Original Xbox backwards compatibility is awesome. Finally able to play games I missed out on. And the enhancements are nice. What games are you hoping they'll add? And are you playing any?

All of my favorite OG xbox games (except for Halo 1 + 2 obviously) are racers. Which almost always feature licensed music. So I don't think I'll be seeing them ported :/

>tfw you cannot play Black because it is not availible in your xbox account region

Xbox one is so fucking shit to me. I hate the design, I hate the UI, I hate the controller.
BUT
Backwards compatibility and gamertag changes are the only good things it has. Exactly WHY in the fuck does Sony like to fuck us in the ass with that? Hell, I've bought some PS2 games on my PS4, have my money I don't give a shit; but AT LEAST LET ME CHANGE MY GODDAMN NAME.

can you use a physical disk? we in the US can

user, why don't you buy both the original Xbox and a 360 for less than the price of a single X1? Then you aren't limited to just the games Microsoft adds to BC and you can use the objectively superior 360 and S controllers

the controller is ok but the 360 one is the best pad of all time so it's hard to compete. i don't like the bumpers on the xbone pads

Hate the controller? You must have shit hands.

It is nice and I'm playing NGB and Black right now.

I actually want to get an OG Xbox but it'd have to be the clear one, I'd also have to get a decent CRT for old games.
As far as a 360 goes I'd rather get a fat PS3 and hack it.

The only Xbox controller I like is the original one, 360 is pretty meh and One is stupid big. I still haven't played with a Duke yet though so I have no opinion on that one.

i haven't touched my xbox controller in years but there is no way it is smaller than the xbone pad

I think the Duke is making a comeback and I liked the feel of it. There's a couple flea markets near me that have old games and consoles. I was thinking of getting a bunch of OG games since most of the popular ones will be bc next year.

The duke feels good once you're used to it .

I agree with you though, the One controller is ass. It's not the size for me, it's the bumpers, DPad, sticks... just feel like cheap garbage.

Skipping the 360 is a mistake, you'll miss out on a lot.

I'm actually keeping an eye out for a crystal box right now but I gotta get one with the controllers. But we have to pay a premium for them in America.

Well it's not only the size, I just don't like the controller itself. I don't like the stick placement, the Xbox button is too bright for playing at night (don't know if it can be dimmed), the bumpers are clicky and the first time I played an Xbox One back in 2013 I swear the triggers hurt my fingers somehow. It was just uncomfortable.
Now I'm used to it sure but I still prefer the DS4.

>I think the Duke is making a comeback
What?

>Skipping the 360 is a mistake
What games does it have that I can't play on a PS3? I've always been a Sony kid.
>I'm actually keeping an eye out for a crystal box
>But we have to pay a premium for them in America
Hehehehehe About $40 bucks with controller in Mexico

Black really isn't that good. The only noteworthy thing about it when it came out was the graphics and detail on the gun animations but otherwise it was a total slog to play because most enemies ate up bullets more than OP eats dick.

>can you use a physical disk? we in the US can
Maybe? I haven't tried that one.

>and you can use the objectively superior 360 and S controllers
Explain

Halo 3, Reach, ODST, 4
Project Gotham Racing 3 and 4
Forza 2/3/4
Mass Effect 1

maybe it's just me but I also like the controller infinitely more than the PS3 pad. and the online features on 360 are a lot more fleshed out and usable than PS3 from what I used of it like 3 years ago. thats all personal preference though

the Xbox One controller is okay, but it feels cheap. I'd much rather use a 360 pad or original xbox S Controller.

the UI and controller are by far the best this gen. i haven't seen the switch UI yet but i own both a ps4 and xbox one and i can say it's way better than ps4s. the box theme on ps4 was outdated 3 years ago.

I mean yeah, obviously it's a Halo Machine, but other than that I don't particularly like racing games.
Also I'm already paying for PS+, even if I got a 360 I wouldn't get Xbox Live.

>the Xbox One controller is okay, but it feels cheap. I'd much rather use a 360 pad or original xbox S Controller
Wait so the OG Xbox controller is called an "S" controller?

There are two 360 controllers. The big, original one is called the "Duke". The Japanese controller that ended up being used everywhere when people complained about the size of the Duke is called the "Controller S" according to the sticker on the back, but it ends up being called S controller because that makes a lot more sense.

>There are two 360 controllers
>The big, original one is called the "Duke"
Wasn't the Duke for the Original Xbox instead of 360?

yes i am an idiot, i noticed just as you replied. I was speaking of original xbox controllers on both counts

>shitty deinterlacing
>shitty optimization
>10 games
Just buy original hardware, geez...
