Wasn’t a survival game like it was advertised to be
downgrades
shitty mechanics
Forced pvp
False advertising
having to line up to use the damn pc.
Except now there is survival mode.
I played for 10 hours with a friend in co-op over the span of a few days then uninstalled it.
Here's why its shit.
>Bullet sponge enemies
>Guns feel shit
>Shit movement/cover system
>Missions are boring as fuck
>Day/night cycles are client side, so night for me while my friend was in the day
>hackers fucking everywhere
>PVP is utter shit
>Can't trade weapons/items for no fucking reason
>Story is non-existent and what is there is shit
>Poorly optimized, would sometimes drop to 45 frames
>No real reason to free roam around and not do missions, world is boring and stale
I could go on, its just a very "Ubisoft" game if you get my meaning. Very very barebones.
lies and deception.
Nothing to do once you finish the story, they added cosmetics recently that look like boring shit.
Add fireman outfits, medics, all kinds of wierd shit. This is a game.
But it also runs to much like a mmo.
last game i was really hyped for and it turned out so shit, ended up playing the beta and dropping it before launch.
>broke sales records
>sold more than any japanese game ever will
>graphics so good japan will only produce this level of detail maybe in 2050
>best of its genre
>as final nail Ubi btfod Sup Forums once again
>hehe let's copy paste the game 10 times over and call the "new content" DARK ZONES, so epic man haha nice idea
literally everything
world detail will not be matched until next-gen which will be only done by Ubi again and they will barely use it again
this
>create the most detailed and amazing map in videogames
>use like 10% of it
wasted potential
why put this much effort into a map if you wont use it
>Make a massive, highly detailed map
>Highly detailed streets
>Highly detailed buildings
>That's it. Enjoy your 14th firefight against bulletsponge enemies this hour.
>BUT HEY MAYBE YOU'LL GET SOME EPIC GEAR
It hurts.
Ubishit
Just adding on to the lack of fun content and interesting mechanics,
stuff like this youtube.com
Everything about it was lie
>False advertising
>Bad mechanics
>Uplay bugs
>Hackers everywhere
>Literally no end game on release
>Once you hit max level you were done
>Buggy and glitched AI
>Waiting in line to turn in things
>Couldn't walk through players
>People would form walls in doorways
>Trapping everyone inside buildings
>No trading, not even with your friends unless its on a mission you completed together and it has to be within 30 minutes
>PVP is meh and full of third worlders with a huge lag advantage
>Its also got a bunch of hackers
>These problems get worse the higher your dark zone ranking
>Anything below 230 gear score has no players and is dead
>PVE is repetitive as fuck
When people say it should've been a survival game, it means they wanted S.T.A.L.K.E.R. in new York city. Not a cheap borderlands clone with none of the interesting parts of borderlands
>playing this right now
I love them mindless diablo likes games.
Randylands 3 when.
This GE sucks dick and doesn't even work properly
>wasn’t a survival game
>except now there's some sort of survival gimmick
You could say the same thing for NMS having multiplayer
Lack of Endgame Content is the only true Answer.
I had a blast with the game until i realised that there is nothing to do in the end, except for Darkzone grinding.
>was downgraded after every trailer
>has shit gameplay
>has shit story
>”broke records”
>Bullet sponge enemies
well yea but what can you expect from a game that was advertised as rpg with guns
>Guns feel shit
dont know about pc but on console they arent terrible and since its not so easy to compensate for recoil as on pc you actually have to take some consideration into modding that aspect of certain guns to make them more viable, kinda fun to tweak
>Shit movement/cover system
meh, not bad but nothing out of the ordinary, surely nothing to bitch about
>Missions are boring as fuck
if you play it first time and on top of that have coop company like friends its quite nice, just dont fucking expect 'epic' journey like holywood movies with one man army shit, and later in game when you are supposed to grind them for rewards?ofcourse they will gate stale, just like any mmo if it even can be called that, thats why they integrate other activities progressively
>Day/night cycles are client side, so night for me while my friend was in the day
didnt know that one, kinda sucks
>hackers fucking everywhere
maybe on pc. It had terrible glitches at start that many people abused on consoles, now not so much i think
>PVP is utter shit
in DZ mostly, since there is majority of core players who are maxed and just look for wimps, in Skirmish its actually fun, granted you have to get competent team on both sides
>Can't trade weapons/items for no fucking reason
you cant with random people, but you are able when it drops in any 4ppl activity with those people, reasonable given the fact that this game endgame is based on minmaxing and broad trading would simply eliminate need to participate in anything, plus there is no viable currency on its own besides weapons/mods you could trade it for
>Story is non-existent and what is there is shit
like i said before its nothing groundbreaking, just a simple scenario of pox attack, it serves more as setting and background for everything you do in game
>boring gun play
>only one real boss at the end of the game
>lond cd on skills
>boring skills
>pointless and empty open world
>end game is locked behind dlc
They tried to focus on dumb competitive PvP and completely neglected PvE content until just recently. They forgot all about there being plot in the game and it turned into "Just go out and PvP" the moment you hit 30. They never patched in new skills or skill traits. Their idea of content longevity is to make all the best weapons be .001% drops on bosses unless theres a special event up.
I wanted a survival game, where you looted homes in the city, set up a base, and all that.
Its Third person Diablo with guns.
Its actually tragic how much they took from Diablo 3
Its mindless....not fun but mildly entertaining ATM, only level 15, can't wait to get to level 30 and do resistance, underground and survival.
It's better than destiny 2 so there's that.
single player campaign was great, better combat that wildlands had and when u find out red storm worked on it but not wildlands that makes the most sense
None of those are an argument.
>was downgraded after every trailer
>still looks better than 99% games on the market
really made me think
...
these points are all subjective you fucking faggot
1.8 fixed most of the problems people had with this game.
It was poorly marketed as a TPS and a not a number based RPG with TPS elements.
Most of the enemies aren't bullet sponge-y if you use a good weapon. The bosses, however, are literal bullet sponges and are really annoying to deal with.
For me it's worth just for the recreation of Christmas time New York.
Hacking, chinks, hacking chinks and shit balancing.
They should had gone full cheeky breeky simulator in NY
How does the survival mode works?
Ubisoft
Honestly, not enough PvE content. Most of the playerbase gave up on Dark Zones for various reasons and just wanted to co-op shit with friends but that wasn't in the dev's plans.
Also imo the Tom Clancy name should have never been slapped on it by Ubisoft. That way people wouldn't expect everything to have a short time to kill and they could have added horror elements.
Was hyped as shit seeing the first gameplay trailer, then the cgi trailer which was fuck all gritty n good, and then I actually played the game.
All I wanted to do was be a hero to npcs scattered around the city, fighting off bandits and rescuing people from psychos. Instead I’m a fancy feast street vendor who occasionally gets a new sweater that’s not even hand made from random wandering people, and occasionally I’ll find thumb drives filled with cringe their humor podcasts.
The sadness is so heavy it’s stifling brehs
Played it for the free weekend. Game sucked me in. I'm at 20 hours now and don't think I'll stop before 30. I can't tell you what it is about it I like, because I usually hate these Ubisoft style open world games. Maybe it's the MMO style item progression system and the base building thats tied to character progression. Plus the city itself. It's comfy. I like this game.
