Game tries to be funny

>game tries to be funny
>it isn't

>Writers idea of a good cast is to not have a single white male and everyone is a badly done spouter of unfunny and unfitting one-liners and there isn't a single serious situation

>Show tries to have good ending
>It doesn't

so we're all in agreement that the ending of samurai jack was the biggest disappointment of 2017?

>game tries to be serious
>it's funny

Yes. never seen a show drop from nearly 10/10 to sub-5/10 so quickly

Not fucking vidya.
Go to

Yep.

Genndy is a fucking hack

It was doomed to fail from the Season 5 announcement. Everyone expected a much bigger blowout twist rather than the main series arc of getting back to the past and defeating Aku being resolved with a nice little bow.

>haha I watched Gurren Lagann and loved it
>let me copy it

Xenoblade 2
Rex's voice actor is practically on the same level as Tommy Wiseau

I have to wonder if he was forced to change the ending at the last minute for some reason. There's no way Genndy is able to sit back and confidently say "Yup, that's exactly how I wanted the show to end."

The first three episodes are nothing like the rest and the final episode is completely out of place, it's like three different shows in one season.

I'll give him that he only had 10 episodes to work with but the way the chick was handled was wrong in my opinion, quite frankly if they scraped her and focus on Punished Jack more the show would be more successful.

No, speak for yourself and other autists

not video games fuck off

It was 50/50. Some wanted a twist, others just wanted a conclussion.
But we didn't even get a Jack vs Aku fight, which could have made any chosen path satisfactory.

i remained optimistic for a few episodes, but when the love stuff escalated really quickly and then she became a mary sue with aku's powers and then died all gurren lagann style, just...

Why was there such a significant drop in quality after the 3rd episode

milked all the nostalgia fans for attention and by then he could sit back an laze with the quality.

games suck

At least it got one, so I'm content.

Best when that happens

probably time. the first 3 episodes felt like they had a shitload of time and effort put into them, then the quality dropped off a fucking cliff and hit rock bottom at episode 10, which I'm guessing they had way tighter schedule for.

>Games tries to be serious
>Ends up being funny in a pathetic way

Dude should have focused on wrapping up if he only had 10 episodes

The way they killed off Aku was pretty anticlimactic.

>Game's ending rips off Gurren Lagann

Andromeda was worse.
SJ Season 5 was just flawed.

I found the 4th episode to be a great breather. Good looking art direction inside the monster, good choreography, etc. Epi 5 was where it started to fall.
Episode 10 was just pure shit without pace.

No clue.
I just personally hate how Ashi was introduced and then had way too much weight on the plot and the resolution of the whole series. The only thing Jack cared about from seasons 1-4 was getting back to the past, and so the audience only cared about Jack succeeding. But now we have to be invested in some character that was introduced in the 5th and final season, almost out of nowhere? Nah, that just ruins the formula.

>Jack cared about from seasons 1-4 was getting back to the past
Jack let go of multiple chances to go back for the sake of other people, and thats why the audience liked him. He was good hearted.
