Practically lying that you haven't listened to Game Theory and fan speculation doesn't make it Elder Scrolls.
And even Elder Scrolls can't be bothered to put it in the actual fucking game.
They're neat games but there was way too many of them and it got more and more ridiculous as time went on. Hopefully he truly ended it with 6.
You guys brainlets or something? FNAF 6 basically spells everything out for you
I AM THE CANDY CADET
COME GET YOUR CANDY HERE
I HAVE CANDY ALL DAY
EVERYDAY
CANDY
CANDY
CANDY
Prove it then faggot.
Don't discuss topics you are uneducated in
Well, is over, what now scott? desolate hope 2?
I find the lore really interesting.
Iv never played any.
A connecting monologue that requires 6 games of theorizing isn't "spells out" you genuine autist.
What the fuck would be the point if you could make the entire plot within the first game?
Sup Forums actually loved the first game
and then they got insecure about the fanbase and were too beta to enjoy things
It's literally for children
Don't listen to the memes. I was here when the first game came out and Sup Forums was in love with it. You'd see daily threads with lore speculation that would max out on top of people streaming it, for at least a couple months.
Then the activity had to be moved to /vg/ where all good things go to die, and the furfag crowd started tainting it, and then it started attracting a huge underage fanbase on par with Minecraft's. Had that have never happened, I don't think Sup Forums would hate it as much as they do now.
you're right i only play mature games for mature gamers such as myself
So just like all video games.
I liked it better when it was just about a shitty pizza restaurant that may or may not have been haunted. The more he tried to explain things and the more antagonists he tried to add, the dumber it got.
It's amazing how seeing the fat chicken's head randomly start twitching and shaking whenever you spot it staring at the camera in the first game is infinitely more creepy than the overdesigned characters he started introducing after that. Keeping things simple and vague really is better.
Are you new here? NEVER EVER listen to Sup Forums in anything.
I think the story in 1-3 was better than what we got in 4-6.
They got waaaaaay into too much portal territory with the latest entries. I still think 4 is the scariest
>There are people who actually literally believe that Five Nights at Freddy's is a good game with good lore
FUCKING KILL ME RIGHT HERE AND NOW, I REFUSE TO LIVE IN THE SAME UNIVERSE AS THESE FUCKING MONGOLOIDS
>Genuinely last time I listen to Sup Forums
Why did you even start?
>games
>scary
>Lore
It was nice nitpicking the little details in 1, then it really started to get fucking retarded with 2 and only got worse.
I don't blame Scott though, good on him for milking the ever loving shit out of the series.
>watch me play the fun scary game senpai
The 'wonky programming gone awry' angle is much better than the dead kid angle he went with. Fits much better with the dark humour 'work in a dead end, high-risk (because the company doesn't want to pay for power) job for minimum wage' from the first game too.
...
Blame the idiot who milked the series and mass merchandised it next to the kids toys.
>tee hee
honestly i never cared for the lore
i always just enjoyed the way you find it
not enough games have those kinds of secrets anymore
The dude was living in poverty, was suicidal and, unlike pieces of shit like Notch who take the laziest way out, he actually produces new content pretty consistently. Why shouldn't he be allowed to milk it if retarded parents are willing to buy it?
>Into portal territory
What does that even mean
What you are saying is you don't want to to have lore at all
Is the story actually that they shove kid bodies into the animatronics?
Are you telling me nobody would notice kids going missing at a Chuck-E-Cheese and the weird fleshy bits hanging off one of the singing robots?
This. Not to mention he made the most recent game free for literally no reason at all, and when he released one of the games he was less than proud of, he went back to update it to his standard and made it free too, giving out full refunds to people who bought it
You don't have to like the games to admit he's an okay guy.
>B-BUT HES STILL MAKING MONEY OFF OF MERCHANDISE
So is literally every other franchise, what is your point?
Yes that's what happened, but the locations shut down almost immediately
It's unironically the best horror franchise of the last decade
>memegames
so, how do they manage to walk at night?
My 4 year old and 6 year old are obsessed with this game.
They always had the tech to walk around during the day for children until a violent accident. Now they are programmed to only be able to walk around at night since there is no full standby mode.
so pressing a button to power them off is too hard huh, really a deep lore
The retarded shit with the bodies being in the robots was only made canon in the later games. In the first (best) one, it was just vaguely implied as having happened before in the past. The robots have a quirk in their programming that lets them walk around when they're in standby mode at night, and they're malfunctioning, old pieces of shit so they attack anyone they see on sight.
It's pretty stupid, but it works for what limited information was available at the time for the world. Now they're spooky haunted robots or something.
iirc they can't be turned off because it will damage the software.
Not quite. They can be turned off but their servers lock up and makes them nonfuctional if off too long
Assuming you're not just another lying faggot, why would anyone allow their kids to play games about a bunch of evil adults violently killing kids?
The voice acting kinda removed that "oppresiveness" that the places gave you, without mentioning the constant use of dark comedy (Although the first games had these, it wasn't used all the time) seemed goofy to me. Without mentioning that the further we go back in time the more techonologicly advanced everything seems to be.
I mean SL looks like it belongs on Star Trek.
Even in the first one they were pretty explicitly haunted, one of the camera feeds has a newspaper talking about the disappearances and they straight up hijack your phone with spook noises on the last night.
