Unless you travel alot I don't really see the point of them over a desktop. You also pay 3t imes as much to get the same power and you never can get as much power as a high end desktop. Even a 3000 dollar laptop is pretty much a mid end desktop.

It looks and plays far better on Cemu though. Downoload some graphics mods such as "clarity mod" which removes the bleached colors and fog, this alone makes the game 10x more enjoyable. Also if you haven't, on Cemu you can pirate all the dlc and amiibos.

right now, its only use is to play translated VNs like Yukikaze and emulating PS1 games I missed out, like the uncensored RE1

i5 3570k @ 4.2Ghz here, nearly constant 30fps using the fps++ speedhack (search for it on leddit).

GPU is irrelevant, I have a 560Ti and I can run it easily at 1080p with improved shadows, reflextra and clarity mods.

I was in a discord call with the guy as he was talking about specs of the hardware with another guy and he honestly sounded like he had absolutely no clue what fuck he was doing.

Give me another solution that allows me to play on the sofa? (If I wanted to use a controller id get a console). Property doesn't have a separate room for a desktop setup, no space for a desk in the living room/bedroom. Laptop allows me to have a setup I can close the lid on and put away when I'm needed by the wife/kids.

Gaming laptops only make sense in extreme edge case circumstances: either you are on the road greater than 150 days a year or you live in an extremely tight close quarters situation. I had a friend enlist in tbe navy and while living on a frigette it made complete sense to have a gaming laptop as a mid tower and monitor was out of the question. Most people that own these however are just blowing money or are kids that fooled their tech illiterate parents.

Average monitor price is around 250 bucks. 1080p monitors were sold for like 500 doritos back in 2010, let alone 2008 when poorfags still had CRT's and first world were rolling with 1600x900 21 inch panels.

I bought one with 980m, needed one because as much I'd prefer a desktop, I had limited space in uni dorms, constantly switching locations too. Now that I settled down I'm gonna wait till my laptop breaks down and invest into a tower. For the most part laptops are ok if you are not playing newest, most demanding games, and even those should work just fine in most cases, but god fucking damn I hate the optimus and switching cards in general. Some games will refuse to detect your GPU no matter what you do, good luck playing on IntelHD with 10fps then.

Anyway, all you need is Wii U USB Helper which will take care of the basics, then you need FPS++ speedhack, and maybe DS4Windows if you want to play gimmick shrines with motion controls (they're impossible otherwise so you better have a PS3 or PS4 controller, but I heard it can be done with an android phone too).
