FUCK OFF
r8 my base m8s
also i wanna raid some outpost, i have about 7 people with armor, advanced helmets and assault/charge rifles, what kind of things do i need to prepare for?
Soy
Ah, just what my starting colony needed, thanks Randy
>Colonist breaks: Slaughterer
>Heads for the barn full of boomalopes
>give micropenis to all prisoners before releasing them
fuck you randy
FUCK WHAT A CUNT
all my food supply backup, my batteries, and my killbox tunnel.
he just rekt my entire fucking base, its gonna take ages to recover and winter has already begun.
Time for manhunter rabbits
looks like you should have reminded yourself THAT OVERCONFIDENCE IS A SLOW AND INSIOUS KILLER
What mods are you using?
...
Thanks.
Randy is true. Randy is just. Randy is the only path. He will slay the non believers and bless those who he deems worthy. Do not tempt his wrath, foolish, user. Would you prefer those harlots over your messiah story teller?
>Randy
>Not Hilgarde
How does it feel not being part of a viking epic?
>growing ambrosia
>80%
>Solar Flare
>durr hurr Cassandra hardmore is way more original than literally anything happening guys
Fuck off, user. Randy is my LIGHT.
Cassandra's a bitch who'll send a solar flare AND a raid of 10 centipedes
Hilgarde will just send the centipedes, because you're a warrior tribe, not some pussy fucking eggheads hiding in a fort.
Game had any meaningful updates in the past 6 months? Haven't played for a while.
If I disliked prison architect will I also dislike Rimworld? They're always compared to each other and I'm not sure if I should get it.
...
It's very likely you won't like this as well.
What do you dislike about PA?
I didn't like Prison Architect, just couldn't get into it and hated the missions where you play the same prison but it never transfers what you built before to the new mission.
Love Rimworld though, pirate and see if you like it
I just couldn't really get into it I guess. I always felt like I didn't build a building the right way or that I was missing something. I only played for like a couple hours though so maybe I just haven't played enough.
Just curious, does luciferium cure status problems like this?
I think luciferium cures everything.
I have to wonder why you're even considering going with that character
Early game is slow here as well but you'll have a clearer image of what you need, since colonist will tell you what they need
Like the other user said, just pirate it and see if you like it or not
Where should I go
Can you actually keep a colonist alive for forever with EPOE stuff?
I didn't, but then I got to thinking it'd make for a nice hardmode story.
>Crash land on planet.
>Grandma who was en-route to a gilliterword for treatment survives as well.
>Have to attempt to take care of her and get her off world to safety.
It could be interesting. Also, she's got a nice skill spread if you're not rerolling colonists, but I remember I had a guy with a bad back on luci for a year who never got better, so I think she's pretty much worthless.
Luciferium actually stops pawns from aging in vanilla, so you could use that to keep someone alive forever, assuming they don't get critically injured.
It doesn't
But you can get Luci heals more mod, it gives gradual healing, it heals chronic diseases and it makes the person younger
Don't addict anyone to luciferium unless you have a stable enough trade economy to buy more of it. Otherwise when you run out they just go through mental breaks then die.
>give her luciferum
>wait until she gets younger and becomes your waifu
>seven decades of roastie whore experience
>20 year old body
How hard would it be to destroy all pirate bases in vanilla with the default 30% globe size?
I don't know.
>Some tribe of savages attacks you with bows and spears
>You have Assault Rifles, LMGs, Snipers, Grenades, Vests/Helmets, automated turrets, etc.
>They actually manage to get the upper hand somehow
Can pawns die of old age?
Never had anyone especially old before
I've had a few that got terminally ill and spent a majority of time bedridden. I harvested whatever body parts I could. Such is life on the Rim.
Just started this colony. Desperately trying to get those potatoes going so I'll survive the year. Bears have killed 2 of my colonists and foxes are somehow getting to my pigs. Need a prison soon as raids are picking up. The southern portion of my base was blown apart by some dick with grenades, I thought having thick natural mountain walls would help but no.
One of my oldies recently had a birthday and celebrated by getting hearing loss.
>get embrasures mod
>get energy shield mod
>raids are trivial to repel now
I think my next colony will be pure vanilla
How do I stop colonists from disturbing sleep for each other? All those fuckers have their own tables in their rooms but no, he needs to go to the different room where a loving couple sleeps, and occupy the biggest fucking table all for himself.
Some people just want to watch the world burn.
>people actually paid $29.99 for a literal flash game
so this is the true power of pc gaming
Have a table near your food supply
Make a dedicated rec room
I don't believe they die from old age, but what happens is that the chance they get debilitating health problems increases every year, so eventually if someone gets too old they'll just become a vegetable and then die eventually that way.
I pirated it but I'm having so much fun with this autism simulator I'm probably just going to buy it even if it's one of those early access games.
I know you're just shitposting, but is there any flash game even remotely similar to Rimworld? I'd really like to know.
>early access
and it's early access, wow.
I've put 300 hours into it. I think it was a great price for money per entertainment hour. If you don't like strategy/basebuilding games why not fuck right off to another thread?
tfw a caribou herd while fighting mechs
right in the center of that shifest, then procede to rape and kill every single visitor you will have
How do you go from this?
>great price for money per entertainment hour.
stop and kill yourself
To this?
...
legit question here, how many of you selfinsert with one of the starter characters?
do you make something special when they die?
those are some sweet looking minerals, what do they do?
And end uplike this?
Fuck this mod is so good, is not OP like Glitterech or vegetable garden but is not weak like many other mods, now i have a field where raiders and caravans die after 5 seconds of exposure, then i bring my pawns to loot everything they have before they die or get destroyed.
Why? I spent money for a game I enjoyed and enjoyed it. Normies will spend $100 at the bar or $30 at the cinema for only a few hours of leisure.
I fell that I got a good deal. The game has its problems but that's where modding comes in.
all the time. i just give them a golden tomb, i also bury them with their pet.
I don't have any problem getting silver for luci, I have a problem finding a consistant vendor. Nearby outlander unions don't restock after purchase, and trade ships carrying it are pretty rare.
I've never self-inserted I think I'm too autistic for that.
You're looking at minimum two decades in game of pirate hunting, assuming you're taking down 3 a year about. It really depends on how fast you can mobilize a kill squad and keep them fed, you could probably speed things up if you had multiple colonies with one dedicated specifically to farming up as much packed survival meals as possible launching supplies to your army.
Not technically, and I think they stop aging at 99. However, they're more susceptible to negative effects, likely to develop chronic conditions, and have lesser stats in disease immunity gain, etc. Something specific will likely do them in, but it'll come about due to old age.
What do they do? they consume everything that is alive on the game and it expands so fast your only hope to contain it at the start is to cut it, what do you get in exchange? pretty looking minerals that yield small amounts of steel, plasteel, gold and even uranium.
I have a lot of table top characters I'll use which are just based on facets of my personality, but I've never made a legit 1:1 of myself. It's the same deal with XCOM, I'd never make a pawn that I have a real attachment to because they'd probably die very quickly.
I never self insert, but I make characters from other games and anime.
It's summer. My colonists harvest another massive crop of cotton for selling. Corn, potatoes and hay, too.
It's finally time. We're leaving this dump and moving. We're settling way up north, where it's nice and cold. It'll take a while, but we'll get there.
This is where Redwood-by-the-river was...
I'm still clueless of the game, I don't know how soon I should go build a generator and make a refrigerated stockpile room, or what to focus on at all in the beginning.
>alert says an animal just appeared, its fur is valuable to traders
>go try to kill it
>it's a giant llama and it wipes me the fuck out
those are called thrumbos, they are die hard bastards.
also you had the right idea, you should get a refrigerated room asap, but it wont really be useful without something to keep cold. usually do it like this myself:
barracks + kitchen > farm > storage > freezer > workshop > defenses. From there i just keep expanding in more or less the same order
Okay, basic stuff
Firstly, build wind turbines, generators are memes, aid the wind turbine with another wind turbine or a solar panel and build a few bateries.
You usualy have a few days worth of food at the start, just try and build a storage area, a dining area and imediately a refrigerated stockpile, just try and stop time when you land, see where you want to go and settle and use the planning tool, it works fine.
Youl manage to find out how to do it user,
I build a ton of launching pods. We'll ship the bulk of our colonists and resources by air.
This is as far as we can get, and I make a new colony here, south of the Swan Jungle, in the Goodankle Range.
>thrumbo appear
>raiders or caravan shows up
>aggro thrumbo
>run back into base
>collect loot afterwards
damn completely forgot about the farm, will make sure to prioritize that
alright thanks
Also, can you build rooms inside 'mountains' or rock? I know I wanted to put a stove in it but it said it was outside, so wasn't sure how to make it inside. Was thinking of getting inside the mountain for better defense.
And also, what's an okay colonist skill build? Right now I mostly prioritizing on people with growing, cooking, shooting and construction
It's a work in progress. Currently working on the prison on the left, then going to expand into the marble area to the right and fix the clusterfuck storage situation.
anyone have any suggestions for what i can do to alleviate boredom? i get a certain stage and im bored to shit
It'll be a while until our two dumb droids get to the new colony with our livestock and the rest of the resources, so we need to get started with this colony.
I built a refrigerated stockpile as quickly as I could, but two consecutive raids almost throw my colony into a spiral. Most colonists got hurt and wanted to fuck shit up, but nothing big bulky melee colonist Severin couldn't handle.
thatsan okay start. Also yeah you can live in mountains.
The way you make "inside" rooms is by making an enclosed space with doors and roofing it
Raider and tribal genocide.
My goal is to make a neater base this time around, so I start laying out a basic stockpile and some barracks (for now).
I'll start expanding on them.
>unroofed batteries.
Starting yet another colony today since my saves always get fucked up and unplayable I'm bored of doing the same old things what do I do? Only think I absolutely want is costal tile so I can use bridges to make a sea colony
>colonists bitch about not having a decent bedroom while in the colony
>sleeping outside during a caravan is completely fine
Start doing crazy shit
>huh I wonder what would happen if I tamed all the boomalopes and sent them and a random fag to kill a raider outpost?
>I wonder if I can kill this centipede army with only turrets?
>I wonder if I could completely pack up everything I have and start a new colony?
make a bigass raiders concentration camp
What mod are you using for the droids?
The "End game" in Vanilla rimworld is extremely boring, I don't blame you. That's what mods are for.
>Steel and other minerals that grow out of the fucking ground
Even if they do each your base this is too good not to cultivate, just cut it back into a corner of a map whenever it gets too big
Also what mod?
>furfag mod
make a colony consisting solely of humans and kill every furfag you find
the only way to redeem yourself
>killing only furfags
Too simple
ALL non-humans are furfags user.
Still a week out, a droid stops functioning due to how rough the trip is. Now there's just one dumb droid bringing the animals here. If the caravan gets ambushed, that's it.
>unroofed
newfriend-kun watch yourself around your seniors
It's called Androids, it's OP if you don't roleplay it. My droids can only do dumb tasks like hauling and cleaning.
Is the vampire and werewolf mods any good? Also any other noteworthy faction/creature mods?
Then what about the niggers ad faggots?
>not killing fucking everyone
