for who
Isn't gooseman making the animations for rust now? His CS and AQ2 anims will always be the best.
obligatory
Explain to a nogunzfag please
Ouch my thumb hurts just looking at that
i dont even know shit about guns, but it looks like there is no clip ejection thing at the bottom. So it looks like he is just shoving a clip through wood.
What's the deal with autistic people and their giant boner for 1st person reload animations?
>Left Handed Bolt
>J-J-JAM IN THAT CLIP LIKE IT'S A MAGAZINE
when the mag is loaded and you bolt, it cycles the round. the animation team made all the guns left handed
bolt on left, inserting clip from bottom of rifle
Anything Bethesda.
Good lord where to start
>bolt is on the wrong side
>clip is fed through the bottom like a magazine
>a clip being used to reload a scoped clip-fed rifle at all
I wanted to replay FC2 recently after not playing it for many years and I discovered all the guns in the game are left handed
>uninstall.exe
since MaxOfS2D has google alerts for whenever his name is mentioned: hi Max you're a faggot.
How does this happen?
Wait, I thought that was just on twitter?
MaxofS2D is a huge egotistical tool with just the twitter shit alone but if he gets google alerts whenever he's mentioned, yeah that's super fucking cancer
Hey Max, you're a fucking loser.
Someone post the Fallout 4 one please, you know the one
I'm not a huge gunfag either but I'll try to point things out.
1. The bolt positioning is on the left side, making it a left handed rifle. The rifle is being shot with his right. With this set up, the empty bullet case could be ejecting into the shooter's face.
2. When the clip is ejected, you can still see bullets/cases when it's removed.
3. When a new clip is inserted, there's no chamber/hole thingy, so it looks like he's jamming it through wood.
this isn't an animation but how the fuck was this supposed to work
Here's one, might not be the exact webm you're thinking of though
The drum mag is too far up right?
This kills the /k/
that's what I was thinking
it doesn't make much sense
this looks wrong and I do not like it
I actually like the right handed left side bolt, but only on an obrez.
This is it thanks user, makes me laugh every fucking time
wait a fucking second
obsidian got reloads like that down in NV, with shit like the cowboy repeater
could bethesda not even do that?
yeah. basically the drum would have to be lower, the rounds would have to come all the way back to near the trigger guard, and they would have to have some kind of mechanism to push them up into the chamber from there. it's completely nonsensical when you could just have the magazine set up so the rounds go right into the chamber like a normal gun.
For me, its the loading animation for the shotgun in Timesplitters: Future Perfect. Literally ruined the double barreled shotgun from the previous games.
Liberals don't give a fuck about firearms accuracy.
I'd argue most normal people don't either.
And shouldn't be educated on it neither
T. Hunters son, with family in Law & Military
I'm a /k/ommando born and bred.
Less firearms accuracy and more accuracy in general that the layman doesn't give a shit about. Of which, Fallout 4 is rife with. Such as a ghoul chilling in a fridge for those years.
>durr muh left hand wepunz
Devs have been doing this for literally forever. That doesn't make it okay, but this is hardly the straw that breaks the camel's back. Making all the guns wrong-handed is nothing compared to the goddamn shotgun reload where you SHOVED THE SHELLS DOWN THE BARREL
you
the worst part about this has to be the fucking clip being taken out with the casings intact
well like, that's not the only thing wrong with it
to be fair, fallout isn't exactly the most science-accurate series
but ghouls still need food and water so it makes no goddamn sense for the kid to live that long
>could bethesda not even do that?
Too lazy and the normalfag audience doesn't give a shit anyway. If I recall Obsidian said it was actually really difficult to get proper reload animations because the engine is that fucking bad.
...
yeah I've watched Joshua Sawyer's Youtube channel, I think he talked about that problem on there
but you'd think with their "new advanced engine" which is just a shinier version of the engine they've been using since morrowind(?) they'd at least learn something from obsidian
>Isn't the most science accurate
It's less about scientific accuracy and more about logical consistency in world which Bethesda doesn't seem to give a shit about, along with their fans. If I recall correctly there are lines different NPCs say in game that contradict one another regarding these things.
yeah, the kid in a fridge completely nullifies a pretty significant part of Fallout 1's plot
it's so retarded
Now does anyone have the WebM where the player is in VATS and a shell ejection loops right back inside the gun?
>deedle deedle
...
These animations are 4 years old. To be fair, the animations in rust now are pretty damn good.
I wish more games had goofy reload animations like this you could unlock or something.
>but you'd think with their "new advanced engine" which is just a shinier version of the engine they've been using since morrowind(?) they'd at least learn something from obsidian
Yeah I mean like I said Bethesda is just fucking lazy. Their hack fuck gamebryo still suffers from a ton of the limitations of gamebryo, a good example being the complete lack of ladders because the AI can't handle it or the infamous subway on top of a persons head shit.
eh, that's actually kind of neat
Thats not horrible, thats just a neat easter egg you see almost never.
it's a real shame, there's a lot of potential but shitty engines and laziness just ruin it
in a perfect world when todd stops cumming on piles of money he'd direct everyone to actually make or use a proper fucking engine
...
I'm digging these dumb easter egg reloads
do you have the desert eagle one where he makes it disappear and reappear?
>Last remnants of Dice quality can only be seen in their easter egg reloading mechanics
Rip.
...
kek
thats the best one
If you haven't read it already
Amen my /k/ brothers, I say amen. God (praise be to him and his son Jesus of Nazareth) damn liberals and people from other countries are ruining the gaming industry.
Excuse me? OUR opinion matters more than yours. WE the people's militia who will protect you from the government while you're cowering behind your couches. Get a grip, sheeple. Start respecting the people who you owe your lives to, and maybe we won't waste any bullets on you.
So. Game makers. Publishers. Developers.
Consult. Us. On. Gun. Animations. In. Games.
They are the absolute single priority. Then you can get back to gameplay, sound design modelling or whatever. You don't really need to worry about that stuff when the gun animations are on point. I want to see my face in the gleaming brass as it flies out of the ejection port. I want to feel the mouse vibrate precisely to match the reload sequence of my Heckler and Koch(tm) UMP(tm) 45. As long as the player knows their shells from their rounds, and their clips from their strips - you've made a good game.
You're welcome for the information. Be smart. Listen to the guys with the guns - our patience is wearing thin, and our trigger fingers are growing itchy. Thankfully we've learned the art of trigger discipline, but you probably don't know what that is.
Fellow /k/ soldier reporting out. Keep fighting the good fight, my brothers.
It wasn't even DICE, it was Volition. That's BF Hardline.
...
I mean Visceral, the fuck did I say Volition for? EA killed them so hard the name was wiped from my memory.
this is why you lost the election
goddamn bro, that's quite a book you wrote there for a basic shitpost.
I don't know what this is but I'm gonna assume it's retarded
The popular vote wasn't the election.
#I'mwithhim
(You)
Christ almighty, I think /k/ can take a hint
So gentle
I don't think they can, judging by the daily occurrence of these threads
Anybody notice the last bullet gets flicked off screen for it to come back? I just noticed.
My post didn't really have anything to do with /k/ and he still quoted me.
>taking a copy-pasta serious
I love when world at war got the double barrel reload down, no need to ejec t both shells at the same time
the same way as a regular automatic shotgun, just drum at the end of the tube.
the tube at the bottom of a lot of shotguns is the magazine
Since the drum isn't below the chamber you'd have to have an additional mechanism to move the shells back along the tube then up to the chamber. Theoretically possible but retarded as hell.
yeah, but how would it load shells into the chamber(?)
it seems way more complicated than just putting the magazine under the chamber
Oh I've read it user, but thanks for reminding me.
But how does the mag feed?
Unless it has something in the little tube that pushes the shells back but that seems like unnecessary complication
>old fashioned /k/ and Sup Forumstards who try to nitpick everything
"Th-this doesn't make sense!!!"
>me
*coughs*
400332045
Low-tier bait
>quoting me when I'm just asking a question
FUCK YOU
>Make a cops and robbers game
>Game flops hard
I just want a better Payday with PvP god dammit
go to bed todd
>that seems like unnecessary complication
It is
Theoretically possible to do, but overly complicated bullshit like that is why the G11 was a complete failure while the AK and its variants are the most commonly used weapons in the world
No worries, everyone needs their fix of exploding guns
Sorry I forgot the image
Just wanted to answer the question
fuck off pete hines
wait
guns explode in Far Cry 2?
What is it with animators making animations that look like they're trying so hard?
It's a damn shame because it has the best gun play of recent battlefield games. If only it didn't flop at launch.
Yes, the game has a durability system for guns. At some point they start to jam, and when they give out the gun nonsensically explodes as part of the failure animation, leaving you with no gun.
NPCs always carry guns in shitty condition, and so getting high quality guns is only possible through the weapons vendor who gives you an infinite supply of any unlocked guns you've purchased or find the hidden golden AKs. But the overall degradation appearances can be fucking bonkers, the deagles look like they go through hell and back before giving up entirely.
holy shit I thought fallout was weird with jams
that's so stupid having guns just fucking EXPLODE
Guns can explode if they have a catastrophic failure though.
It's rare as fuck but possible
I don't know but I hate the animation in the OP. Everything fucking bounces like it's made out of rubber and the guy fucking contorts his arm horribly just to chamber a round. It's way too CSS fpsbanana "tacticool" for a fucking survival game.
well yeah I'm sure
but they way they explode is what gets me
...
Metro has easter egg reload animations??
Nahh, they're just the idles.
>when he turns around to see who gave him the ammo
Every time.
Metro 2033 had them aswell, Did you never notice that?
It's like Halo 1 you idle..
Have at it /k/
Literally never went idle to ever notice them.
