no, its was good when it came out because the graphics looked good back then and open world exploration in the wilderness was some carved.
combat will suck no matter what, the plot is boring and the option dont really give you much of a different playthrough.

The gameplay itself is boring compared to what we have now.
The sandbox is pretty decent though.
Best time i had with this game is going through some modded quests, and the DLC for the first time.

skyrim is pretty much like botw, in that the open world part more or less makes the game, the story itself and actual filler is kind of shit
skyrim with mods is where it's at tho, you can do a lot of shit, maybe more than any other game
