Rusty is pure damage while Nonoka is damage+utility, so they both fill different roles which is pretty great since Nonoka can lock down an enemy with ailments while Rusty wails on the enemy.

Elma never used her weapons properly. One of the few things XC2 did better than X was lower the amount of moves available to AI, so they weren't as retarded.

Real best girl was Murderess. She might've been shit as a party member, but some of her debuffs were useful, and she had the best H2Hs and affinities. The only girl who comes close is based Mia.

Fun fact, Birdie takes no fall damage because of the thing where they don't hurt drunks as bad because they go limp/don't tense up.

But Lin was actually one of the best party members in the entire Xenoblade series thus far. She's far and away the best tank the series has seen, with 25 second long taunts, hella defense, and actual damage output. She's Dunban on steroids. Especially if you drop a shitload of potential up augments on her. I've seen AI Lin pump out 800k damage when properly equipped. By herself.

I liked those moments too. I was talking more about how much i liked her imperial aesthetic/ personality, and how I'm glad halfway through she didn't learn there's more to life and drop it. Also I was bugged that the scene with her and Emperor Niall after the Bana fight wasn't animated like the more important cutscenes. Instead it was one of those weird in-between scenes you get when characters are just talking. Poor Morag. She didn't get the attention she deserves.
