That'd be decent. Yugioh suffers from a lack of formats.
Yes. I will literally never buy a YuGiOh game where the meta is Links, XYZ, and Synchros.
I just want a Yu-Gi-Oh game that plays like Pokemon. In the sense that you can walk around and challenge duelists in the open world and go from one town to the next defeating duelists. You earn money from defeating the duelists and spend them on packs to earn more cards. Also different towns would have different packs, and some duelists would reward you cards you can't obtain by packs.
Yu-Gi-Oh tag revolution had similar gameplay to this. But in tag revolution you could only go to like 5 areas and the story revolved around finding a tag partner to duel in a tag tournament with.
>earn money from defeating the duelists and spend them on packs to earn more cards.
I'd be okay with this as long as Konami's Jewery didn't make it so it's impossible to progress at a reasonable pace without paying real money for the cards.
It's "Xyz", not "XYZ".
Xyz is its own word.
XYZ is pic related.
I think one thing YuGiOh game devs never, ever think about is gamefeel. I hate how slow the literal play is. I'm not talking about solitaire in modern format, I'm talking about how fucking slow the cards physically move, the menus are, the animations take, all that shit. YGO Dev Pro is the only YuGiOh game that mechanically feels good.
>Implying Konami will ever put any effort in ever making a yugioh game
Duel links pretty much confirms we wont be getting any game
>tfw this card was never good
I know they used to be afraid of power creep, but I wish they made the really cool cards like Dragon Canon and Gate Guardian at least somewhat useful.
I really wish Duel Links had the TCG playstyle instead of fucking speed duels that cater to children that are scared to play duels that last more than 5 minutes.
>A four star shitcard has flavor text longer than the warning label on cough syrup
They'll probably add it eventually once they implement XYZ+Synchros to begin with, but it'll still be limited to whatever cards are in the game at the time, so you won't be able to run the same deck as you do in the TCG format.
Why hasn't some autist made a game like yet?
All the autists play DevPro
Konami won't make a classic format because they know all cards printed after 2008 would be worth less than the paper they're printed on. No one would play modern YuGiOh if they had a choice.
That's because you're a little bitch fuccboi who is literally so mentally inept, he cannot comprehend new cards types in a children's card game that even 12 year old can master
I miss YuGiOh. Why doesn't DevPro have a classic version?
I understand a lot of things that aren't fun at all. Wipe the tears from your eyes and admit you want a classic format.
doesn't legacy of the duelist already does this on ps4? you can choose classic ruleset and use the old school cards.
duel links > all yugioh vidya
>No one would play modern yugioh if they had a choice
You're a fucking moron.
You know how you always cry about developers pandering to feminists who don't even buy their games? Yeah that's you right now. Developers don't need to pander to faggots who throw a temper tantrum if someone uses a card that came out after 2005. Developers need to make games for the people who actually play their games. You know, the millions who play the current format because it's objectively superior to "I set my monster and pass the turn until I draw Summoned Skull"
A banlist.dek format would be pretty sweet
Go play Reshef oof Destruction
>If you don't like unfun power creep to make money then you're a feminist
The absolute state of modern YuGiOh fags
Percy let's you use old rules
D.D. Warrior Lady was limited to 1 back in my days.
Classic format exists. It's called Duel Links and it's fucking awful. People who want classic format are not real yugioh players. They'll drop it immediately. The only reason duel links is profitable is because of the gargantuan install base due to it being a free phone game catering to nostalgia fags. If they make a real game it'll flop insanely hard.
The game peaked at around late 2015 early 2016 and is now once again on the road to recovery. It is literally the most interactive top 10 TCG in the market.
What's wrong with you my man? That ain't what he said.
>Classic format exists. It's called Duel Links
YuGiOh fans really are stupid aren't they.
Just because one execution was awful doesn't mean that the idea was awful. Is it impossible for a good Lord of the Rings movie to exist since The Hobbit exists?
>speed rules
yeah no shit that's shit
>he
Yeah that's definitely not you replying to someone who gave you a (you)
Speed rules?
Not even going to give you a real reply
So you're gonna shit on the idea of a classic YuGiOh, the idea of a bad attempt at classic YuGiOh, without playing either.
Literally no one brought this up until you did. What does this have to do with anything?
That's what makes the difference between classic format and duel links you fucking retard. Jesus Christ YuGiOh fans are stupider than Pokemon fans.
I play it every day to pass a few minutes on the trains. It's still fucking shit.
What does it matter when both are shit?
>I play it every day it's still fucking shit.
The absolute state of YuGiOh fans.
You may that you to proven wrong.
Becuase a classic fan would be happy with a classic format and a modern fan would be happy with a modern format. NO ONE is happy with Duel Links. Do 14 year olds not have theory of mind now?
>try to play yugioh after years
>new cards and rules
>xyz
I don't have time for this shit. Just give me a classic yugioh game
I don't care. I play the actual card game. It's literally nothing but a time waster. I also have a Yugioh cube because at one point I thought it'd be fun to experience classic yugioh with my friends again. It was shit. Complete fucking garbage. Gets really stale after 2 games.
I actually learned the new rules after not playing for all of high school and I promise you you aren't missing anything. What the modern game is is the player who goes first chains more effects than cards you can have in your hand to fill up their monster and spell/trap cards, then when it's your turn you do the same until one of the ten things they have counters your plan, then they go and one of the ten things you have counters their plan, and so on and so forth. It's horrible.
How classic? GX is when it got a lot of depth. LoB is obviously terrible.
It's not. I promise you, you're just bad at the game. There's a reason why the same people always top events. It's not "reeeeeeee if you don't go first you lose because your opponent has 50 counters"
I'm sure if you became an expert you'd be able to win. There are people who have a complete mastery of Silicon chemistry it doesn't make it fun to learn.
Or fun to do, I might add. Something being complicated doesn't make it good.
>chains more effects than cards you can have in your hand
You don't sound like you know how to play
>then when it's your turn you do the same until one of the ten things they have counters your plan, then they go and one of the ten things you have counters their plan, and so on and so forth. It's horrible.
Interaction is horrible? I don't understand, do you want set 4 pass?
I agree, YGO isn't for brainlets.
Inclusive of all cards, minus pendulum, but the way cube works you basically have to build a classic style deck. Almost no vanillas if that's what you're wondering. Used the battle pack ruleset where every monster counts as every monster type, old master rules regarding fields, and we used Synchro summon rules for fusions to make them actually summonable (in addition to their default summoning methods). I counted vanillas as tuners.
I don't want each turn to last so long that I no longer fucking care about what's happening.
They don't last that long unless your a fucking dumbass who slow plays. Also modern yugioh matches last half the time of classic ones where you do literally nothing meaningful but stall half the time.
That's kind of like that GBA GX game
Good thing yugioh is fun to learn and play.
**unless you're a brainlet that can't comprehend a card game
I was thinking about getting back into YGO. Hero decks any good at the moment?
Only shittera who cant adapt yearn for the "good ole days". You suck now. Get used to it.
t. 14 year ygo vet
My condolences
Only the darklaw variant is descent
>Playing a TCG that isn't Magic.
lol, weebs.
It's a weird time in yugioh with the new master rules (are you familiar with them?) which kind of sort of hurts heroes but I hurts almost every other deck too. Yes heroes are playable. They're like mid low tier 2 and actually function as a good anti meta deck right now. If you're using the old master rules, heroes + toad deck was really really good. With current master rules I think most don't run toad anymore. It's definitely not power crept. Heroes will always be viable in any format in some way almost entirely because or Dark Law alone plus their search and draw power. I recommend YouTube searching something like "heroes deck profile 2017" or "heroes deck profile links" and trying some of those out.
You likin them cards that literally fall apart in your hands at room temp? Kek
Hey man leave him alone. Wizards of the Coast says all its players are little babies and bullying is a bit no-no :(
>(are you familiar with them?)
Not really no but I figured I would learn the more in depth stuff from my other friends that follow it.
>Pre-Synchro Yugioh
>implying synchros were at all complicated
>implying they didn't fit perfectly into the game
>implying you didn't naturally lose interest in yugioh around this time like everyone else did and now bandwagon on hating synchros
by allah you people are dogs
yugioh has smalled cards, sized for babby hands.
do your fat neckbeard hands really secrete that much sweat that a card falls apart?
Well sorry to say the latest master rules fundamentally change the way the game is played relative to the 15 years before. It limits where things being summoned from the extra deck can go. If you don't plan to play at local events you may be better off playing with master rules 3 for a bit with your friends and then transitioning into link format
It's not that they're complicated it's that they aren't fun
magic is generic and boring as fuck
only old fat virgins like this shit
Why aren't they fun and why was it more fun before?
