A Boy and His Blob
Before the Echo
Its amazing
The music in that game spoke to me
Lost technology is like Sengoku Rance
Redeemer is a fun game.
Fighting is simple and killing is so satisfying.
Is this or any games with 2D "souls" combat good?
I want good 2D sword combat but not so much metroidvania exploration.
Dead Cells is definitely a good game. Played a few hours of it (waiting for it to be "finished" completely) but the combat is great, and the parts it mixes work well. The only "metroidvania" aspect is that there are permanent upgrades you can find that give access to different paths (generally after you die and restart).
Ember is a RTwP RPG that is really good. Decent story, good combat, fun combat, enjoyable characters. 2.49 on the store.
age of wonders 2 shadow magic
...
>Dropsy
The ending comes out of left field but the atmosphere is great and the puzzles are enjoyable
I really enjoined Cally's Caves 3. Good OST, comfy and has a little girl. I think who likes A Hat in Time will like CC3 too.
any other underrated point and clicks suggestions? I'll recommend The Dream Machine and The Journey Down in return
>Eldritch
>Murder Miners
>Worlds
>Spelunky
Tell me about Earth Defence Force? Worth it? Any must have DLC?
A Hat In Time is mediocre shit, thanks for the warning.
I'm enjoying it too. It's got an Escape Velocity vibe.
Super Cloudbuilt is about as good as vidya gets
>Murder Miners
Please sell me one this, can I easily jump into a game with friends or do I have to setup some hamachi shit
I personally enjoy full scale all out battles with dozens of ships of all sizes.
>Cunny's Caves
I've heard Salt and Sanctuary is a lot like DS. Only like $5 right now
...
Yea if you like going fast and platforming get Super Cloudbuilt. It gives you the speedrunning vibe too.
I'd fill Cally's Caves if you know what I mean.
the fuck is this shit

Point and click adventure games, 80% off
It doesn't have LAN support, so Hamachi won't do anything.
That's my only gripe with the game.
It's very easy to start your own server, set up maps and rules.
The game (without the high speed movement mode turned on) can seem a bit slow, compared to other arena shooters like Quake and UT, but it has some really interesting jumping mechanics which adds depth to the gameplay and heightens the skill ceiling.
Learn how to do basic "overjumps" before going online, and you'll be able to stomp most of the 12 year olds who fill the servers.
Also, be aware that most of the weapons have bullet magnetism. When the reticule turns red, you are guaranteed to hit (not with every pellet with the shotgun, and not when spraying with the SMG).
The pistol seems weak, but three shots with the last one being a head shot is a guaranteed kill. It also has a large crosshair, which means easy bulletmagnetism, even from across the map. Aim above the head with the bottom part of the circle barely intersecting the head for a certain headshot. Switching weapons can make for faster kills than simply shooting three times.
Many other things to learn, but it is very playable right out of the box, and most people you'll meet online are complete shitters.
It's hard to say. It depends on how much you love the idea of shooting a fuckton of bugs and aliens because there's nothing else to the game. The higher difficulties need a decent amount of strategy but are very grindy. Amazingly fun in co-op, though. Not sure if there are many people playing now, but playing with Sup Forums during the PC release was the most fun I've had in years.
Low fantasy permadeath misery simulator about building a mercenary company and rampaging the countryside.
Overworld like Sid Meiers Pirates except with events and map is randomly generated.
Battles are a turn based action point allotment deal with rock-paper-scissors weapon classes and praying to RNGesus
Do you have friends to play? Buy it.
Don't you? Drop it.
Only 4.1, by the way.
Hell its 50 cents I'll snag it, thanks for the info. Been looking for an accessible shooter to stomp my friend.
I'm thinking of getting a platformer, any on sale thatre worth picking up?
No problem! It's one of my favourite shooters, despite being simple and ugly.
I've ended up buying a bunch of copies for all my friends, so if that's likely to happen with you too you might want to get the 4-pack, because you can't buy a 4-pack once the game is in your Steam library for some reason.
Other than that, really do look up overjumps - they are vital (and very easy to execute).
What kind of platformer? Umihara Kawase games are on sale and they're the best 2D platformers around.
Intrusion 2
Spelunky
Super House of Dead Ninjas
Here's a decent explanation of basic jumping. There are a couple more advanced jumps too, but they are hardly ever used.
so far added these two to the cart
he asked if there were any "good" games like that. salt and sanctuary looks like a 5 year old made it
Redout
this
This bad boy! Rivals of Aether.
I can't wait til Icons comes out and flops so hard that no one tries to cater to smashfags ever again.
>Battle Brothers
>tfw you will never spend weeks upon weeks eating nothing but grain and bread with your battle brothers and die as one facing hordes of undead.
Half Life 2: Death Match is something everyone should have. I guess a lot of you younglings haven't played it yet. It is extremely underrated, and very fun with friends.
I think it's about 50 cent in burger steam now.
Gemini rue Point and click
Beep Physics based platformer
Contagion Hard zombie game
Gnomoria dwarf fortress clone
Hydrophobia. Worth it just to see the water.
Kero blaster from cave story guy
Its a fucking good game
Is ludo the kino of memes?
Rainworld.
Its best when you get into a certain state of mind. You have to get comfy and roleplay as the slugcat and dont try to force trough it.
If you dont get "it", it becomes a misery simulator very fast.
It is 2d dark souls.
I bought Dead Cells in the sale and I can tell you that it's a really great game as of now. Early access though
5 is coming to the west in a few months, and having played an import copy its vastly superior. 4.1 is great if you have some buds for co-op and just need a fun grinding game.
Did they actually have some mechanical improvements or is it just the same game with more crazy enemies and better graphics?
Scribblenauts unlimited
Oh man, haven't been in one of these threads since around Thanksgiving time. You guys are great.
Shilling for Voidspire Tactics. Binged the game for 15 hours straight the day I bought it and loved just about all of it.
And shout-out to Khimera: Destroy All Monstergirls, which is literally free so you have no excuse not to play it if you like Mega Man and punching shit.
>Destroy All Monstergirls
only with my benis
Dead Cells is great. It sounds like the game you're looking for.
But user, you get to fist them.
play the first one, baka
For some reason that monster girl game wont stay in the library if you uninstall it.
Is EDF any good? I want to shoot shit.
Did someone say hidden gems?
Xanadu Next, goddamn this game is good
youtu.be
Yea did just that and shot out copies to my friends, looking forward to playing with them.
Perfect I went in game for a minute and wasn't sure how you could perform any kinda jumps besides basic
fun with friends or online. Solo is not nearly as fun
"Ludo" never quit caught on
People just call the game itself "kino", which is wrong as fuck but also funnier somehow
>Sky Rogue - arcade plane combat
>Songbringer - 2D Zelda-style action adventure
>Xenon Valkyrie - 2D action roguelike
>Monolith - shmup with some level generation
>Crouching Pony Hidden Dragon - action RPG made for the Neo Geo in 2014
>Midnight Ultra - trippy retro FPS with a unique style
>Fight'N Rage - great and very pretty beat'em up
>Tower 57 - twin stick shooter, nice looking pixel art
>Baobabs Mausoleum - strange episodic adventure game in the vein of stuff like Space Funeral
>Realpolitiks - grand strategy in a modern setting
>High Hell - short arcade FPS
>Nadia Was Here - retro turn-based RPG
>Bannerman - 2D swordfighting game, pretty bloody for what it is
>Shrouded In Sanity - action adventure/horror thing reminiscent of Bloodborne, has a metroidvania sequel in early access
>RymdResa - space exploration adventure game
>Demon Peak - simple but neat metroidvania
>RunGunJumpGun - runner action game using only two buttons for jumping and shooting
>I want to shoot shit.
One of the best games if you just want to do that.
It also has the best scientist guy in any media.
Because it's free, it's never marked as being "owned"
All the fun, none of the commitment.
>sengoku rance without the girls and rance himself
Bah

A pretty short and cute CYOA VN. Definitely not worth the retail price of $10 or whatever, but it might be worth the $1 to some. Honestly better to have your kid or younger family member play it. Nothing special but it's charming.

3..2..1..Grenades!
It's like an arena shooter where the only weapons are grenades and zany variations of grenades. It has a Super Mario 64-style overworld (a factory, not a castle) and takes a lot of inspiration from it (i.e. you need to collect 90+ "Golden Grenades" instead of stars). Alternatively, you could say it's like Diddy Kong Racing or some shit, only instead of entering races you enter Deathmatches and other gamemodes
It's not a collect-a-thon, though - I got 100% achievements in under 6 hours. It doesn't quite have SM64's scope, it just wants to be it very badly
Has local co-op (only), but you can do all the arenas with bots. Make sure to set them to Hard or they're too easy
>Demon Peak
Didn't a Sup Forums user make that game?
Can anyone name me some good first/third person action games with slashing or shooting things?
is Homefront: The Revolution good?
It will never go below $30 on Steam, so get it if you want it while the population is still active. You can almost always find a room, but Inferno (hardest difficulty) is somewhat rare because people are casuals. Don't be afraid to host rooms yourself if you do get it. I can play with you if you need someone.
Sword With Sauce has both plus a Captain America shield.
This looks cool but the graphics requirement says like GTx 4000 or something required, and I run my games on a laptop. Think it'll still work?
Shaolin vs Wutang
shattered god is dirt cheap and a decent JRPG
i've got the itch so im going to need a list of plane/space/mech games
That looks like one of those flash porn RPG's from back in the day where you'd have to pick the right answers and the reward was always a gallery of hentai
>Steam sale hidden gem thread
>Not being full of indie titles
You're a moron.
pic related is absolutely fantastic. screenshots really don't do it justice.
i agree. the teleport feature is brilliant.
I know
>origin
but Titanfall 2 is 10 bux. I think its really good and needs more players. At the very least I think the campaign was worth 10 bux.
store.steampowered.com
2D RPG with a focus on combat. It's a decent game, even if it is incredibly homoerotic. The last game the devs made was a bara porn VN.
Momodora:ROTM is the single best example of 2D dark souls.
Just bought this, its very fun
Syrian Warfare is great
What's this? does it run on loonix?
Be quiet PC, soon only the players on xbone will remain. As it should be.
I heard it was but when I played the demo nothing gay happened. When does it start?
