I wouldn't have cared even if it was announced right after Half Life 2. I honestly didn't like it that much and never even bothered to play the Episode games.

I don't know why people still think HL3 might actually happen. Gabe went on record years ago saying a) they aren't making it, b) they have no intention of ever making it and c) if they ever do make it then expect the game to be full of micro-transactions. Who fuck the fuck wants that?

Of course, HL2 is still my favorite game, but they have their work cut out for them in order to match the talent that has been lost.
