I have the emulator, I'm not getting consistent results with Sotc. I wasn't sure if my hardware was inferior or i wasn't using the right settings. Thanks for the information

you just have to give it a shot. Just remember to enable "multi core rendering" in the settings so that the emulator use more than one core then you should be mostly set.

I haven't emulated ps2 in years, but Shadow of the Colossus was always regarded as one of the hardest games to emulate. The game frequently ran at 20fps on the actual hardware, dropping as low as like 15.

That's almost a bit overkill. I remember playing through Kingdom Hearts 2 on a 2009 laptop with a core 2 duo clocked at 2.1 ghz without slowdowns except for some moments during the final boss.
A 2500k or better should eliminate all issues though.
