How good/bad do you expect it to be?
Any other series you'd want to see make a comeback?
MediEvil remake
If it's actually a remake of the original and not Remastered, then it depends on how much they want to make it like Remastered. Otherwise, the original with a faithful new coat of paint, better camera controls and collision detection, and less haphazard combat is pretty much all I could want. Hell, they can even keep the old voice acting in, that shit was always on point.
It's an HD remaster, m8. I expect it to be the same exact shit.
I want it not shit like the original.
Game has dated so badly unlike Crash or Spyro.
It's inevitably gonna be some kind of remake. Remastering PS1 models with PS4-tier textures can't be a good idea. Hell, something like Twilight Princess HD has a hard time getting away with HD textures on models that low poly, let alone a game that's nearly a decade older and on previous gen hardware.
What if they add a port of the original game, as an extra bonus, like Metroid: Zero Mission?
This exactly. That PSP remake looks like absolute trash, if this remaster isn't a reckon of the original then I'll just keep playing the original off of the PSN.
I've been replaying it and I disagree. The controls and combat are of its time but the level design and progression is rock solid stuff, the game still flows exceptionally well.
Was literally playing this today, you couldn't be more wrong. The platforming sections are tough like any PlayStation game from the era, I'll give you that. The rest of the game is still a lot of fun
the teaser trailer called it a remaster but theres no way they are gonna keep the same game mechanics and only change up the graphics. everything in that game is so outdated and trash since it came out during the early days of 3d adventure type games.
make mr. apple a playable character
Imagine that replacing Dan's skull or something.
I thought Crash was even more outdated.
imagine have taste this bad
>tfw Daniel's cameo in PSASBR was based off Resurrection, instead of the original games
I'm a huge fan of the original Medievil game. I played it all the time. Really glad it's getting a remake.
I do wish that Spyro got the remake treatment first though.
Spyro's remake better not be based off Skylanders
I feel like an Ape Escape remake shouldn't be that hard if you manage to acknowledge the first game to use the analog dualshock controller and its sequels, which ignoring most of the spin offs.
Like, gameplay-wise, it might be weird for some new players, but i remember people complaing for Ratchet and Clank having a worse story, while Ape Escape isn't known for having the best story, voice acting or even a consistent cast, while its characters look like random anime characters.
Plenty of other PlayStation platformers seemed to focus on story and voice acting, which is why Ape Escape can be easily more unique and you shouldn't miss its point any harder than all of those existing spin offs.
If it's like the Crash reboot it'll be a good game with some noticeable faults.
>which ignoring most of the spin offs.
First word should have been "while"
Should think a bit more, before rushing posts next time
I agree.
Like, "anime kids capture silly monkeys, wearing helmets, while travelling through time and space" shouldn't be that hard to get.
>inb4 they bring back PSASBR Spike, instead of using his classic design, the Big Mission one or even the Million Monkeys look
