I used to hot-swap spyro 3 and diddy kong racing. Spyro handled very well in that world

This was such a great feature and nobody ever talked about it. Playing goldeneye with all the animal crossing characters was amazing

I used to have a USB "Game Combiner" where you could put two discs in it and it combines the games. I used to love putting in Duke Nukem 3D and Zoo Tycoon so I could shoot the animals.

Did you not have the code hand book? All games had a 12 digit code that would make them run seamlessly. Of course you didn't need them, but the games would often crash and be otherwise very unstable. You could even subscribe to their news letter to get monthly codes for the new releases

its funny i never needed that, my old CRT TV had that feature built in. Funny how nowadays VR is hot fuzz when back in the day we could do such magical things as this. Sure resolution was awful but where is this generation's sense of magic and wonder?

I used to pretend I was a Final Fantasy character (usually Cloud) and play with a plastic sword pretending I'm in a turn based battle with some huge monster I imagined (usually my bed, a night stand, a shower head, whatever) and I'd swing my sword at it in the same ways Cloud/Squall did. I especially liked mimicking Braver and Cross-Slash, and magic and shit like that. Then at the end of the "battle" I'd do their victory poses depending on who I was roleplaying as. I'd even hum the battle music while pretend fighting.

Those are some cherished childhood memories.

Back when Pokemon came out, I used to swallow a ton of water in the shower then spit it out as hard as I could like I was using Hydro Pump

I remember there was a mission in GTA3 where Misty got out of the car and the mission ended. You could still see her walking though, and I wanted to break the game so I used the rifle to make her head vanish. Then a few missions later she showed up again and her head was still there

Most are real. Because of the way the N64 was coded, it would load levels onto its RAM and get smaller data like player models directly from the cartridge, so if you pulled out Mario 64 on Bob-omb Battlefield, the level would stay there but mario would vanish. Then you'd put in another cartridge (e.g. Banjo Kazooie or Majora's Mask) and because the player models usually had the same filename on their catridges, it'd load in Banjo or Link's model.

Naturally as such it wouldn't work with games where you had multiple player characters (e.g. Super Smash Brothers, or Ocarina of Time since they added suffixes of _child and _adult) but anything where you had a primary player model worked fine

actually this doesn't work on later models of the n64, which led to Rareware abandoning the stop and swap model for Banjo Tooie.

when i had a "going into games" machine - this woulve been early 2006- i used to go into majoras mask A LOTand one of my fav things to do was fondle romani at the ranch. one of the great things about fondling video games characters is they don't fight back or struggle because they don't recognise u as a player character..it's like you dont exist. but let me tell you, she smelled like SHIT. in fact everybody in that game did..I got used to it after a while but that first moment when i smelt romani up close..i was almost sick. she looks clean & nice when you see her on television but when ur there stood next to her its a different story. The machine was stolen in the end and im kinda glad. it had started to take over my life
