>Fat cheerfull lady
>Wilhelmina

I'm angry.

Christ almighty.
LGBTQWTFLMAOBBQBTFO leader when?

Every leader in this game looks too damn cheerful.

jadwiga is the only good female leader in this game

>that change in audio when the narrator tries to pronounce the unique abilities
kek

full article here btw

So did she do anything significant in her carrier?
Oh right, she got btfo from her country in the manner of days.

I can't fucking believe firaxis

really??? Where are all the trans and vitiligo historical leaders already!?

Harvey Milk as leader of the United States when ?

Her connections with the German Kaiser and some goodwill she accumulated with the allies played a large part in keeping the Netherlands neutral in WW1.

Also while our military surrendered, technically our goverment (in exile) never did.

you must be so proud of your country

Do tell me where you’re from.

Netherlands, chekmate faggot

mijn broeder
Ik wou je al gaan roasten omdat ik dacht dat je een amerikaan was.

I love how they've made water tiles absolute cancer in Civ VI and now are attempting to fix it ass backwards by making broken civs that thrive completely uncontested on the coasts through unique improvement abuse.
Also the polder looks retarded.

OP here, kinda wondering what any Dutch anons feel about the choice. Was she an OK leader? Are there any other notable leaders aside from her and William (who they used already)? I'm not too versed in Dutch history, so from what I saw she looks ok, but I'm curious.

How dare you speak to me in such peasant language, klootzak

>not being bros with auckland

>wasting female slots
>when Margrethe 1. isn't even in yet

>mfw

>Are there any other notable leaders aside from her and William
Honestly, no. Wilhemina is a unironic solid choice.

>polders are back
nice
though i'm afraid the new tile restrictions will make it feel a lot less rewarding than finding those 10 swamp tiles on an unsettled continent

Why do they insists making every world leader morbidly obese? Pic related, what the queen actually looked like.

Wilhelmina is fine, she has a real impact on Dutch history. Johan De Wit would be a good choice. He would have even more of a focus on trade.

Canada with Kim Campbell when?

UGH more straight white men.
Another game made by white supremacists.

>Release William of Orange
>King of England
>The King who made England the No.1 Superpower
WEW LADDY BOI. This is as fucking retarded as Victoria for England when she was a British monarch. They should have done Henry VIII and Longbowmen.

The idea of picking her as leader is alright, the execution is horrible. She wasn't as fat to begin with. And she was a lot more regal and grim.

...

She was fat in WWII

>Canada
>not Elisabeth II

>making a reasonable leader choice

Come on son

Yeah, assuming Auckland spawns, you find it quickly and you get your 4+ envoys ignoring every other city state. Then you'll have a couple coastal tiles that are almost as good as a generic bit of plains with a forest or a hill on it.

>civ 12
>justin trudeau as civ
>special power, if you lose, you win

>not getting the fishing boats pantheon

I'd rather have them made her old as she was here. Making her fat as fuck is stupid.

So besides the DreamWorks style bullshit, how does Civ 6 stack up against Civ 5 + BNW at the moment? I've still been playing 5 and have been wondering if it's worth it to move on yet.

>running away so you don't have to admit defeat

Because there are no pantheons that boost land tiles.

It might be at the next expansion, the patches so far have done good work for the game and the expanded list of leaders always makes things more fun.

She's a good pick. They don't seem to want any repeats from Civ 5 and picking someone who's not William the Silent for the Netherlands is a tough one. Wilhelmina and William III are the obvious choices, but the latter is arguably more important for Britain than the Netherlands.

They fixed Korea, too. She doesn't look like a fat mexican any more.

They gave her a plastic surgery, very appropriate.

Interesting. I'm glad to see they went with a good choice at least. It seems almost every time a new leader gets announced there's some debate about it, but I'm glad this one's solid.

her fingers are still so fucked up looking

Kek

Hands look so horrid I had to count fingers to make sure it doesnt have any extras

...

Those polders look lovely

Artstyle is still too cartoony

youtube.com/watch?v=5Uf81Ikqnrw
Admit it, you'll miss that

Not really, the music in VI is the best in the series.

cute dutchs

Can't tell if underage or bait

Or someone with a different opinion, you colossal faggot.

All opinions besides mine are wrong.

Well your opinion sucks ass

Wilhelmina is actually a good leader choice though. A lot of the female ones are a stretch but this one is fine.

I hope they have some parts of that in Civ 6, or just go full anime with youtube.com/watch?v=45Ov1ARThJI&feature=youtu.be

Wikipedia historians incoming

Mongool

Civ 6 has had some questionable leaders and you could argue that the amount of women there isn't particularly representative, but I think they generally went with good and at least interesting choices. Now I just want a massive splurge of alternate leaders for each civ.

Civ V had some A-class war music
youtube.com/watch?v=U5oO6wBrp8s

I was thinking about the same. The worst choice I've seen was Gorgo, but overall I haven't had an issue with many of them.

god i just want them to release their theme

Chroateh Reeveerun

So, putting choices of leaders aside, what did Civ 6 do well, badly and how to improve?

Good:
>Sieges and capturing cities is easier
>Districts and managing space is good
>Traders building roads
>Not needing to hoard resources to build lots of units
>Support units help with warfare

Bad
>Roads are useless, just increase the effect they have on units and it's fine
>Add railroad in as something Builders can make
>Increase amount builders can build or make them unlimited
>Allow builders to aid in production in districts
>Naff quotes for techs/civics

>traders building roads is good

WE

The English one is hype.

I haven't picked it up yet since I was waiting for an expansion, but if there's anything I could say, I'd like them to bring back a revamped civic system. It made it feel like you were actually more in control when you could decide certain laws that had their own benefits and disadvantages. I know social policies were meant to replace them, but certainly they could co-exist somehow. I still haven't played VI, so I'm a little in the dark if they still use social policies.

You unlock them by passing techs, but you have a certain number of slots to fill with things like Rationalism to boost science. You can also unlock more systems of government like Monarchy to get more slots.

I thought you got funky loops like that from razing cities

She is probably the best leader for us if you´re not going for William of Orange and probably one of the few legit choices you have if you want a female leader in Civ
Shame that they made her cheerful, she should be stern and tough in a regal sense

>everything that make game piss easy
>good

absolute state of millennials gamers

I was gonna say that some A-class war music is not doing Civ V's soundtrack justice, but then you posted the best
The music really makes you want to burn everything of the enemy down
The Mongolian is a close second
youtube.com/watch?v=aHbXHIrpq6s

weak bait, old man

This implementation seems like a lot more fun though. It gives Holland some more incentive to go coastal which is good flavour, and there are some strategic implications to being able to create land.

honestly in Civ V the Dutch ability should have been one where they could turn coastal tiles into marshland, their actual one was fairly useless and desert cities being the best options for the dutch was kinda silly

Dutchfag here, Wilhelmina is a pretty decent choice. She was a major symbol of resistance during WW2 and there is an insane amount of streets, parks and schools named after her

I also love hearing her trying to pronounce "grote rivieren" and "de zeven provinciën"

I wish they used a different narrator. I mean fair play for her trying to not totally butcher the pronunciations, but she has a terrible voice.

Good:
>traders building roads is natural and organic, and makes establishing trade routes a strategic decision rather than hurrr let me get the most gold possible
>districts let you focus each city on what you want, as well as changing the game's city placing with...
>adjacency bonuses, both on districts and buildings, making city placing now an actual choice, as opposed to just building it where it'd reach the resources you need/want and that's it
>civis tree which works simmilar to the science tree
>policies and governments are flexible and fun
>workers with limited charges means wars and pillaging is way more dangerous and unwanted
>fishing ships gone means you can now improve water tiles inside the continent without having to build a city or a harbor there just for that
>in fact, harbors make building cities near the cost more flexible, you're not forced to build a city at the water's edge to be able to make ships

I can't go back to 5. 4 is a different game, but 5 is the worse version of 6.

I don't know why they slowed down unit movement by making entering rough terrain cost extra. Moving armies was tedious enough in V, it's even more of a hassle in VI.

What the fuck is up with the 3D modelling at Firaxis? Or Civ 6's really. Time and time again they've released shit models then have had to quietly fix them behind the scenes cause they are so fucking shit.

Who does that? Who approves this? Why do they keep fucking doing it?

Good
>Idea of having a culture tree
>Districts
>Religion is implemented much better
>Making Civs more unique from eachother
>Wonders on the map/movies are back
Bad
>Techtree/gamepace is way, way to fast
>Shit like canals/railways is missing
> Air combat is shit and AI never uses it
>Naval combat is shit, partly because AI never uses it and partly because you can't capture naval cities most of the time anymore
> AI in general, combat ai in particular
>DLC civs are OP as shit
>Not nearly enough units, 1500s era musketeers going directly to ww2 guys is fucking retarded
I think I got most of it.

her 3d model looks disgusting, make her an angry old lady like the pictures, if you're gonna push that PC agenda, at fucking least

And then the roads do barely anything to fix it once you do have them built until like Medieval/Renaissance

>you have received foreign AIDS

She doesn't look angry in either of those pictures and the second one isn't even particularly old.

Sit down Tangerine.

>traders building roads is natural and organic, and makes establishing trade routes a strategic decision rather than hurrr let me get the most gold possible
it really is not, building and controlling roads in 5 was a critical part of the game and sending fast troops to destroy your opponent's roads at critical points was a legitimate strategy

When the fuck are places besides Greece getting new leaders?

They said 8 new civs, 9 new leaders, so I guess at least one more, but no idea if it's a civ from the expansion or an existing one.

I read what you typed twice, and it still doesn't make trade routes brain dead in 5

>I want to take tens of turns just to build a farm, have to bum rush science constantly to not fall behind, and so on

She looks Mexican with slightly chinkier eyes now. If anything she looks more Indonesian or Polynesian than Korean. They didn't "fix" shit, she needs to be completely redone.

You gotta pay attention to your double negatives user.

Except he's 100% right, the biggest problem with civ v is that it was already piss easy and impossible to ever lose, first thing on your shitty list is that it's now even easier to capture cities. You're part of the problem.

shit, you're right, I meant "it still doesn't make trade routes not brain dead in 5"

> I mean fair play for her trying to not totally butcher the pronunciations
Ehm.

Who's decision was it to make every model in this game look worse than the models in Civ 5?
