Xbot here. I don't have much to say in the games department but PUBG along with Minecraft was actually a smart move. It sells like hotcakes.
The first patch will be out today and they promised visible improvements how the game runs.
Outside of the mid-game disconnects the game is a fucking blast on xbox 1. The glitches and shitty textures are charming, and the framerate is completely awful but all part of the experience.
My only lament is that the game gets like 3 more FPS on Xbox One X, and undoubtedly people are purchasing the most powerful console ever to squeak a marginally better framerate out of this flaming pile of shit.

Except the gameplay isn't even fun because of how piss-poor the game is optimized. It's a glitchy unfinished mess and looks like shit. Fortnite does it better and that's just a hurriedly cobbled-together clone made as a cashgrab. ARK also did the battle royale game better with Survival of the Fittest. Battle royale can certainly be a fun genre if a proper entry to the franchise finally gets made, but PUBG feels like the worst one available. Yet people gobble it up because their favorite twitchcuck plays it.
The games are really not comparable. Noans Sky has no gameplay at all and was marketed with no gameplay. It was sold on the promise of exploration and pretty colors. Pubg is sold on the promise of gameplay and nothing else
