2017 DAMAGE REPORT

List all the games you played this year. Post your backloggery or spreadsheet you log your games in. Don't just list 2017 releases, but games from any year that you first played in 2017.

There's still two weeks to go you mongoloid. I'm going to complete AT LEAST two more games in that time.

>BotW, still have to play any of the DLC
>Samus Returns, still have to beat it fast enough to get Samus to take off her armor
>Only made it about half way through Monster Hunter Stories, don't really have an excuse for why I stopped, should really go finish it one day
>Stopped playing Xenogears because of the button mash sewers, I guess I'll have to power through it one day
>Replayed through the entirety of Xenoblade Chronicles X while waiting for 2
>Bought a Switch for Xenoblade 2's launch, just beat the story two days ago, currently finishing off sidequests
>Bought Prey at 50% off, still have to touch it
>Did my yearly replay of Link's Awakening
>Played a lot of TF2, as always

I think that's pretty much it for this year.

>Played for the first time and finished:
Nioh (normal play through and way of the strong)
Super Robot Wars V (two playthroughs; I even got all the trophies)
Nier Automata (Endings A, B, C, D, E and some of the joke ones)
Wolfenstein II The New Collosus: one playthrough.
System Shock: one playthrough. What an amazing game.
Vanquilsh: one playthrough.
Ace Combat 3 fanstranslation: emulated it on my tablet, finished the first route.

>Replayed and finished:
Vanilla Dark Souls 2; decided to try a pure caster. A pure caster is both viable and powerful, if not as broken as a pure mage on Dark Souls 1. Finished an entire NG cycle, DLC included
Dark Souls 3: a friend wants to play the DLC with me so I created a new character; a pyromancer. Pyromancy sucks dicks in this game.
Vagrant Story: after not playing it for at least ten years I decided to emulate it on my tablet. It worked excellently and was able to chain up to 16 hits. Finished NG and NG+, even got a Holy win to drop.

Played occasionally:
Killing Floor 2: my main multiplayer game
Deathsmiles: I want to 1cc it. One day.

2017 was a pretty productive year.

I finished Nioh and the Phantom Pain. I’ll probably be done P5 by years end too.

Games I’m struggling to finish: Nier Automata (kind of bored during this 9S playthrough.) The Evil Within (my heart can’t really take that mission where buddy appears randomly and comes for you. I have a panic attack.

pretty sure i forgot to log a few, but for the most part, pic related

I think it would be more interesting if you guys post your opinion about the games you finished / are playing / dropped.
It doesn't have to be a doctoral thesis; just a small sentence resuming your feelings toward the game(s).

>logging your games

Fate/Extella
Tales of Berseria
Nier: Automata
.hack//G.U. Last Recode HD remake ps4
Pokemon Ultra Sun
Persona 5
Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen ps4
Final Fantasy 12 Zodiac Age

This has been a pretty damn good year.

How do you have time for all these games?

Played too many, so I'll just list started and completed

>Advent Rising
>Alan Wake
>Brutal Legend
>Dark Dreams Don't Die
>Deadly Premonition (the godawful pc port at that)
>Dino Crisis
>Enslaved
>Gitaroo Man
>Legendary
>Mortal Kombat 1&2 arcade (2 is rock fucking solid)
>One Way Heroics
>Red Faction
>Shadowgrounds
>Zeno Clash

Slow going but I'm getting back into finishing games again. Last year I completed 4, if that, so this year hasn't been that bad

Is that really a lot of games? I finished those pretty easily while still having a job and enjoying other hobbies like anime.

Finished:
SWAT 3
NFS: High Stakes
NOLF 1 and 2
Prince of Persia 3D
Morrowind
Metal Gear Acid
Ace Combat 3 (Fiona route)
Gladiator Begins

Started too many games that I doubt I'll ever go back to and finish. The only ones I can see myself beating are Panzer Front and Jagged Alliance 2.

I just beat Sonic 1 for the first time. I played it alot as a kid, but never got pasr Marble zone because no save states
I hope to beat 2 and 3 before Winter break ends.

Resident Evil 7
Gravity Rush 2
Nioh
Nier Automata
Breath of the Wild
Persona 5
Hollow Knight
Cuphead
Sonic Mania
Mario Odyssey
Xenoblade 2
Divinity 2

>other
Suikoden 1+2
Doom
Dark Souls 3 when all the DLC was released

That's it I think

Man, I'm really affected by tired gamer syndrome then :(

nigga you think I remember that far back? I dont remember what I played last month, let alone all of 2017

>having a fucking spreadsheet for games you want to play but havent yet

will do

>GR2
Imaginative, but eh gameplay. Cool story and environment. Like the side missions the most.
>SH2
Too many fucking hallways of nothing, but still great
>RE7
Some top tier moments like papa jack fight but a lot of eh sections
>Nioh
Amazing combat system, repetitive enemies and environments
>BotW
Great exploration and puzzles, repetitive enemies, combat is dull
>Persona 5
Dont really care for SMT combat and story takes a nosedive after kamoshida
>MK8
Its mario kart, not much to say
>Nier
Great combat and fun story
>Splatoon 2
Love me some splatoon multiplayer with friends, but dont really play it by myself
>FF12
Flawed masterpiece, remaster fixes a shit ton
>Picross S
Its picross, for the switch
>Super Mario Odyssey
Prefer course gameplay a la Galaxy
>Fortnite BR
Absolute blast to play
>Dragon's Dogma
Another flawed masterpiece, so many epic moments

World of Tanks (quit in May)
Age of Empires 2 replayed all campaigns, beat some of The Forgotten and African Kingdoms campaigns
Supreme Commander and Supreme Commander Forged Alliance
FEAR

Haven't yet finished

Really wish I had more time for games. Zelda is great but I can barely find time to play. Really enjoying Uncharted 4. Why the hell am I becoming a normie, Sup Forums?

bump

Also need to play Nier: Automata at some point.

Thanks to Sup Forums, I made my first foray into weebshit with the Danganronpa series. Finished it a week or so ago. It's one of my favorite franchises. Thanks, Sup Forums!
I also started WoW. I went from leveling my first character with Legion invasions, to being a useless pubbie, to being a raider by Normal/Heroic Emerald Nightmare, to getting Ahead of the Curve: Xavius. I'm proud of how fast I climbed in my raid career. Guild drama ended my WoW time, though. Candle that burns twice as bright I guess
Completed the Arkham franchise. Fantastic series. Didn't hate Knight as much as most people here but it had its merit. Beautiful game, too.
A few months back I went into a RE craze. Beat 4 for the first time, 5 again, and both REvelations games. I'm too anxious to get through RE:Make but I think eventually I'll get back to it. Waiting on a new graphics card to play RE7.

I wish I played more good games this year. I played a lot of slop I feel wasn't worth my time, like Killer is Dead, Dirty Bomb, Saint's Row 4, Darksiders, To The Moon, etc.

Have i done good?

>Bought:
Pyre, 10/10 visual novel

Children of Zodiarcs, indie single player tactics RPG with cardgame mechanics mixed in, pretty interesting concept. low budget and probably a 6/10

Cuphead, 7/10 platformer

>Backlog cleared:
Endless Legend, fantastic 4X, wish it had more story to it like Alpha Centauri

Trine 1+2, 10/10 puzzle and atmosphere games

Shadow Warrior reboot, 9/10 old school fps with fun melee combat and classic quippy hero

Rebel Galaxy, 7/10 modern Freelancer, sadly low budget indie game and lacks content because of it

Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom, 9/10 old school city management game, got a bit repetitive but was still very fun

Stardew Valley, 8/10 addictive farming game

My steam backlog is down to less than a page, maybe next year I'll be back to buying modern games again.

i expect more games next year

nice log

acceptable

bit of a weeb

it is nice to see people stuck in the past just like me

you got the big releases but you are lacking those smaller games that define you as a gamer boy. think of this as facebook, where is that quirky detail that makes you standout. Suikoden is a good start but you can do more
