I just re-subbed in Wizard101 like a week ago. Storm level 59. Surprised to see this thread on Sup Forums though.

Pirate101 sucks cock.

I do like the companions in Pirate101 though

I like how in either game you can choose when redeeming prepaid cards either Crowns or a month or two of membership

I tend to pick crowns so I can access each area on when I'm ready to incase I play the game on and off.

Ever get any of the bundles? Or play any of quizes on their site to earn free crowns?

The only bundle I've ever gotten was the first one, which IIRC was the massive fantasy castle one.

So far I've gotten the dinosaur bundle, gotta prepaid card hoping to get the dog pet on it, but I got a different one for some reason

What class do you play? I play Fire magic, apparently they hit hard but can't take much damage, I can dual class later right? Any spells to help balance out?

Hows the story?

First post, Storm wizard. Yes Fire is like that. Also you can dual classes though everyone just uses to dual Life school for healing cards. As for spells to balance things out, just use whatever is good that your school gives you, a few healing cards, and if you have membership buy some of the balance cards you get in Krokatopia.

It's pretty cliche but it's a kids MMO, so that's expected. You just go from world to world meeting different races and fighting different enemies to ultimately defeat the antagonist that has no real motives and is bad for the sake of being bad.

Even though it's targeted for kids it can be pretty difficult into later zones even if you have someone to play with.

>Buying cards

I thought cards that you can buy can only be used once, Treasure cards right?

Daily reminder every world after Dragonspyre is boring as fuck and the game peaks at Marleybone.

What are the purpose of pets? Just fun to have around? What do pet snacks do? Which pet do you guys use?

You can buy treasure cards with gold and you can spend training points (which you get every 5 levels after 20 I think) to spend on other schools. You could also craft cards but that takes time.

Oh god, I haven't played Wizard101 in a long-ass time. I joined right after the beta, and I liked it so much I played it obsessively for the next few years. I stopped playing around the time that safari african world came out, I started to feel that everything focused too much on casting your main school spells and healing spells rather than the diversity of spells available early game, since it takes so many more pips to cast those higher level spells. Did they ever fix that?

Pets can cast spells.

Don't know much about the deep workings but I think they added a new type of late game magic, Shadow Magic

There's also the late game Sun, Star, and Moon magic

also I have no idea what the other classes are like, I know Fire, as stated above, hits hard, but can't take much damange, Storm is the same but has even less HP

It's like that for boss fights and PVP. Just spend the whole match buffing yourself, using traps on the enemy, and gathering pips for a powerful card. Don't really need to do that for regular mobs.

Storm fizzes a lot as well, which as a Storm player is really frustrating.

You can decorate houses in this game?

Oh shit I haven't played this game in a long time.
I remember being a Myth class because it had summons and I like those.
I think I got to the second area before I eventually stopped playing.
Is it still as good as I remember it, or has it gone to shit?

I believe all classes have summons for attacks

I may be remembering wrong. but I think that when you cast the spell, they go on your team and help you out with their own decks and what not.

OH! I didn't know that

Hopefully when I get to Dual Class, I'm not limited to only my starting one and the other I pick

Anyone Play Pirate101? Who are your party members?

It's the same but more. Different elements get added like every 3 years.

So what would you pick on prepaid cards? The crowns so you can go through all the game areas at your own pace when your ready? Or The Membership so you can have it unlocked all at once?

reminder that one you pay an area's crown cost, you have permanent access to that area even on a free account
