I get all that, and I assume it's either true or mostly true.
But then,
She's actually a flesh eater? I guess? But she wasn't a Blade put into the sisters body, because we see that body.
So, was she just a random Blade her father owned that he put into... some girl? Was she actually a sister to them? If she was a Blade, why was she raised as part of the family?
I feel like I missed something, or it just doesn't make sense.
I figured the reveal was going to be that she was a Blade put into his daughters body, to become his daughter, but then we see his daughters body, so that doesn't make sense.

It works both ways. The condition for flesh eaters is to simply inject human cells into a Blade regardless of the method. Blade Eaters are the ones that have to go through complicated procedures to meld parts of core crystals onto a human body.

So Nia became a Flesh Eater because of that, that makes sense. Although a little strange the father could do that, considering how often it failed for the ancient people.

Lord tries to teach Nia to be a lady, to fit into the family better >Daughter on verge of death, lord breaks down and in desperation have Nia absorb her, also take her name probably >Nia lived with him for 2 years until the lord dies >Try to run away from Indol with Dromarch

There is no "Japanese dub" It's pointless having an argument like this because the game and characters were casted by the people writing the game and characters. They fit their vision. The dub has a random voice director making people read scripts, with no interactions from the developpers at all.

I like both honestly, but I opted for the Jap one at the end because while the Eng was very good, specially for the main characters, some of the minor character's voices were REALLY obnoxious, on top of that I noticed Jap Poppi's VA is someone I like so there's that too.
