Hot springs scenes have been an essential part of most anime since the fucking 70s

In my 160 hours I think I've seen maybe 3 harem cliches? The hot spring scene being the longest at a minute or two followed by Mythra waking up in Rex's bed.

Doesn't seem that bad imo. Though I do admit the game is basically a waifu farming sim.

It would only be cliche if there was a peeping tom or boys stumble into the spa by accident and get busted, but thankfully they didn't go that route.

Onsen are an integral part of Japanese culture. It has literally nothing to do with anime. The prevalence of onsen scenes in anime is a product of the Japanese obsession with onsens and bathing in general.

That implies XB2 is doing it with some awareness. It's not, though. And XB2's problem isn't cliches, it's using bottom of the barrel writing in tandem with cliches, some of which happen to be bottom of the barrel anyways.

Seeing as Riki and Tora were the best characters in their respective parties both gameplay and storywise, sure, why not.
