here let me send you something too hold on hehe :)

Bought:
Dark Souls
Dark Souls II
Dark Souls III
Devil May Cry 4 SE
Dishonored
Dragon's Dogma
A Hat in Time
Kero Blaster
Momodora 4
Super Meat Boy

Might buy Momodora 3 with the last $1 in my wallet, was gonna get DMC3 but I hear there's gonna be an HD collection released for PC later

Was thinking of Just Cause 3 but I dont have money for it right now, even it being $7.50

just wait, JC3 was pretty shitty and isn't worth going broke over

>nothing
>nothing
>nothing

I bought The Witcher 3 and got gifted Dark Souls and Dark Souls 3. I've been playing Dark Souls ever since. What a game

looking for other suggestions of fun shit i can play with mostly a keyboard since i'll be traveling for work for awhile

i've already beat cuphead so don't need that

Cities skylines + dlc
Sims 3, generations, ambitions, late night, pets and seasons
BallisticNG

Don't have plans for more games, nothing is interesting me except maybe Banished.

i bought re7 in a keyshop
steam has shit sales since they abandoned the flash sale formula

>everything i wanted
>nothing
>everything i bought

what shop, g2a? kinguin?

90% of stuff i looked up is cheaper on steam so far than key sites

Alpha Protocol
nothing else
none. Alpha Protocol is good times

Dark Souls 3 is on sale.
Someone wants it? LA region only.

cdkeys
got golden version 20 pln cheaper than regular version on steam

>not buying ballistic ng when it was free
it's not even on sale right now.

>what you bought
Pic related
>what you're thinking about getting
I'm good for now, though I was hoping Valkyria Chronicles would be on sale since 4's announcement has me itching to replay it.
>what you regret buying
SuperFlight isn't really what I wanted, steam page made it sound like you flew through large continuous tracks of terrain but it's more like you spawn above a floating, procedurally generated clump and then when you eventually reach the bottom or side of the area get teleported to another. The lack of any feeling of continuity between them is a bit of a bummer but I'm still getting good usage out of it as a podcast game for GiantBomb's GOTY stuff.

bought Witcher 3
it's the first one of the series I'm playing. I don't know what the fuck is happening, what the fuck I am doing, and I'm stuck on this stupid well wraith.
I want to like it but it's pretty hard

UMvC3
Wild Guns Reloaded
The End is Nigh
Cuphead
Hollow Knight
D44M

All good purchases, well would be if I played them. I like how they look in my library.

should have gone with witcher 1 since it sets up the story perfectly and 2 helps you ease into the combat

>those first 3 games
oh boy if you haven't played them yet you are in for a treat

i wish i could play them blindly again
that's a fucking tutorial mob that teaches you how to use yrden or whatever the fuck that sign is called

I've played all three actually, just buying them on PC at last to consolidate my library. Though I never touched the DLC for the first two and it's been several years since I played them so I'm hoping to recapture some of the magic anyway.

i just looked up a few games on cdkeys and none of them are even on that site

too bad

I picked up
>Environmental Station Alpha
damn good metroidvania
>Monolith
a fun and polished rougelite. thanks for the recommendation, Sup Forums.
>Bleed 2
huge improvement over the original
>Slime-san
really fun twitch platformer. i love the shopping area.

well, time to get myself the fucking three of them, then
mob takes no damage whatsoever, whenever it splits it gives me the succ and gains back health, and signs don't fucking help

Then maybe you are supposed to use some bomb or an sword oil.

yeah i know a lot of people initially put off by 3 since they had no idea what was going on. the stories and choices you make carry over, just be warned that the first chapter of witcher 1 is hit or miss for some people but the rest of the game is gooood

3>1>2
play 2 on easy and steamroll through that shit combat as fast as you can

I bought Talos Principle and I'm enjoying it so far.
I'm thinking about picking up Danganronpa 2, Opus Magnum, and one of Yooka Laylee/Hat in Time.
Might pick up The Room 1 and 2 just because I'm feeling like puzzles and they're cheap.

yeah I think geralt told something about this but I don't know where to gather materials and shit
I dropped skyrim because of this bullshit craft system already

bought insurgency 4-pack for like $5

bought Escape From Tarkov standard edition for $33(non-steam sale)

I'm quite pleased

What are some games I could talk my way through? I've played both Baldur's Gates and Planescape.

Is Tokyo Xanadu worth getting?

Nothing yet. Can't seem to find anything that would pander to my economic management sim (not city building sim).

Also the PS4 controller support sucks dick in Witcher 3. What a let down

There's always Icewind Dale if you haven't played through that already. I'm not positive about Pillars of Eternity, but that's something you should look into.

I'm thinking of picking up roguelikes: stuff like Caves of Qud, Tales of Maj'Eyal, or Cogmind, but I keep thinking how I played Crawl and didn't like it. I think I tried Nethack or something like it too and found it fun just didn't feel like it was going anywhere. Do those games often a more engaging experience? My biggest problem with Crawl is that it seemed like you just pushed tab and then clicked on the enemies. Not much depth (which I know isn't true). Is the genre just not for me?

it has full controller support, if it sucks it's because you did something wrong you retard

what combo is best for 30 bucks?

Well?

Bought the FFX remaster
I don't regret it, I knew the models would look dumb.
Also I have the ps2 version 2 feet away from me but I want to officially play it on my PC because I fucking can

What are games I can use my powers to mess with people mentally like in Kotor?

>crosspad is bugged
>sometimes character just drifts off when stick is on neutral position
>can't dismount using O, have to type E on my keyboard
and surely something else

The right one.

I'd probably just Okami and Bayonetta myself.
Depends on how much you value/want to play those cheaper ones.

just emulator everything you can

if your character is drifting off that means the deadzone of your controller has gone wonky

i just got done playing the game on my ps4 and it works fine. are you using DS4Windows or just using the awful steam controller plugin?

ff9/bayo/DA:O

My controller works perfectly for every other game I've played it with. Mostly Dark Souls 3 desu
I'm using DS4windows

>Divinity II, Nu-Doom, Overcooked, and the HexCells bundle
>SFV, Guilty Gear, Owlboy, GTA pack, Bulletstorm remaster, Broforce 4 pack, Turbo Dismount, Naruto 4
Nothing yet. I've played everything except for Doom and enjoyed it all. Overcooked was insanely fun. If you have local friends consider it a must purchase.

>There's still a wordfilter on t b h
years just go by

"If memory serves me well, you're supposed to enable DS4 support in Steam Big Picture but then disable Steam Controller configuration in the controller config for that game (where you'd normally enable/disable rumble). I remember having trouble getting the game to work with native DS4 support even then, but it's worth a shot."

that's all i could find online if you're having problems with certain key mappings not working. besides from that i guess just go into ds4windows, remapp and make sure the joystick dead zones are fine?

same 2bh

...

I'll get into that.

Avoid
Hotline Miami is the only must buy in there. Hollow Knight was only okay imo but you might enjoy it.

Thinking about getting Planescape Torment because Sup Forums loves it but it looks rough around the edges.

I'd rather do that than play shit ass tier ports.

i've been playing roguelikes for about 15 years, so way before the current revival. i cut my teeth on games like Nethack and ADOM.

anyway, Qud's the best roguelike i've played in years and possibly my favourite ever. but it's a heavyweight (very difficult) roguelike. but if you're willing to put the time in, it's fantastic. the setting is fascinating and really involving and it has a great looking tileset.

i've got cogmind but i've not put much time into it. it looks great but it's clearly a very deep game, and not really representative of typical roguelike gameplay. it's definitely aimed at genre veterans looking for something different and i wouldn't really recommend it as a jumping in point.

if you want to get to grips with the traditional genre, the best modern game to do so is the stripped-back and gorgeous Brogue. it's also freeware, like the great roguelikes of yore.

Don't give money to Beamdog, just patch the original.

>bought Escape From Tarkov
why?

What are the best space games? Money is no issue and I have Stellaris and was thinking about getting the DLC

>what you bought
nothing
>what you're thinking about getting
nothing
>what you regret buying
nothing

Sure is nice not caring about Steam sales.

youtube.com/watch?v=rsjKQlfzTs8
Ruiner is bretty good

>I have Stellaris and was thinking about getting the DLC

Utopia and Leviathans is worth it. I wouldn't get any of the cosmetic/portrait packs.

>Bought
Hollow Knight
Brothers in Arms bundle
Call of Juarez Bound in Blood

>Thinking
Darkest Dungeon
Dishonored DotO

>Regrets
None, Hollow Knight is worth 3x what I paid for it

they are mostly good ports though, not that you would know what the fuck you are talking about or anything

>what you bought
Ruiner
E:D Horizons
Rabi Ribi and DLC
Darkwood
Redout
Grim Dawn
Yomawari Night Alone
>what you're thinking about getting
Hollow Knight
Grim Dawn DLC
>what you regret buying
Nothing right now

because its fun, why else?

Hollow Knight or Dragon's Dogma?

neither

Star Citizen :^)

I already bought Dragon's Dogma but I could refund it. I'm 40 minutes in, when does it pick up if at all? Did I make a mistake?

Bought
>midboss
>siralim 2
Not thinking of getting anything else. Wanted BoI Rebirth and Afterbirth since I have rebirth on my vita but fuck paying 20 bucks for both right now

Yes

Bought:
>Dungeons of Dreadmor and both of the DLC
>Higurashi When They Cry 1, 2 and 3
>Overgrowth
>Lugaru HD
>Star Shelter
>Metal as Phuk
>Death Road to Canada

Did I do good, Sup Forums-kun?

When was it free? Never heard of it before right now

Dude 40 mins is fuckng nothing. The game actually opens up when you get to Gran Soren. But you still might not like it. I was enjoying it since the beginning. Seeing how you are wondering when will it start to be fun I'd recomend to refund and don't fuck our brains with your buyer's remorse later.

On paper it sounds like my idea of a near perfect game. In real life it makes me furious at just the thought of it

until a few months ago.

Bought:
Dropsy
Lovely Planet
Monolith
Pony Island
Pyre
Steamworld Heist
The Next Penelope

>le pretentious indiefag

I bought
>The Surge
>Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition
>Chroma Squad
>Pillars of Eternity

Being a PC fag, of course I played three of those games for 20 minutes each, and never even booted up Pillars of Eternity. I ended up refunding The Surge and Dragon Age, so basically all I got was Chroma Squad which actually does seem cool after me playing the first two levels, and Pillars.

Probably gonna buy Divinity Original Sin 2 as well.

seems like the top 3 games of this sale are hollow knight, dead cells and witcher 3

...

store.steampowered.com/app/358130/The_Curious_Expedition/

Is this game good? I've never heard of it before but it looks fucking based. I just found it now and I have done no research and I'm tempted to just buy it right now.

>Bought:
A Hat in Time
Cuckhead
Rayman Origins
Rayman Legends yes I know about the 40 Origins levels
Noitu Love 2
Pac-Man Championship Edition+
Hollow Knight

>what you're thinking about getting
Nothing. I pretty much got all the games worth a damn

>what you regret buying
DariusBurst:CS at $35 when that shit is only $20 now.

Any games that will make that empty feeling go away?

Bought:
Prey
Trillion
Monster Monpiece

Thinking about:
Cuphead
Killer Instinct
Blazblue CF
Xcom 2 expansion
Fire Pro World

Thanks for reminding me, Brogue was the one I played and I thought it was fun for sure. I liked it just didn't feel progression while I was playing it. Should I give it another go, or does Qud do that part better?

I'm thinking of getting Ys 7 since I liked Origins and Oath. Is it worth getting? I hear that it is different from Origin and Oath since it has a party system so it makes me worry that the gameplay will be different as well.

Cuphead and Killer Instinct are good.

I played it on the PSP ages ago. Doesn't quite live up to OiF or Origins, but is a great game none the less. It's pretty different but not in a bad way.

This user is absolutely right

Help. What do I buy?

what do you like user :)

LISA will help you embrace that empty feeling, if nothing else.

What's a game that I can build my character to solo it optionally? Sorta how like in the Divinity games there was the lone wolf stuff that you could use.

>tfw 2 american santas tried but couldn't gift me anything because of steam restrictions

Thanks Gaben.

Does the game have a lot of micromanaging, because I would hate to have to stop to go revive my party member if they die when the boss is on me and that would annoying.
