Enter the Gungeon

>no health drops
>game actually prevents you from getting good items if you get hit even once
>items in general are rare
>bullshit enemies
Is this a prime example of artificial difficulty? Holy fucking shit I don't think a game has ever left as much of a bad taste in my mouth as this one.

All they have to do is make health and keys drop as much as BoI, then it'd probably be a fun game, but as it is now it's fucking ass.

>>no health drops
?
but it does

but yeah it doesn't look as as good isaac from gameplay standpoint

All the shit you listed AREN'T problems.ETG has a lot of problems but you getting fucking good aren't one of them. ETG's worst flaws are:

>RNG reliance
>enemy scaling
>little to no synergies or useful items outside of guns

My problem with the game isn't the difficulty but the lack of interaction between items compared to Issac. Its really easy to become OP in Issac but not so much in Gungeon.

No fuck you, health needs to drop more often than once a blue moon, this game is too punishing. Fucking Super Meat Boy is more forgiving then this shit.

I find all of it's issues are solved by playing Nuclear Throne instead. Less guns but the pace is on point, rounds are quick and most importantly, fun.

>30fps

Played it.

Finished it.

All achievements.

It's a shit game.

Basically

RNG + Shit enemy scaling + Little/no synergy of items/guns

Guns are either shit or amazing

Other items are shit or amazing

Heres the stratergy

Memorize literally every enemy + whore out cover + pop out for 0.3seconds and flire out 999999shots then hide.

GET
FUCKING
GOOD

Enemy scaling is my biggest complaint, bog standard bullets should be fodder in later levels, not scale up to be roughly equivalent to enemies introduced on that level.

Apparently it's going to be getting one more big update with balance changes, so hopefully they fix some things.

My issue is that The Pilot is just completely superior to all the others. Holy fuck that kit. I find myself unwilling to play anyone else.
Pilot>>Convict>Marine>>>Hunter

>I find all of it's issues are solved by playing Nuclear Throne instead.
shit 30 fps garbage game lmao

honestly i agree mostly with this. these are the things that make the game not fun and just feel like a chore to me. im hoping the update which is supposed to make it 'easier' fixes this shit because i feel it really punishes you for fucking up more than it rewards you for doing well

also all this except for all the get gud aspects

It's really frustrating because there's actually a lot of enemies. There's enough variety that there's no fucking reason for me to run into base level bullets and shotgun shells in the 4th level onward.

Robot is the best character because it has the best starting weapon.

bullet or bust.

mfw i beat the dragon with the sword on full hp

Yeah, but the bullet is easy mode.

was thinking of picking this up on switch, is it worth my time?

What do you think the game was trying to do? Not vague shit like "be a good game" but was it trying to solve a problem with twin sticks, did they have a hard on for a specific mechanic, what intent do you think the devs had? Do you think they accomplished what they set out to do?

this is the truth
noob character
if you're not shit at games

I love Isaac as much as anyone, but the game really does need to become more difficult.
Gungeon's lack of synergies hurt it a lot, but Isaac has the problem that there was an item power creep post vanilla.
Probably could be helped by improving the AI and giving monsters ways to deal with the more bullshit strategies

It tried to combine Binding and Nuclear Throne after the devs played too much dark souls.

They failed.

how do i get good?
