shit game, WW and TP were literally 10x more Zelda-y than this shit

>ganon doesn't have a single line spoken in-game
what the fuck were they thinking? what a shitty fucking villain

Worst part about this zelda. Ganon and the master sword scene were not good. TP still reigns supreme with the best sword scene. And OoT with dorf

>Ganon
>talking

>good world
>nice mechanics

>horse shit quest
>horse shit puzzles
>horse shit bosses
>horse shit fighting gameplay

not worth it

BoTW is shit, especially the final 'boss', but fuck you for using that normie vine meme.

He talks in Alttp you fucking retard.

They were thinking he doesn't talk in Zelda 1, which is what this game was modeled after.

I disagree on the puzzles and fighting.

The puzzles didn't go as far as they could/should have, but the game is meant to be taken on by young/inexperienced players too, so I understand why they held back a bit even if made my enjoyment suffer. But seeing them use a few central tools and physics and come up with all that creative stuff was amazing. The puzzles were easy the closer they were to settlements and got noticably harder the further they went away.

The Korok (sp?) Seeds were great too, because it kept you from staring into space or your minimap, and rewarded you for going off the beaten path. My only complain is that some of them are crazy obscure, and I wouldn't have found them without the DLC mask or some kind of guide. Who searches for a rock on top of a random tree? Really?

The fighting is up there with Windwaker, which I would argue has the most robust fighting engine of all the Zelda games. Zelda has never been about fighting in new and amazing ways. Combat was never a highlight. This game has headshots, parrying, last second dodging, and hitbox (softcore)porn. Not to mention elemental damage, physics, weapon types and properties (shields being knocked aside by heavy weapons, etc) and the durability forces you to learn to not play favorites or be smarter with your tools.

Play early game master mode and see if the combat isn't deep.

I really despise how much this game shits on completionists.

>do all the divine beasts
>Blight Ganons get removed and Calamity Ganon loses 50% of his health through a power of friendship cutscene attack
>be insane enough to collect all 900 korok seeds
>get a literal turd

There are so many other games which do 100% better and actually reward you with more content rather than less. Imagine if Ganon had a third more humanoid form where he was basically like a stronger faster more complex Lynel. Imagine if you got a "true ending" which was more satisfying than the default ending. I understand this is an awkward period for Nintendo, they're still figuring things out, but there's no need to stumble around in the dark when there's so many games they can learn from. God knows they already "learned" from Skyrim and Assassin's Creed.

didn't clarify that this third form would be unlocked if you do all the divine beasts

The justification could be that in the time Link spent adventuring, Ganon also got stronger.

>My only complain is that some of them are crazy obscure, and I wouldn't have found them without the DLC mask or some kind of guide. Who searches for a rock on top of a random tree? Really?
The thing that I feel like a lot of people on Sup Forums have trouble with, is accepting that korok seeds were never designed for all of them to be found.
I mean there is a reason for why there are over twice the number of korok seeds in the world than are even needed for the maximum upgrades they're used for.

You were never meant to find all of them. They were designed, just as you said, to make players actually look at the world. And also for there to be many Korok seeds that your friends could find that you'd never find.
Of course. Then there are the completionists who insist on getting all of them. Then complain about what excruciating that experience is.

>Didn't go as far as they could/should have

Nothing ever goes as far as it could have or should have in any game.

I suspected that but didn't know it. I was told what the grand prize was for finding all of them, so I knew there was no uber payoff, but there really should have been. Feels like a waste to me.

More people should learn from Gainax desu. Nothing pisses me off more than seeing something awesome in a cutscene you can't do ingame. DMC and the MGS series are notoriously bad for this. Developers should really grow some balls and go all out.

I should have been able to take a hookshot, tie up one enemy with them and then:
>Swing them into other enemies
>Hang them from places for DOT/crowd control
>Run around other enemies and trip them up, using the first enemy as an anchor
>Drag them behind my horse
>Pull them over to me and then
>Shoot them away/hit them
>Strike the chain with an electric weapon
>Heat up the chain with a fire weapon
>Cool down the enemy with an ice weapon (because the chain is magical blah blah)
>Rip weapons/shields from them
>Pull myself TO them
I could do this all day.

Agreed.

Still mad as fuck because Nintendo made one of the best games of all time. AGAIN.

How do they do it, eh?

Keep the tears streaming, they're delicious.

>we could have had hookshots/grappling hooks, but a lead gook had it removed for not being his "vision"
Imagine if climbing in BoTW wasn't boring as shit.

>Imagine if climbing in BoTW wasn't boring as shit.
Child.

>good world

I disagree with you there, I found the world extremely boring, it's essentially just a collection of shitty activities like shrines, seed puzzles, and enemy camps. Some decent side quests but they are mostly boring when you know the point is just to find another shrine.

Ultimately this is a world uninspiring world, virtually no feeling of discovery with anything. Despite the game's emphasis on freedom, it still feels like the developers are afraid to really entrap you anywhere, or afraid to have some areas that don't have glowing objects always in sight.

>finding climbing hard or engaging
How easily challenged and amused are you?

>hold up and watch a youtube video to not get bored

or take your ADHD meds

Remove the Nintendo logo and "zelda" title and it would be a 6/10

remove the dick from your throat and your brain would have it's much needed oxygen

Prove it

Nah, I throat a dick no problem. It doesn't fix that your game is carried by name only and it's actually mediocre at best. But stay mad and I'll keep the dick, fag.

i mean, you are a retarded faggot, and i've clearly lost too much time on a low iq subhuman already. Have fun being retarded, user

Prove it

I'm going to have to say climbing is meh af. Playing on Cemu with inf stamina was one of the smartest moves I ever did. I wish I could have stamina for everything else, but sprinting and climbing? WAY better to just get where I'm going.

Different user here. I disagree with you. I think the world is interesting, but it isn't full of WONDER. I go around with a bunch of things to do, never wanting for activity, always rewarded for b/sing around. But I never go and have my jaw drop at a sight. I never appreciated how much I wanted a structured environment until I explored Hyrule Castle-- the closet this game has to traditional Zelda environments. That being said, I also never go back to any place that I can name, either. Kokoro Forest, the villages, Zora's HQ, you name it. Now that I cleared out Hyrule Castle, I'd go there for farming, but that's about it.

The game needs to be better about that. I'd love it if enemies had a population and the combat was (even more) improved. Then, you could go clear out areas and get rewarded for stemming the tide.

If BoTW on Cemu didn't still have huge bugs, i'd give it a shot.
Inb4 "but there are no gamebreaking bugs! Being unable to enter one of the dungeons isn't gamebreaking!"

What gamebreaking bugs are there though? I've played through the whole game on cemu and console and the only bugs I've encountered are minor visual glitches (some of which has been fixed in the latest two versions of cemu)

When's the last time you tried? As far as I know, all the major bugs are fixed. I don't know of any you speak of in 1.11.2. Try again. It runs better than the switch at this point, and 1.11.3 is right around the corner, which boasts even better (somehow) fps.

>all the major bugs are fixed
"Being unable to enter 30 of the shrines, do 20 of the quests, or battle thunderblight ganon isn't a major bug!"

Almost all of the gamebreaking bugs are gone. Cemu 1.11.3 is also bringing a huge performance boost where you can get 40+ fps in shitty areas like the Korok forest and Kakariko.

>I'm still trying to play botw on an early version of cemu
good to know, retard.

You got a link to somewhere where you're getting this info from? Cause I think it's out of date.

>which boasts even better (somehow) fps.
Yeah, if you have in i9 @ 6.4GHz with 3 titans.

Are you trolling? Cause I feel like you might be trying to troll.

I got a 1070. It works. 60 fps. There are ways to install the newest Cemus that make them work just perfectly. There is CemuHook and FPS++ which boosts it, everyone uses them. You need a tutorial link? I got you, just ask.

WW was bad too though.

>Are you trolling? Cause I feel like you might be trying to troll.
>i9 @ 6.4GHz with 3 titans
Holy fuck kill yourself you retard.

>I got a 400 dollar graphics card and I get 60 fps
No fucking shit you mong

Nah, there are plenty of people with a lot worse graphics cards. Even if you can't get great results, then just upgrade your pc. Can't blame the emulator because your toaster can't run it. What's it going to do? DL ram for you?

I'm not the same user as the i9 guy.

>I'm not the same user as the i9 guy.
>that image
>that filename
Retarded and new, good to know. Try lurking before posting.

>top tier specs don't matter
>just upgrade to top tier specs to run the game smoothly
Way to prove him wrong. Good to know BoTW on Cemu still can't get stable performance on non-perfect systems yet. I'll wait another year.

I completed it yesterday and had zero bugs

completely wrong
BOTW is more Zelda than any 3D zelda

That guy is retarded so it's best to ignore him BUT the latest version of cemu does vastly improve performance to the point where mid-tier builds could run botw at 60fps or at the very least a perfect stable 30fps if you don't like frames between those areas. Just gotta wait till jan 1st for that build to release, or pirate it.

You better watch out with that opinion v loves ww.

But what is defined as a "mid-tier" build. This is what these people always do, anything less than a 1070 and i7 @ 4.0 ghz is considered low tier to them.
My build definitely isn't high tier, probably not even medium-high tier, but I can still emulate a lot of shit at good FPS. But how shit would a 1050ti and a i3 @ 3.70 ghz be on cemu?

youtube.com/watch?v=NINJj2BqPlI
and see related vids

>TP has best sword scene
>Not last battle with ganondorf in WW

Crazy idea: just try the emulator and see how you do.

That takes more time and effort than having some user tell me what it's like on his equally mediocre machine or link me a video that isn't bullshit.

Solve you're existential crisis by joining my thread!

Or you can fuck off back to lebbit where you're clearly from. Why not lurk before posting?

TP was shit. Get the fuck out with your garbage taste

Kys

No one else's answer is going to be accurate. Because they can fuck up their setup and you can fuckup yours, or the opposite can happen.

You can do better

>horse shit puzzles

The puzzles are literally the best in the series. What the fuck are you smoking?

So you acknowledge it takes time to set shit up, yet you fail to see in how asking is easier?

@401545138
>No one else's answer is going to be accurate. Because they can fuck up their setup and you can fuckup yours, or the opposite can happen.
Well I'm certain you're just doing some elaborate ruse. Not even worth properly replying to.

Fucking SAVAGE

I acknowledge it takes time to set up.

What I'm not ready to acknowledge is that someone else who has a "similar rig" is going to get the exact results as you. Besides, we're on v. People complain about anything. Someone might get 50 fps and call it shit whereas you would have been happy with that. So why not DL it overnight, set it up, and try your luck? If it's not up to snuff, you can just leave it there and upgrade cemu down the road. The game will still be DL'd.

Captchas started, so this my last reply. I hope it does work out for you one way or another. BOTW is great. Idc what anyone else ranks it as, if anyone sits down in front of it without a stick up their ass they will lose time and have fun doing it.

>hatred and malice incarnate
I'm in the game?

That's a really fucking low bar though. Zelda hasn't ever even had puzzles on par with the first God of War, and honestly even Darksiders is far less patronizing with pretty much the exact same Zelda puzzles in concept.

>which is what this game was modeled after
Then why do the dungeons miss, especially the rooms with an overwhelming amount of enemies?

What a fucking piece of subhuman shit you are famalam.

WW was complete garbage, what the fuck are you on about?
