I've heard people say that Twilight Princess might be even better than Ocarina if you look at them as two completely two seperate games but it people dislike it since as a sequel it does bring much new to the table. So I'm wondering in that case if I don't have the sentiment towards the series it would be a good idea to start with it?

It's only redeeming factor is the only semi decent water temple LoZ has ever seen
I like Twilight Princess because of Midna's ass.
why did they make midna so hot?
Twilight Princess was my first Zelda and now it's my favourite franchise, so sure.
You'll never get an honest opinion on Twilight Princess because you spend 40% of the game looking at Midna's plot and backstory.
OoT and TP are neck-&-neck but since Midna pleases my dick more than any other Vidya character TP edges OoT out.
MM is better still though.
I loved it, but I find it to be one of the least replayable. Not just because of the cutscenes, either. I just don't care about majority of hyrule after the first run.
And her ass.
The order I think is the most important is playing OoT before MM because MM is a direct sequel to OoT and you get that feeling that Link is already experienced. TP is related to OoT and MM but with the larger time gap it's less important to play in order.
OoT is better, even if TP could somehow exist without it.
>better story
>time travel vs wolf
>cooler range of dungeons (Jabu Jabu, Beneath the Well, Spirit Temple)
>harder
>instrument, magic meter, manual shielding
>better bosses
>more memorable music
>small details like your shield burning from fire attacks
If you look at them as completely separate games, then it's a shameless knockoff with its head up Ocarina of Time's ass. The only reason it gets any sort of a pass is that it's a Zelda game, and you can't accuse Nintendo of ripping off themselves.
Start with Ocarina of Time or A Link to the Past.
Twilight Princess is the perfect starting point in my opinion. It's the only one aside from Ocarina that isn't driven by some one-off feature. It's a pure experience.
That, and 50% of the game's boosters are furries.
It's the game that brought "dungeon grind" into the Zelda lexicon. Skyward Sword is worse about it, but the dungeons are a challenge-less chore to go through.
No, start with the original Legend of Zelda, then test out AoL and if you hate it skip to LttP, then continue in release order.
>small details like your shield burning from fire attacks
Except that happens in TP too.
TP felt like it didn't have as much content. I might be wrong though

I still think TP has the best sword combat in the series thanks to the secret skills thing. Granted, I haven't played BotW.
>That unsheating attack
Actually delete this.
Gross.
>Better story
Eh
>Time travel vs wolf
Both are neat though.
>Cooler range of dungeons
Subjective
>Harder
Yep
>Instrument, magic meter, manual shelding
Instrument is eh, magic meter true, shielding is in TP.
>Better bosses
Debatable
>More memorable music
Well yeah but OOT's score is perfect.
>Small details
In TP as well.
TP is like 'that part' the game to me
Well DUH.
no
fap to it till you like it
same with you
Don't start with TP. The pacing is dogshit and it's filled with tedious fetch quests. People don't dislike TP for sequel reasons. Minus a few specific moments in the game, it's constructed poorly and makes you go through too much hand-holding bullshit. The prologue section takes hours to go through, the bug hunts are awful, the dog sections play poorly, and the statue hunt is awful. TP's best attributes are the dungeons being generally better than Wind Waker's, which were awful and forgettable. In fact, you are likely to enjoy TP more for it's connections to OOT - it's a hundred years after one OOT timeline and is filled with references.
OOT and MM may be old, but they're the better 3D Zelda games to start with. OOT doesn't task you with asinine shit between dungeons. You aren't forced to hold the game's hand through majority of the game like TP makes you; you just need to listen to Navi if you're stuck and bam you're at the next dungeon. Neither are you forced to watch endless cutscenes. You can blast through OOT quickly, and MM is a much more involving game utilizing the same engine. The 3DS versions even emulate well.
If you're getting into Zelda, just play them in release order. Even splitting up the 2D games work that way; even if you skip 1 and 2, LTTP onwards is a good guide.
Except for the dominion rod and the spinner (maybe iron boots too), this isn't true.
BOTW has awful sword combat. There's literally one combo per weapon. You can't even change whether you're slashing vertical or horizontal.
so is she wearing clothes or is it markings
I want wolf link to raw me
shit you mean TP is easier than OOT?
I'm finishing up Master Quest before going back into Forest Temple, that sucks
I want to raw Midna while Wolf Link raws me
I've been told that I would like TP more than OOT based on the fact that I really like Okami and Dark Souls (my favorite games in terms of gameplay despite liking the stories and settings in things like Pathologic, Torment or Morrowind more). Does that sound like a sensible opinion?
>you spend 40% of the game looking at Midna's plot
To be fair, it is quite a plot:
Just play in release order holy shit. Start with the big meme entry and go back for retro entries if you must. This is true for anything and a basic fucking choice to make goddamn.
you just know
Sure, but considering how much time I have it would probably take me a gazillion years to achieve that. I have to be somewhat selective.
If you start with TP you most likely won't be able to play OOT, then you will then probably miss Majora's Mask.
If you don't have time just fucking play TP then, it's as long as OOT
boner, please stop
Why are people like this?
penis
It was the first one I played all the way through and it’s still my favorite. I had no nostalgia factor for it but i did play Windwaker a lot when I was younger.
That opinion is simply wrong, the game plays like neither of those, and that has no bearing on whether you'd enjoy OoT more than TP.
The general consensus for people who have played both is that OoT>TP, and seeing as those games are more comparable than Souls and Okami, I'd say that's a better metric.
That explains nothing...
Debatable. I don't have any sentiment to the series since I didn't pick it up till way later and the problem is I dislike OoT for how archaic it is compared to the newer games like TP and WW. If you want to play it save play OoT and MM first, and then play the other 3D one's in whichever order you like. 2D is exempt from this
a penis and ballsack do explain it
I think a defective brain would explain it more accurately. A human that's sexually interested in things that don't lead to or even relate to procreation means something is wrong.
post more midna
Midna is great. But just about anything related to the wolf or the twilight realm, outside of story and lore, is just complete and utter shit from a gameplay perspective. And sadly there is quite a lot of it in the game.
The start is also a huge slog even when compared to most other Zelda games.
It has its highlights for sure. But all things considered it is far from as good as Ocarina of Time or most of the other games in general.
Play Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask before playing Twilight Princess.
>Items become useless after their dungeon
>game introduces a gimmick and you use it extensively
I don't see the problem
MM > LTTP > OOT > BoTW > TP > WW
Objectively retarded
Switch BotW and TP and you're golden
...
I wonder if midna returned in a future Zelda game, would TP still be praised as much. Even so, I still like TP.
OOT>MM>LTTP>WW>BOTW>TP
Game sucked once you became a wolf. Just got super bored at that part.
>that little yelp that Midna does run you start sprinting in wolf form
Gets me hard everytime
but midna sits on you
The game sucked dick before you became a wolf and good after getting the green tunic. That whole Ordon Village thinly veiled tutorial section sucks
Twilight Princess is the worst 3d zelda and in no way is it better than ocarina of time.
MM > OoT > WW > TP > who gives a fuck about the others?
Also post more Midna ass.
m'kay
>doesn't get off to wide hips and a mischievous smile
No user, the fault lies with you.
Skyward sword is the worst 3d Zelda game by far even if TP is a Oceana of time rehash at least it's fun
...
TP had the best and most versatile sword combat.
albeit slacking on difficulty
...
It also had the most disappointing secrets. 9/10 it was a fucking rupee. And 9 times out of those you had to put it back.
...
...
keep em coming
MM64 >>>>> MM3DS
I've never seen a more literally inviting as than this.
...
...
you got me excited thinking it would be an album of midna
you hurt me
...
...
...
They are two different games and I do think TP is better than OoT
