Cloud died during filming and they don't want to tell anybody
What's even worse is that 2017 was the 20th Anniversary of FFVII and they got nothing. Pathetic.
Just throw a Phoenix Down on him and he should be okay.

>“We are working closely on the development of Final Fantasy VII Remake."
That's it.
Nomura is working on it. Expect a release in 2025 after they kick him from the project.
They probably saw the backlash for the real time combat and are changing it
You're more likely to get a girlfriend than to ever have FF7R in your hands.
I hope so
You are a meanie.
This is the new FFXV. I hope you enjoy the first episode in 2024
>Is it dead?
You know what? Yeah. One of (if not THE) biggest game announcments SE have made in the last decade is dead and completely cancelled because they've not shown it off for a year.
You absolute fucking cretin.
2 years
if this actually happens im going to shoot you
>because they've not shown it off for a year.
make it two years now.
How can Square Enix be so massive but constantly fuck this up? Any other big publisher would be whipping their developers and rushing it out the door, which is also bad, but Square Enix will just announce a project and let it rot for ten years before anything happens.
Well fuck me I guess that's it then, rip game.
Kys
Guys, it's okay. If it releases at the end of 2019, it'll only be 3 years after FF15 released.
Doesn't mean much when most of the early info has killed a large portion of the hype around the game. Going silent is only making it worse at this point. Also major titles being canceled a few years into development is nothing new.
They definitely showed it too early in the development cycle. Expect a release to be no sooner than 2020.
>Dec 2015 - Dec 2017
>1 year
It might be dead, but it's in a fucking coma. You don't know what kind of publisher you're dealing with here. They will gladly underdeliver their most anticipated projects a decade after they're revealed.
>"Should we just like cancel FF7 remake?"
>"Yeah fuck this guaranteed 10+ million seller"
I've only just hit Nibleheim again and recruited Vincent. How in the fuck are they going to remake this game without ripping away its identity?
>How in the fuck are they going to remake this game without ripping away its identity?
You've figured out why they've taken so long to announce the remake, and why they're now taking so long to make it
why? turn based is better suited for FF. Have you seen XV and type 0?
>Also major titles being canceled a few years into development is nothing new
Square Enix has this thing where they put all the eggs in the basket, even if logic tells you to cut your losses. unless it's from the Eidos branch.
>directed by nomura
This
Have the higher ups NEVER played or seen this game before? The fact that it's episodic has put me off anyway.
As long as the combat is like Kingdom Hearts, I won't care. XV and T0 combat is unacceptable though.
>>Yoshinori Kitase, Producer
this is the man who envisioned Final Fantasy X as an "interactive movie" because he thought it would be cooler than a game like Final Fantasy VII. This is the man who sent the franchise down the wrong path.
remake is gonna be a shitshow. Don't waste your money, folks
it's all over. nothing to see here
Type 0 is solid for a PSP game and FFXV was fucked in a multitude of ways that could have been fixed easily if Tabata wasn't incompetent, some of which actually were fixed in the DLC but not in the main game.
We got a Kingdom Hearts 3 tribute and a piece of artwork I think.
>master1200
learn how to pixiv dumbass
>it will take 10 years for "episode 1" to release
>it will take 100 years for the whole story to be told
teach me, oh pixiv master
Maybe they shouldn't have put on a guy as director that's already working on multiple games and didn't even know that he was direcotr until it was too late. That's how you know how fucked up everything at Square is.
