I bought a PS3 for a bunch of games that never actually came out for it, but the Yakuza games made the purchase worth every penny.

I just finished it, and from what I can gather Kazuma runs Sunshine Orphanage.

There're too many references and callbacks to previous games in Zero. It's the best one, but you won't be enjoying it much if you haven't played the older games

I just finished the saejima arc and holy shit that was amazing ad fuck. I feel like the game isn't gonna be as good as this arc.

This but opposite. I started original Yakuza a few years back, but got stuck on ENTERTAIN THE LITTLE GIRL MISSION. So I don't know story of the series at all. Can I play 0 or Kiwami without confusion?
