Attack ain't free.

Rampart
I'm a huge faggot for grand elves.

all of them you retard

>Attack

...

undead

All of them, but only HoMM 1 and 2. Don't really care for 3.

>Playing the niggers of HOMM3

3 was the best HOMM by far though

That shit art style and those ugly prerendered sprites push me away. Also can't tell where anything is in towns because everything blends together.

Every one of them.

t. capitolfags

Dis

Whath the fuck are you 90yo or something? Get newer nostalgia goggles, while i can agree with obvious loss of unique design in the 3rd game, from graphical perspective homm3 is the comfiest.

...

Tower were OP and you were definitely "that guy" of your group if you played them

I think I've developed a new fetish.

I played Tower when I was a child, now I realize Stronghold makes more sense.

I might've been the only one to play Conflux.

This. They're all cool, even conflux.

No-one else liked Dungeon? Scorpicores were cool as fuck

Fortress, the theme is beautiful and those swamp motherfuckers ain't too bad

Always felt like all their units were underwhelming, nothing garbage-tier but at the same time nothing top-tier.
And they had the worst music theme.

>Tower OP
>When Necropolis, Conflux and Dungeon exist
If you think Tower is OP your're a scrub

Dungeon ranged master race represent.

Even black dragons?

Worse than archangels(better stats and special effects) and phoenixes(faster than azures and 2(!) base growth), arguably worse than titans(lmao ranged tier 7 also can be buffed).
Black dragons are good, but not top tier.

dungeon mostly, but castle and tower were close seconds. always the hero with logistics to start out with in dungeon.

making maps was so much goddamn fun.

Dungeons strength isnt just there units. Mana vortex and artifact merchant are really good for late game and they have 3 ranged attackers if you count harpies for early game.
Minotaur kings haul ass as well

I played Rampart/Fortress because of armorer spec heroes or diplomacy. Neco is too ez mode.

Dungeon is by far my favorite. Great faction if you want to have fun with magic and still have good units (except troglodytes, fuck their weak asses).

>favorite town gets BTFO in the intro

youtube.com/watch?v=eulf9pX59Wg

Best music though

My favourite units were always ranged attackers. Liches especially.

Fortress master race.

Conflux fags need not apply.

...

...

wizards were, and will always be, the literal master race

...

...

when I want to win I play castle or rampart

I hate big maps so I never touch dungeon or tower

which hero you use as your main is more important than your town, since you can use most unit combinations well enough to beat a superior force

Is this a mod?

Honestly HoMM 3 feels a bit old today, i played it a lot and got bored eventually of all factions.
Still my favourite game in the series and a must-install in my computer.

It's the slavs fave mod, Horn of the Abyss.

Tower, every time. Spells 'n shit.

rampart

>when I want to win I play castle or rampart
>which hero you use as your main is more important than your town
That's wrong on multiple levels. Necropolis and Conflux are stupidly overpowered. No matter what hero you have you won't win win against a moderately competent player who chose Conflux or Necro on any competetitive map.

youtube.com/watch?v=d2_XibBJHO8

necro is late game, its strong but not suited for small maps, the early units, including skeletons in small quantities, are awful without powerful spells

conflux I just don't like, its ugly and doesn't have interesting units

Humans or swamp people

Dungeon

>its ugly'
The fuck? It's by far the most beautiful town architecture and color-wise.

Dungeon. Turning them into dark elves was fucking lame.

Damn that's ridiculous

t. mustafa özdemir

Looks like a mudslime city

maybe if it had roads

Necro/Conflux/Tower

It looks like a childs theme park. It doesn't look even remotely like a city of any sort.

>Tower were OP
Yeah only if you are a rich nigga. 99% of the time you aren't.

>Speciality: gold

fucking lmao

As long it's not Inferno anything goes. Random map, random hero and making best of it.

it varied quite a lot, mostly dungeon and rampart, with a bit of castle and tower thrown in

that's one of the most useful specialties especially on high difficulty levels.

uhm... dungeon master

>those spearmen
why

Dungeon :^)

>Making maps was gooddamn fun
and easy too. I remember my 12 year old self recreating Warlords Battlecry 3's map and campaign in HoMM 3 map editor.

>all these people saying dungeon
i never knew Sup Forums had such shit taste

13*

Fortress or Inferno. Fortress has a GOAT theme and aesthetics and units and everything. Inferno because I like underdogs. Conflux a shit but everyone would agree with this. My least favorite vanilla town got to be Dungeon, I never liked them as a kid because I didn't like underground maps and thry are pretty expensive to build up. Still not a huge fan.

Any HoMM game worth playing after 3? I remember getting 4 as a kid and hating it.

>patrician taste
Dungeon/Fortress

>above average taste
Inferno

>good taste
Tower

>okay taste
Stronghold

>meh taste
Rampart

>no endgame taste
Castle

>meme taste
Necropolis

>banned at tournaments taste
Conflux

This list is the truth.

youtube.com/watch?v=hPYr-m58Yeo

>Fortress
So try to win within the first month or die?

I played with Castle since I believed that since they were humans they were the good guys. Also I believed that Inferno were the bad guys altough replaying their campaign years ago I came to notice they're actually like some kind of alien force, ren't they? real bad guys are dungeon.

I didn't understand English enough back in the day, but games unironically helped me to learn it

>I like underdogs
heh

Dungeon has the coolest units

>I didn't understand English enough back in the day, but games unironically helped me to learn it
iktf

I see you are among the cool kids

Same

5 is with TOTE-Tribes of the East.
ignore the others.

>Kreegans being underdogs
Apex kek.

Kreegans are regular alien race. Play Might and Magic VI and VII. And while at it, give a shot to M&M VIII as well.

wonder how many years of sex abstinence takes to reach last stage.

You'll make more more by converting 4 chests to gold instead of xp then you'll make over the course of the entire fucking game and you could have a real specialty instead of something as worthless as gold since it doesn't scale with level unlike literally every other one.

Gameplay wise they definitely are.

5 is great, especially modded. 5.5 rivals 3 in my opinion.

>I like underdogs
>faction has literal underdogs
the joke

You mean how the whole campaign is centered about the defense of the world against their mighty invasion?

How do I get good at the game?
I always used to just get as many and as powerful units as I could fast and then just destroy things with sheer force.
Also dungeon was fave.

So the best game to play in this series is 3 right?

Fortress all day erry day

Yes, the series peaked with 3 then went downhill

How long should a game typically take? I just started playing and picked an easy scenario (where you play as OP's faction and have to kill the faeries) but I feel like I'm taking way longer than I should be.

3 and 5 with expansions are equal in my eyes. They are top notch strategy games and the fun multiples with multiplayer with friends. 5 being first 3d HoMM is a bit heavier and computer turns take a long time without a mod. Also some players don't like the WoW-look of the units.

>needing a scaling specialty
>on a side hero

5 has incredibly shit interface and very few maps.

say I want to hypothetically make a HoMM clone one day. what should I know in order to make it good

He said gameplay, not plot.
