I was writing this post and then took a screenshot to show off the hive that has been chilling with me since day 1. I walled them off with granite slabs so the bugs couldn't leave the cave. Just now as I was taking this screenshot I've discovered that the hive is dead and one bug is missing.

What do I do? Am i screwed? I only have two pump shotguns, a revolver, and two bolt actions. Is that enough to kill these bugs? Everyone else just has swords.

it's just got such a plethora of decent mods that anyone who plays for more than 5 hours inevitably finds a mod that fixes an issue they have or adds more content they like.

No, nothing alike at all aside from being 2d and top down. Think more of dwarf fortress or banished.

Then the mountain was having cave-ins which alarmed the bugs and made the horde go towards my base but they stopped short of the turrets and came back in, so it was extremely dangerous.

There was not much time left until they finally inevitably destroyed everything.

I didn't have much steel so couldn't build extra turrets to kill them. But i had some Incendiary Shells lying around so i came up with a plan.

During the night i made everyone a constructor and made somewhat of a labyrinth with wooden fences all across the mud moat to slow them down as fast a possible, and i put several Incendiary Traps along the way. The goal was to clutter them up as much as possible and let the mines burn them down while i shot them from afar. The fences are made of wood so they would burn too and keep them at bay.

Sadly just when i was finishing the wooden labyrinth and my people ere going to rest a bit there was another cave-in and the bug horde attacked. With no one in the frontline and just the auto turrets, the fight began.

What are some must have mods, any ones for fixing shit?

My plan worked out pretty well, lots of the bugs were burning and the fences were burning even more spreading more fire around, but the horde was HUGE and they were breaking in from the lower entrance and also from the other side of the base, had to split my soldiers to hold them off.

Some of my soldiers were seriously injured and there wasn't much time to react and take them to safety the horde was still coming.

Luckily the dogs were trained and helped around carrying some of the injured or holding the bugs still.

The aftermath was pretty messy, there were bug bodies everywhere and there should have been even more bodies if they weren't burnt away by the strategical fires.

Lost one of my soldiers from bleeding because he was the last to be trated by the injured medic.

We managed to survive the bug horde just like some Starship Troopers movie and it was pretty fun trying to get out of this situation.
Now i rebuilt my base and made sure to have proper defenses set up for this kind of situation.

Cons: Caravans only sells you 1 thing (Look we are an Kidneys caravan, we have 670 kidneys to sell) and fuck up the other regular caravans

If you know how to play that shifest of interface than RImworld is like taking a walk.

Only things you need to learn is minmaxing types of shit. Also donwload mods. Yes some of them fixes shit that should be fixed in the main game it self like pawns hauling to a ull stack or miners bringing shit back with them not wasting time going bac home and then bact to what they mined, other add content. Best mods for content: EPOE, Hospitality, Psyhology, Call of cthulu(though I don't use it), Medieval times(does what it says) and Rimjobworld if you like to add sex need to the game and have conceptual fuck ups when terrier dog can be sett to pleasure colonists whitout loosing mood points because pets don't have them and such shit..

Same thing happened to me. Loaded up my game and all but one of my colonists were missing from the Work tab. The tab was still large enough to fit them, as if they were still there, but I was getting out of range errors and no one would work. Had to restart but it really made me want to take a break.

So a quick one. Is there any fucking mod that makes sure everything is always stacked at max capacity? I'm sick and tired of having 10 stacks of Whatever, each consisting of 3 things in it, but taking as much space as 750. I'm even more sick and tired of the gymnastics needed to work around it manually.

Is there any mod that either makes things stack higher or preferably just forcing AI to stack same shit on same pile, rather than making new pile each time it feels like it?

they do since i think a17. Just tested to actually see the effect. It doesn't spread incredibly fast and died down pretty quick.
Although could be a lot worse in closed rooms.

Easy. All you need to do is putting the fire between those two rock formations and it will just die out on its own. So from where Sakura stands up north to the next rock, set up a perimeter with "house" area and they will just keep the fire at bay.

Fuck you. Infestations are the bane of my existence. I lost 4 colonists the first time they spawned because I honestly didn't expect it and had to zerg them before I could build actual defences in there. Even now it's just annoying because it slows productivity to a crawl.
