But the old Nintendo games were for kids too, so that's not an argument.

When you were younger, you didn't have years and years of videogame experience. Go back and play older games now, they're not hard, but some can be frustrating. The lack of controlling your position after jumping in super ghosts and ghouls certainly adds to the difficulty, but today everyone would say it's artificial and the game is just poorly designed. The game is piss easy overall.

People with self respect and who care what others think about them.

There's nothing self conscious about realizing how the world sees you can effect how your life turns out.

That's incredibly self conscious actually, especially when it comes to what video game you play.
What you should be aiming for is self awareness, self respect, and a respect for those around you.
