
The other ""GemTD"" which is actually called ElementsTD I believe is also pretty decent, although tedious
Starcraft and warcraft 3 are where the true tower defence kino hides. Gemcraft is great and so is bloons 5.
I thought kingdom rush was okay but very shallow.
Defense Grid
Kingdom Rush series
and all the WC3 custom maps back in 2002, good luck playing those though
>Kingdom Rush series
there are more?
there's like 3 of them on android and all high quality, not sure what other platforms they might be on. check the dev page:
Where my Ninja Town bros at?
>Legion Td
>Tech Wars 2
>Desert Strike Hots
Dota2 has some really nice reworks of good wc3 td maps
i remember having to draw out pathing with mspaint on the final level of the base game, just to try and figure out how to beat it
was so satisfying
cursed treasure 2
REST IN PIIIIIIIIECES
pic related
That game and it's sequel are really good
How come this fag has responses? I tried making a tower defense thread and get suggestions a couple months ago and nobody gave a fuck.
what were they thinking
get rekt nerd
i hate you
Plants vs Zombies, if that counts
Sanctum TD
both of them
They are billions has some characteristics of a tower defende.
creeper world
Maybe your OP was boring
Maybe your pic wasn't eye catching
Maybe you posted during a lull of activity
Maybe you got drowned out by too much activity
Maybe you're just unlucky
Are there any good tower defence games on DS/3DS?
Kingdom rush is the best. I like that almost every map has some shtick like a giant yeti or unique dwarf barracks + towers + hero.
Game went to shit after the monthly dlc thing and with niggers running challenges like a bunch of monkeys to sell endgame gear. Only playable with friends now
Sanctum had a decent idea but is so bland and gets boring really fast
I've always found TD's interesting but I just can't seem to get into liking them.
Hows the Legion TD stand alone thing they put on steam recently? I know it's still early ass but I want to know
I used to play a shit ton of the Legion TD in Starcraft 2
Theres a remake map of it on dota 2, pretty sure its played by a decent amount of people
Orcs must die 2 is tons of fun played with a firend
this this this
the first game is good too. both top tier as hell
As everyone else has stated, WC3 maps are great.
>Wintermaul (the original, Wars, One, etc.)
>Green TD, Green Circle TD, Blue TD, etc.
>Legion TD
>Poker TD/Gem TD/similar variants
>Video Game Maul
>Pokemaul
>Pokemon Defense
>You TD
>Element TD
>Liquid TD
>Megaman Maul
>Skibi's Castle
>Nintendo/DBZ TD
And probably more I'm forgetting.
Last time I checked it didn't have prophet mode in the planned release update, so I'd assume it's utter shit. That's the only worthwhile mode.
Can you remind me what prophet mode was again?
It's been a while
>mauls
>good
top kek
t. Gray
Prophet means that the everyone has the same race as the host. Technically this translates to that every host always picks that one random race where you have all tier towers randomized and you have 5xrerolls, which cost increases exponentially while first being free.
>tfw I only ever played that shitty monkey tower defense game
>tfw build so much of the strongest AoE buildings against a ridiculous amounts of ballons that this shitty flash game makes my gayman PC freeze and stutter like crazy
How's unchained? I played it for a while and the more difficult maps seem pretty much impossible to solo unless you have the good characters and full upgrades.
desktop tower defense is my pick since no one else said it yet
He started with an actually good TD game
Played it for a month or so with a friend but we gave up after that that grind for the traps and heroes it's offputting in a game like this.
My favorites from childhood were Desktop Tower Defense, Gemcraft, and Protector. never got very far in protector though kek
the final boss is bullshit.
also i wish it was longer.
A different sort of TD that really took me by surprise is Creeper World 3, which was recommended to me by someone in a thread like this. It costs real human dollars, but you can pick it up on a sale for less than $5.
The premise of the game is incredibly simple, but the gameplay is strategic and actually rewards creative strategy and does not punish you for focusing on strategies you are already fond of. There aren't any "do it this one way if you ever want to win" missions, except for the tutorial I think.
For the gameplay itself, the "enemies" are spawning points for an ooze that slowly pools outwards. Weapons stem the tide, until you can push back enough to contain the ooze. If it touches your buildings, they die. You manage economy in the meanwhile, trying to build up enough power to supply your towers (going negative reduces rate of fire, IE gg no re).
Also, shit loads of content. Like why the hell is there so much content. I beat the game, don't tell me the "game" was only 20% of the available content.
What does the paid version do better than the free flash versions?
Don't blow money on this until you've played the older, free versions
I don't know, tbqh. I've only played this one. On a guess, probably the sheer content. After the 15-20 hour campaign, there's hundreds more missions in another hubworld, then a challenge hubworld with a few hundred more there that you compete with player's online.
