Why does no one on here fucking talk about this?
>the entire fucking part in Hell towards the end
>the grav lift jumping at the end
Faggots on Steam have problems if they didn't think it was awesome despite being a bit short.

Link to video of these parts?
I can't play it
Also did you play it on psvr?
Yeah, on psvr.

I played it with these settings. The mission at 1:39:40 was really breathtaking in VR, and the grav lift jumping starts at 2:06:20. Of course it's much different to experience with the headset on.
I was afraid it wasn't going to have smooth camera / turning and movement but it does.
Actually, I used the dualshock and not the Aim, it looks like the Aim makes it a bit easier. Also that player doesn't look around enough.
How is it with the DualShock? How immersive and playable is it?
What about the move controllers?
Plays perfectly fine with dualshock, like RE7 you use your head to aim then. Better for sitting down in my opinion. I got a little sick when trying to play standing up because of the fast movement (they don't slow it down at all from the normal game) and sitting down is more comfortable anyway.
Didn't use move controllers so no idea.
I heard it sucks with dualshock
Nice to hear its good
How long is it? How is the replay value? Any free updates planned?
It took like 4 hours for me. I think you unlock another difficulty but I didn't actually check or try yet.
>Any free updates planned?
No idea.
Looks cool I wonder why they didn't just port the whole doom game
>smooth turning and movement*
>*But only if you use a gamepad
Meanwhile Serious Sam lets me move, turn, jump, and strafe at full speed with my motion controllers so what's Bethesda's excuse other than when they tried it with Fallout 4 VR it was shit because they tried to put item interaction on the same touchpad
But that's on vive and oculus right? Serious sam vr I mean
I'm pretty sure that option is there for the move controls too, it is for the Aim judging by that video I posted. I mean I didn't try but I don't see why they'd remove those options for move. Or are you referring to PC?
Yeah, also don't mix up Serious Sam VR with the VR Serious Sam ports. The ports are great, but Serious Sam VR is just a wave shooter. Using a program called Fusion that comes with the VR port of the first game even lets you play online with people playing the regular version of the game, so you can be in VR with your non-VR having friends
It's shit compared to Robo Recall
DOOM VFR PC here and no, DOOM VFR has no movement options for motion controllers. Just a gamepad or the Aim in regard to PSVR
Well yea you see PSVR doesn't have an analog stick on the move controllers
That's why full locomotion is so hard to do on PSVR without a controller or the aim controller, which does have analog
But then why do PC players get fucking shafted with this stupid shit?
the killing floor vr game isn't as bad as people claim
sure its not a killing floor game proper but its still pretty alright
just wish I had a friend or something with VR to play it with
Janky as fuck, misaligned gun models, wasn't designed around free Locomotion, slower paced than original game
On pc its a shit show
PC always gets shafted because console manufacturers provide incentives and better security.
Unironically considering buying a psvr headset. It's probably not worth it, is it?
It's because they designed it with PSVR in mind first
PSVR is dominating the VR market so it makes sense
Sucks how they treat the PC tho
I heard Fallout 4 vr is pretty good tho?
Depends on the price you can get it for. At $200 it's pretty good. The new version they just released doesn't add enough to justify the higher price, just use a pair of headphones.
The only thing is they might announce a true upgrade next year.
It's cheap and fun VR
Yea it's worth it imo
Must buys are
Superhot, Skyrim, doom vfr, ultrawings, vr worlds, farpoint, until dawn, rush of blood, raw data, EVE, resident evil 7, star trek bridge crew
>DOOM VFR
>Why does no one on here fucking talk about this?
>VFR
There are millions of VR owners now, you know.
that looks fucking awful
How?
Can I play it on Rift, or does it have the same trackpad bullshit FO4VR does
Only on vive, hardly even works on rift due to them designing systems entirely around the god awful touch pad
Bethesda had to have done that on purpose to fuck with Oculus right?
Couldn't good a good image, but they added classic maps to the game and it's a nice treat. Overall great vr experience
Hows the locomotion?
FO4 is fun on the Vive, but atm no card can run it without reprojection. You didn't expect top notch performance in FO4 made by Bethesda, did you?
Doom 3 BFG with one of the 2 VR mods plays pretty well btw.
...
>Why does no one on here fucking talk about this?
because you already got this:
youtu.be
I can only speak for the psvr, but it's pretty good. The aim controller is supposed to be the best way to play as you can easily aim and move. The dualshock works well although you lose some immersion. I have two move controllers and there are no locomotion options for it since I last played unfortunately.
I'm not sure.
The VR implementation FO4 VR looks pretty amateurish, so I doubt they had the time to mess with Rift controls (though I wonder WHERE the dev time actually went)
