Do you think Switch is powerful enough to emulate Wii and Gamecube?

I don't think so.

In terms of raw power yes, Dreamcast was emulating PS1, if it's doable I have no clue

Depends. How good is the Tegra X1 and emulating games on Dolphin?

Aren't Wii U can emulate both of them? and Switch is more powerful.

WiiU isn't emulating, it runs the games natively

yes

It runs the Wii games natively, it emulates the Gamecube ones.

Yes

Wind waker has frame drops
t. Nvidia shield tv owner

But hopefully nintendo has better code than dolphin

This is the most retarded thing I've read today

>tfw no super mario sunshine remaster for switcheroo

it's true though you brainlet

don't lie to people

Nice bait

Please don’t listen to this faggot

...

>he wants to buy games twice

Actually now that I think about it buying any nintendo game is like buying the same game again.

Mario Kart 9
Zelda 12
Mario 48
Kirby 9
etc. etc.

Who cares about old shit for fuck sake

The 3rd most sold game on the switch is a Resident Evil from 2012. 4th is a Resident Evil from 2015.

And Skyrim is number 10, 2011.

I can't believe I bought one of these pieces of shit.

Stop begging for ports

Describe to us what you believe the difference is between native and emulating

I gonna buy Switch twice if it's can actually play that old shit game.

low effort shitpost

The Nvidia Shield in China has supposedly added Wii game support, in 1080p.

Well of course Nintendo would have better knowledge of their own hardware than someone making an emulator with some leaked source code.

how similar is the OS design from wii u to the switch.
I know the GC/WII/U were all basically the same which is why emulation was so easy but is there anything about the switch that makes it super different or they just havent gotten there yet in terms of emulation? if its similar im sure we can expect some wii games. and gamecube shouldnt be an issue

The shield runs android which effectively cripples the gpu to 70% power.
Android being shit for games is the only reason iphones have a market share

Completely different architecture, GC/Wii/U hardware knowledge won't help, they'll have to start from scratch. Wii U is also different from GC/Wii which is why it's taking so long and why U emulation isn't part of Dolphin

No, the Wii U, Wii, and GC all use powerpc instructions. Which means if you can run one you can run the other. Its why Dolphin was able to run Wii games. It was originally only for the gc but they said why not. Same with dolphin booting Wii U games.

How well would it actually work without an IR sensorbar? And that's assuming the joycons even have the same IR tech the wii remotes had.

Use the more accurate gyro to emulate the ir pointing

*this week

Would that really be accurate enough though? I remember having to constantly recalibrate for Skyward Sword, and was disappointed to see that Star Fox Zero hardly improved in that matter.

Yes, though maybe not at native resolution.

Nintendo already showed GC/Wii games running on the Nvidia Shield in China, which has the exact same chip as the Switch with a less optimized OS

original Chinese video has been deleted, but they showed NSMBW running at almost full speed

I wish Nintendo stayed with IBM / AMD, look at all the Virtual Console support that it on the Wii U that is being left behind.

Hopefully Nintendo would release their own emulator like Sony release classic PS2 on PSN.

Switch should worry about being able to play its own games before trying to emulate older ones.
