Get a XL if you ever do that. Played a fuckton of 3U on WiiU back then, so decided to get a 2DS just for MonHun4U.

The screen is so small and the buttons are made for pre-mature newborns (small), so I ended up selling it. The game was very good though.

I might not know exactly what I am doing because it felt pretty clunky to me. My Gun kept unequipping itself and the monsters never hit me once while I very slowly killed them. I also find it weird that after you kill them, you have 30 (apparently 20) seconds to harvest them. I hate when a part gets destroyed mid-fight and you have to scan every inch of grass and rubble and harvest it. I really don't like the whole timed hunts thing either, I hate feeling rushed and punished for exploring the area.

All in all, I still did enjoy the game. If I knew a bit more about the series and mechanics I would probably enjoy it a lot more, so by launch day I should have no problems if I do some basic research.


I honestly prefer the more frantic pacing of Freedom Wars and the parts breaking mechanic is easily understood since the Abductors spark and spew smoke when an antennae or limb is destroyed. Since there's less visual clutter on the ground in Freedom Wars it's easy to see where the parts land too, and you just walk over them to pick them up.
