They're games with good ideas but they don't really do anything great with them. Running around and collecting things was the most fun I had with the game.
The combat is floaty and the story just fucks around without ever accomplishing anything. Side-missions run the gambit of being okay to fucking tedious.

Ever played Spiderman 2/Ultimate Spiderman on PS2/GC? It's pretty much like an evolution of that type of genre, traveling is fun, just flying to the toppest top and dropping down or shit like that, GR and GR2 have the quality to not have a shitty world too, it's actually pretty and has, at least on the main islands, a lot of effort put into it.

Pair it with a rocking soundtrack and amazing artstyle and you've got a winner.

I think the combat is good if you invest some time learning to switch between the different styles and dispatch enemies in different ways. You kind of have to make the game fun for yourself because it never really makes you use most mechanics

I say get the ps4 version since it unlocks costumes for 2, if you plan on getting 2 ever. And you should, its a direct upgrade to 1 in every way.
